      Great!
      I just found your youtube channel today and I watched 3 of your educational videos from start to finish. The way you teach is awesome. I'm not after a certification or a career, I just want to learn more about contamination control process, including high level decontamination. I learned a lot viewing your videos. Thanks for sharing, I will keep watching your other videos. All the best.

    Would you say a 12 week online course is enough to get certified? thank you

      Depends who the teacher is and how capable the student is. In my case, yes.

    Hi sir steve ....ramadan kareem....im so confused about the peel pouch position on the autoclave ...because some said about the peel pouch is plastic is under the
    paper .. i hope you can answer my question...thank you ...May Allah will bless you for sharing your knowledge.❤❤❤❤

    • @BostonCareerInstitute
      @BostonCareerInstitute  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Let me try to answer your question as completely as I can. 1) the optimal position for the peel puch inside the sterilizer is on its edge with the paper side angled down slightly. 2) inside the sterilizer, the peel pouches are arranged paper side to plastic side. 3) you may put one peel pouch inside the other a) never fold the pouch inside b) never put a bigger pouch inside the smaller pouch c) put pouches paper to paper plastic to plastic when inside the pouch d) never put a peel pouch inside another package. Hope this helps and all the best to you

      Great stuff thank you for posting. However, please don't focus on this before you pass the board exam as this would be considered TMI (too much information) and will prevent you from absorbing the required knowledge base.

    Well 'Steve' I have several observations...1 why are you NOT wearing a beard covering? ...2 The correct terminology is "proof that the item has been through the sterilisation process" NOT reasonable assurance of sterility...re:- indicator tapes etc. 3 Rigid containers are archaic and should be consigned to history! ...4 what is the scientific basis upon which you claim that the 'wraps' must be exposed in the department for at least 2 hours before use??? ...I work in a sterilizing department in Australia and clearly we have standards that are way ahead of the primitive standards of the USA!

      Thank you very much for your comments. I'm very glad that you paid close attention to the video. Everything I state in the video is per AAMI standard which is a golden standard for Sterile Processing procedures in the United States. As for my beard cover, at the time of the filming, the department policy stated that the beard quarter inch or less may not be covered. HAVE FUN IN AUSTRALIA

      It saddens me to see that the standards in the USA are clearly so much lower than here in the Antipodes! I am, however re-assuered that we have standards that are so much higher than in the USA! Wow! who would have thought! The USA has such naive procedures as protocols?
