They've become one of the tightest live bands on the planet through sheer hard work and determination, and they still have an absolute blast playing with each other. You can see it plastered all over their faces during every live show. A lot of bands would be getting sick of each other after more than 11 years together. .I think these five were fated to find each other.
The members have called themselves a "Miracle Band" - even they are astonished that, even with their wildly different backgrounds, and through all their trials and tribulations, they've stuck together as a band and become the best of friends. Misa quipped: "I hope we're still doing this as grandmothers!"
You've exactly described what Band-Maid does that few other bands accomplish: cohesion, complexity, every part intertwining and flowing in, out, and synergistically, yet accessible to every level of listener. We are witnessing genius. Every new Band-Maid release gives you more than you expected and makes you believe that they'll deliver more than you expect on their next release. I've been listening to Band-Maid since the end of 2020 and not since The Beatles have I anticipated a band's new albums so much. Every album has at least one breath-taking song, sometimes several.
A well oiled machine, every member doing what's needed to create a whole song. Kanami does the demo first, usually she composes on the piano first, then puts that into her DAW and sends that to MISA - the demo may have the outlines of the bass part but MISA will take that and make it her part, then she sends it back to Kanami who sends it to Akane. I think this is the secret of their music, each member contributing their part and each part may be different. Thanks for the reaction and enjoy your comments.
Their incredible stamina at maintaining their unique cohesion or singularity is simply stunning !! They do all this while each having opportunities to shine individually. It is TRULY the MAGIC of Band Maid !! 🤯❤️🔥
For other bands, "Honkai" would be their best song. For Band-Maid, it is one of 40 to 50 deep cut bangers that litter their discography. Band-Maid always aims for perfection with their song-writing and musicianship, because they are always challenging themselves to serve the very best music and performances to their masters and princesses. As The Beatles wrote: "The love you take is equal to the love you make." Band-Maid loves their fans and always strives to make them happy through their music. The Maidiacs completely and utterly adore our five incredible, wonderful Maids and we want everyone to know that Band-Maid is the best progressive hard rock band on the planet. 🤘🤘🙌🙌💕💕
Realize that this extra added intro will only be used for one touring season, and then discarded, not to be used again. They have shown the ability to keep writing new and interesting add on parts to any of their songs for an enhanced live performance. As an example, Play has about 4 different intros, that I know of. I am sure some fan has a data base of all the extra parts added to all the different songs!
This song didn't hit me too much off the album but then I saw the live version they did at Eggman which blew my socks off. And now this with the bass-drum intro. Stunning performance. Great reaction.
Amadeus Kanami- it starts there but all the players add their own nuances and extras to create this mélange of exquisite morsels and tasty bits. You mon ami are struggling to find the right words to describe these unicorns- hah good luck mortal. I ran out of superlatives years ago, so now I have to make up new ones. It is very musical composition is what truly sets Band Maid apart, you could maybe find five other players for their incredible compositions, maybe, big maybe to be sure. But nobody out there is writing such profoundly different, really new music, and prolifically with over 140 bangers and mash to date. And to do it all live, and better live Yes they are their own genre, wea re so lucky to have them, all my old boys are dying off ( not Keith Richards, he'll outlive the cockroaches ) but we have the Maids to save the day
I'll be 60 next March. What you say is very true. When I try to tell my peers that Band Maid is the best band of my lifetime, they look at me as if I've gone senile. Repeated listenings to every song in their catalog is the clincher. There has NEVER been anyone like them. We are lucky to be alive to see it ! ❤
You used more sophisticated phrasing but perfectly described how I feel about their music. They have this sense of creative freedom, and the individual style is embraced and encouraged in this band. Band-Maid is a happy place for these 5 musicians / artists. With their each unique difference, they dance around each other, and dance together at the same time. You'll find something intrigues you in each and every song by them. And as you dig deeper into Band-Maid, every member start stealing your attention in turns. 😊

If you like more havier stuff, especially like 80's heavy metal, you absolutely must check out another band from Japan called LOVEBITES. They play every type of metal. Lovebites - Holy War (live) should be good starting point :) th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html

I’m running out of words to describe how much I respect these amazing musicians. I just love Band-Maid, Greatest Band of our time 🔥❤️
❤
I was an atheist until Band Maid. Now they are my religion😅. They are proof that miracles do happen
So you're a particular type of shinto.
The members have called themselves a "Miracle Band" - even they are astonished that, even with their wildly different backgrounds, and through all their trials and tribulations, they've stuck together as a band and become the best of friends. Misa quipped: "I hope we're still doing this as grandmothers!"
All these intertwining melodies first travel in Kanami's head. Some of them come out. Some still remain there.

Simply the best in the business at this moment... and so happy I found them 6 years ago
Ah, the sadness of a Band-Maid song being almost over..
Unseen world is full of amazing songs, all of them are worth a listen 100%
For me it’s still their best masterpiece. The best album in a run of incredible albums.

This whole show was a blast, playing some of the 'leftovers' after the 33 song Yokohama Arena show with 19 different songs and just 3 repeats.
Thunder Buddies intro. I Can't claim that term. Loved the Kanami/Miku last couple of chords at the end.
全員、カッコ良すぎる!ライブをたくさんこなしたからか皆んな腕が逞しくなって貫禄が凄い!
でも、楽しそうにやってるのが最高に魅力的!
This is off Unseen World, the same as Manners and Blackhole. There's also No God and Afterlife off this album as well with official videos.
Bandmaid perfection!❤ For me personally best band ever!😍🤩

Japanese vocab lesson for today: Honkai, 本懐. _noun._ 1. Ambition 2. "Criss-crossing applesauce into the biosingularity". 😆

Well said. Amadeus Kanami indeed. Except the part about Keith Richards and cockroaches - that made the tea spill out my nose lol. :)

I believe that Honkai translates as "Ambition" which is a great name for such an ambitious song, ne?

A drum & bass conversation.......love it !!
😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘 Kanami, please sell drops of your secret sauce?

You paused right in the middle of Miku saying "You will forget about me someday". Never, Miku. Never.
Misa has grown so confident in her performing. It so awesome. We're so lucky.
Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things!
Just sit back and have “Enjoy Time!”
🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!
Flea move over! You have just been surpassed by the funkiest bass player on the planet. MISA, MISA, MISA!!!!!
2 different beasts. Love them both
❤😂

Kanami soloing the whole song❤❤❤
Listen to Sayonakidori from the acoustic Christmas concert. Akane, MISA and Miku.
He has already reacted to that.
@@DeanF_MIDI He did Catharsis.
Band Maid is an objectively great band. Not everyone has to, or will, like them… but they must respect them! If not, they don’t know music.
Suzi Quatro could play a funky bass. Check out her song “ Your Mama wouldn’t like me!😊
!
