The Sony really only fell behind in the camera stabilization. Apple has gotten theirs to be very smooth. It had to reload a few apps but that can just happen whenever. The 5 mkII is the only phone that I've been interested in over the past couple years.
XPERIA 5 mark 2 just ditched the iPhone 12 twelve times.

Yes but no wireless charging, no biometric scanner, no IOS & ecosystem compatibility, better front facing camera, not natural and higher definition front facing camera, lower resolution, lower ppi and no 5G, etc list goes on
@@nicktan4530 Don't need wireless charging, it has a fingerprint sensor (masks don't block it), Android is better, front facing camera does the job just fine, it does have 5G, 21:9 OLED HDR screen which can stream 4k TH-cam videos in glorious HDR, and loads most apps quicker, and is hundreds cheaper - beats it anyday
@@Radictor44 Well, there is still more stuff and factors to consider but will take very long however still think iPhone is better phone objectively but does not justify its price point in fact neither phone are but my preference will still be both Xperia 1ii and 5ii any day over that overprice iPhone. Both are overprice though. Love the niche of Sony though, am a Sony fan but not biased.
Yes thats what I said in fact just stated the main objective point which makes the iphone a better "objective" smartphone than Sony or the rest of Android in fact same reason if I were to place iphone and the galaxy series. Not every point of course and yes both phone does justify its price tag indicate the overall greediness by both companies and zero competition competing its own core competency and niche. Iphone competing with Iphone for example. So overall Iphone is better phone objectively but my preference is Xperia 1 and 5 due to no stupid notch, no distracting design with punch hole and alienated rectangle camera design and best of all 3.5mm headphone jack. Last of all, Sony being Sony ! I do love the Note though. Looking forward for 4k 120hz if with stylus, wow.
@@nicktan4530 overall the sony is better in a lot of specs,cameras and af,video quality with manual controls,audio codecs(LDAC,DSEEHX...),display resolution and color accuracy,upscalable with sd cards,jack 3.5mm, usable nfc,
Speakers and is faster with applications.
The iphone major point is IOS but i find it usless for industrial work,is too limited even for simple programs like MS word ,power point,outlook,maybe the Iphone has a better phone signal(the sony are not famous for that).
In every day use are all fatastic phones.

Are you sure? I find the iPhone speaker sounding much better, especially the low end. This is coming from an Xperia 5 user.

Nice comparison. One thing though: the unlock speed of face id vs. the fingerprint reader is not similar at all. On the iPhone you have to turn on the screen, lift the phone to your face and then swipe to unlock. The Xperia unlocks with a single press of the power button. Ever since the 5s iPhones had an extra step when unlocking. Back then you had to press the home button again after it's already unlocked.

I'm in the UK so when j got it they were throwing in the headphones free with it and they are fantastic headphones as well.
My daughter has the iPhone 12 and is going to sell it to get this she said because all the extra add one for iPhone are so expensive.
I've dropped this phone twice (onto a carpet and onto a tiled floor) and it didn't get damaged at all.
The cameras are great the speakers are good and you get a headphone jack as well (which most phones don't use now) the 120mz screen is fantastic and it plays all the top games easily (call of duty come on it and it has a software boost program which means the games all play great) I would buy it if I were you but lack of parts might be a problem in the future but that's not a problem here and I haven't needed any parts anyway 👍

I have a Xperia 5 ii
every one had forgotten that even iphone uses the sony sensors for their camera .the only thing is software as they use AI technology which make the photo show off .which doesn't even match with the original scene .where as sony has the best lens and software where it doesn't show off its photo and match with the original scene
iphone has the worst of the worst pixel where if you zoom in the photo the pixels goes on breaking and even NOKIA is much better than the iphone where the photo doesn,t goes pixels breaking while zooming
finally i conclude that IPHONE is no match for sony camera and sony technology and phones are just show off phones with weak body structure
for me the xperia 5ii is better and the price is the same like the iphone 12 with 64gb

I know I am a bit late, I've owned Xperia 5 II for half a year and I can say its hell of a phone. The biggest problem, however, is the camera. Even though the hardware is better than iPhones and its made by Zeiss, Xperias post processing is really rubish and you cant get reliable, consistent photos out of it. Sometimes the photos are good and yes, you can manually shoot it through Photo Pro and get awesome results (mainly after retouch in Lightroom)... But thats not what I want from my phone. I want to simply take the photo and i want it to be well exposed, sharp with consistent colors (and video too). Thats why i am willing to try iphone for the first time. I've always had android phones, but I've just had enough. However the computing power, display, format of the phone, weight, fingerprint reader, SD card.... was absolutely superb. Nice thing about the speakers is that they were facing forwards, it really gave you such dynamic vibe. But iphone's speakers are louder and they have much more satisfying bass that Xperia can only dream off. It's bit shame that comany like SONY cant really work on photo postprocessing... Thats my only complain and reason, why i sold the phone.
