    What a great teacher you are! I love how excellent you describe and play, especially the fact that the level of this is neither too easy nor too hard - instead a really nice intermediate level to get to know more intricate strumming patterns. Thanks a lot!

    Thank you very much for this lesson! You have helped me add to my ukulele blues repertoire. Would you mind telling me what brand and model of ukulele you're playing in this video?

      I'm playing a I'iwi ukulele made in Hawaii. But don't go there unless you're rich - it's very expensive!

      @@Moonrakers1 An interesting and elitist sounding response. You’re rich, then, is what you’re saying?

    Can this be done on a baritone ukulele?

    • @olearntz
      @olearntz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure. If you pick the same frets, it will be another key, but this pattern is unique to any guitar-ish Instrument.

    Thank you for these excellent tutorials.
    I have just picked up the ukulele after many years of messing about with the guitar and I really enjoy it - your instruction is very helpful in transferring my amateur guitar fingerpicking to the ukulele.
    I know that strings are a very personal choice but what brand(s) do you use ? I have just aquired a spruce top Kala and I think it's fitted with Aquillas. They feel quite 'hard' compared with the La Bellas I fitted to my other ukulele.

      I use Living Water strings produced by Ken Middleton

    Why do you play d7 and e7 but not a7?

    • @folkorchestraukuleleoxford6374
      @folkorchestraukuleleoxford6374  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Because at the beginning of the tune it's a good idea to have a low A note in the bass, simply to establish that we're in the key of A major. If I started with a A7 it would be a low G in the bass which doesn't quite work for me. But it's a matter of choice!
