Ya.
A good tip when you are trying to layer colours like Katelyns first attempt is to pour it onto a popsicle stick just above your poor. This allows for a more gentle pour, less distance and won’t have such a piercing stream. You could also use something like a spoon. Works great.

That sounds like a bartending technique called floating: you pour slowly over the back of a spoon to create layers of color in the cocktail glass. It looks great when done correctly.

I think Evan should have done a thin layer of resin with no beads so it isn't bumby from the underside, unless that's what he was going for 🤷♂️
We thought we'd try the bumpy underside just to see how it turned out :)
I was definitely thinking the same thing. He did do the test with all sides being smooth so I'm glad he did the final product with the bumpy underside. It gave us the chance to see both options.

Evan probably should've painted his legs first, a nice pale grey or something, and probably put a plain layer with no marbles last so the bottom was smooth.
Either way, they turned out absolutely awesome! I'm totally going to make a concrete and steel pipe stool with this method. I'm super stoked to try this out.

On the concrete test sample, limited depth of subsurface scattering was actually noticeable. Just tinted resin was the right choice.
