You dont say a word about accesability, which is a huge point in buying a phone in my opinion. Apple is basically useless if you dont own certain products, programs to be able to do basic stuff what is there on the get go by an anroid phone.. That is why i dont buy a 12 mini for example. I want a small phone, but at the same time i dont want to be controlled/owned by a californian company through my phone...
I'm an owner of Xperia 5 II and I agree with almost everything is said here but one thing. It is not underrated phone at all. It has serious issues with camera system which is pretty much a deal-breaker for a very expensive camera-phone - ~$NZ1500 parallel imported with pretty much no service / no warranty (my first car costed me less thn that!). Basically camera provides hit or miss experience all the time. Sure it devilers very good photos but only in very good light conditions . Otherwise blury / out of focus, underexposed shots with blown out highlights are guaranteed whatever photo app is used. Moreover screen is not bright enough at day light (compared to Pixel 4 for instance - my backup phone) and just worse quality . Wireless charging, 3D Face unlock and tap-on-screen camera button in Photo Pro app are missed more than the pleasure to have a headphone jack. So...it is a perfect phone in vacuum. It would be great to have it for, say, $NZ500 - &NZ550. In this case I'd have zero complains :).
I absolutely agree with you. I upgraded from an iPhone 11 Pro to a Sony Xperia 5 II. I was smitten by both the headphone jack and the technology powering the cameras on the Sony (the advertising was making the Sony to have the best camera out there). The form factor also seemed nice as I could have more on the screen due to the height. At first it all seemed okay but after a week or two, the headphone jack thing wore off as the volume produced by the phone isn't good enough to power decent headphones, the camera was bad (yes photo pro and all that is great but I couldn't give a rats arse, I just want to take photos with one click and want them to be consistent). I felt like it was quite a downgrade and was very dissapointed as new reviews were coming out trying to sell this phone as a phone for 'professional photographers'. I am not a professional photographer. A couple of weeks ago I sold my Xperia 5 II and switched to the Samsung S21. I swore never to switch to Samsung but am glad I did. The photos are consistent, look nice, and most of all, I could quickly take the phone out of my pocket and snap without programing the Pro App. I really do feel like most of the photos coming out of my old Xperia 5 II were blurred, lacking sharpness, muted and just plain inconsistent. If you are one of those people who has the time to learn the phone and use raw photos/edit them after then great but I am not one of those.
@@RandomUser-tj3mg I did, way too buggy and the HDR/night mode artifacts still there. I joined the private group via telegram last year and even now its hardly changed.
@@manuj1912 brother, it's the exact same thing, super amoled is a marketing term used by Samsung just like retina xdr is used by Apple. It's the exact same thing, so the guy wasn't wrong.
Neither. Both are bad. ASUS ROG 6 is what we recommend. The beats them with a faster charging support with Upton 65 watts, has bigger display and has better stereo speakers. Dual battery, 6000 mah with an excellent battery life which beats the iPhone 14 Pro Max too.
