Just out of curiosity how long have you been playing ukulele, i love all your videos and always look forward to see you play, i just retired and started playing several months ago, thanks......Scott.
About 15 years I guess but my ukulele skills are based on my guitarplaying, which started 50 years ago. Without the guitar ability I would not be able to play ukulele like I do now, it's just a prolongation of that, so that answer is not really helpful in your case. If you want to fingerpick you'll have to get that 'thumb independence', then you can tackle anything I do. I have several free teaching video's for that www.daddystovepipe.com/free-ukulele-lessons.php
every time I see a Daddy Stovepipe video I think, “didn’t I meet him?” then, after cudgeling my fading brain I remember, “Nope, it was Daddy Treetops.”. 🙂
Have you ever done the song Mississippi Blues on either your guitar videos or the ukulele videos? I searched on your site to see if you had one but was not able to find it. Was not sure if you had done one or had the tune available for sale on your site in either guitar or ukulele. First time I heard this tune it was done by Stephan Grossman.
I recently had a near death experience, to my surprise I found myself walking up to the gates of heaven. St Peter greeted me at the gate and asked me, "did you bring your you-tube daddystovepipe collection?" I said my cell didn't come with me, they sent me back.

Sorry, those lapslide pieces are way too difficult. Will do "Country Blues" eventually.
