I like to spend an afternoon learning to play that song, but I’m afraid it would take a lifetime of dedication and practice. Do you have that arrangement for sale? It’s chocked full off so many goodies.
Thanks Ed. I hadn't heard of Yank Rachel before but I really enjoy his playing and such a great blues voice! I think it may be that the timbe of the tenor uke and mandolin are quite similar at times. Cheers!
Superbly played Squire. I've been trying to get my head around this arrangement on and off and know Its a tricky one to play so huge thumbs up from me.
Hi Jerry, just saw this. That would be great if you want to do any dubbing. I do play a bunch of jazz standards if there is something else you would like to try. Cheers!
@@uklecticfred5918 I am thinking of Izzys' combo of Over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World (for COVID "flattening the rainbow curve") using Izzy's version. I have the chords and lyrics. I am busy writing with Jake at the moment but June should clear up. I replied on EMail. Stay in touch. th-cam.com/video/V1bFr2SWP1I/w-d-xo.html&feature=emb_logo
Ace Blues Brother - Muddy Waters, Leadbelly and Dr John would be proud of you!!👏👏👏
Wow, that's the best of company. Thanks so much.
Love the style brother.
Very much enjoyed listening to that, would love to spend an afternoon drinking in a small venue with him playing in the corner, eyes twinkling
Thanks Ronald, the small venue sound perfect, just my kind of place. Cheers!

For some reason I was reminded of Yank Rachel's mandolin in blues string bands. On to TH-cam search...

It's a real fun tune to play. Thanks!
Love this! How does one learn to play like that? Any books you recommend?
Thanks much. I don't have any books to recommend sorry, I learned this by watching David Beckingham play it.
Nice play and nice sound
Thanks very much

Beautiful tune, and beautiful uke. Who is the maker?
Raymond Rapozo of Island Ukulele of Kauai. Glad you like it
@@uklecticfred5918 Thanks! I'll check him out. You've got yourself a beauty. :)
Awesome my friend! May I ask what uke is that? 😃
Hi Nick, sorry for the late reply. It is a tenor made by Raymond Rapozo of Island Ukulele of Kauai.
Hi Pat ! It's Jerry Battista here. GREAT playing. I am tempted to "steal" your audio file and add myself (guitar) plus bass and drums. Just for fun.

Great playing! Uke sounds great too! Which brand is it?
Thanks Sascha, it is a tenor uke made by Raymond Rapozo from Island Ukulele of Kauai. I was lucky enough to travel to Kauai 5 years back. Cheers!
Are you using a different type of uke or did you tune it differently to make it sound like that?
Sounds like standard g,c,e,a tuning to me.
@@alieheadley7238 yup, standard re-entrant tuning. Cheers!
Ardderchog!
Thanks so much!
Sounds great, you should post some lessons, I think there would be a lot of interest.
Hey Rick, nice to hear from you. Good idea about the lessons. Cheers.
