What is your facility currently using? Talk to your leadership and present the issue and the solution you found. Involve your infection preventionist and safety officer if need be. That is a HUGE safety concern.
Same, my facility uses utility gloves that go past the wrist, then apply masking tape around the cuffs. Some of my coworkers use those thin nitrile gloves alone which is just terryfying.
Hello, I need some advice about trying to become a fully certified tech, I have my Provisional Certificate, but still need to do my 400 hours to become fully certified and I’m struggling to find a hospital/facility that’ll allow me to do my internship. They only want people that have prior experience, to work in their facilities, and most don’t have internships programs, leaving me stuck. Any advice would be most appreciated, thank you.
