I love watching videos where people try to replicate stained glass in alternative methods. My grandmother makes stained glass, so I’m intimately familiar with the process and methods. I’ve decided that whatever your next Twitch live streams max viewer count is, is the amount I will be donating to TeamTrees!!! So I hope to see you all next live stream!!!! 😁👍 🌳🌲🌴
Wooooo that is so awesome!!!!
$116 has been donated to #TeamTrees !!! I was hoping it was going to be more so I might be doing this again in the next E&K Twitch stream!!
Commenting on an old video, but I enjoy seeing the difference in Katelyn's editing skills as the years have gone by. She has improved so much and these videos aren't even bad at all, they are still so amazing. I'm so happy to see what they've done and how they'll improved over the years.
Stumbled upon this video and it took me less than 5 minutes to like and subscribe. I am COMPLETELY in love with both of you! I mean I love crafts and all, but both of you have such a great personality and it’s just so fun watching! And the editing and all. Can’t wait to binge all your videos now
Thank you so much! Means a lot! 😸
Just wanted to let you know, my youngest child loves my Make Fail shirt, his two older brothers not so much...
Haha well tell your youngest thanks for us! And tell the older ones that we are very sad, offended, and frankly CRUSHED 😭😭😭😭
@@EvanAndKatelyn Only three months late, but I think the joke was they made three kids - make = fail, make = fail, make. Youngest loves the shirt, two prior attempts not so much. :joy:
@@MrWhateva10 😆😆😆
12:37 Ngl, the CNC is cool, but I personally find it *a lot* more satisfying to see them assemble wooden projects by hand lol.
*eylaah sweep on screen* “sooo butifull” 😂 dead

👄
EvanAndKatelyn oh mah gawh I’m proud
5:47 When you guys said: "I have high hopes", I immediately had the song of Panic! At The Disco stuck in my head 😂
🎶 Had to have high, high hopes for a living 🎶
🎶Didn't have a dime but I always had a feeling🎶
I was gonna be that one in a million~
Never underestimate pride in your own work and how that adds value to the DIY item for you personally.
7:38 the way Evan looks at Katelyn ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
"Then we THINK, we can make that" 🤣🤣 Love watching you guys. I'm hoping to get your merch for Christmas! ❤
Thank you!
When Mark Rober’s theme pops up-
Fk yes. I love both of these youtubers, they’re both my favorite
To quote another great youtuber..."I want that!"
Glad we didn't paint the wewd
That’s a $12 thing!
Oh and got chills when you brought up #TeamTrees. I cannot wait to see how it goes! I have faith
It gave us chills when we first heard about the collab. So cool!
Use aluminum or brass square stock. Make your form by super gluing the frame together, pour the epoxy which will really hold the frame together and call it good.
I saw on Peter Brown's videos that he heats up his scraper before trying to get glue off the wood
Ooo smart!
It would melt the board might burn wood too
Katelyn: 1:34 MUAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Give me more resin.
Me: *Starts laughing *
This is why I enjoy you two so much, you're just so spontaneous!
😂❤️❤️❤️
I definitely prefer your rendition. There is no comparing DIY to store brought in my opinion. Making something yourself feels so much more wholesome, and I think you appreciate it more because of the time you put into it. Love your channel 👍
Thank you!
Debbie has lot of beautiful things on her etsy. I used the link to take a look.
Yes! Her work is so gorgeous! I was tempted to buy about 10 different ones but had to resist haha
The DIY looks more retro where as Debbie's looked more modern. Personally I like the DIY better.
Ah that's true!
For your base you should use a silicone mat. It'll be way easier to remove from your projects. Any leakage can be sanded away and if you sanded the resin all you have to do is just put a thin layer of course and it'll shine right back up. Just giving some advice from my oopsies. ❤️😸
I appreciate you guys making it for the "everyman", I don't have a cnc printer OR a makers space... place... what are they called?
😁❤️ yep maker space or hacker space is what they're called
Have to say yours looks like the NBC logo when the light goes through it.
As someone who's taken a stained glass workshop, I think u guys would really like it! It's not very dangerous or heavy on power tools, but it's really simple once u get down to fundamentals!
Donated. What a great cause!!
As soon as you said "in the shape of a cat" I got excited. Now for THAT I'd love to see yall use the CNC and do one of these in the shape of a cat. You could do the space cat one, or an entirely new cat design. I actually think a more simple cat design would be awesome and look slick as heck!
Mishler Furramily
It shouldn’t be any harder to do than the butterfly-shaped one Peter Brown made.
But if you do the space cat, leave out that ONE line, you know the one...
Thanks for donating!! Haha a cat one would be so fun
I’m so glad y’all are helping with the tree thing too 😭❤️omg I didn’t see this coming
🌲❤️🌲❤️🌲❤️🌲❤️🌲
Yay!!! Tons of trees were planted!
I love watching videos where people try to replicate stained glass in alternative methods. My grandmother makes stained glass, so I’m intimately familiar with the process and methods. I think your method works pretty well for replicating simple geometric designs, although the wood dowels wouldn’t really work for some complex designs. In that case your suggestion of laser cutting could work, provided you have access to one.
My little sister came to watch this with me:
My sister: I don't like the boy
Me: Why?
My sister: His jokes are not funny.
Me: 0.0
Lol anna bush haha
Oop
but he's a cute guy
So did you replace your sister yet? Its been a year
@@xara5417 tried to...
Seeing it Rainbow makes me more confident to do a stained glass using Resin, for something the size of my patio door.
Evan&Kateyln: We are going to make something that looks like stained glass
Me: oh no... it’s resin
Who watching this in 2020
Meh
Mmmmmmmeeeeeeeeee
me
Not me
2021
“Are you serious” at the haunted house timing triggered Siri on my phone 😆
I love their dynamic as a couple working together. This is couple goals. Also, the voice over for the cat gets me every time
the *is my bed*, I must have reminded a least 3 times lol
I keep thinking of those cookies that you put candy in the middle, when I see yours!
Katelyn: looks at the screen really close and says it’s so beautiful
Me: same
I prefer the one they made. The wood gives it a nice earthy vibe and the how the light is fuzzy when it goes through is very pleasing.
Evan: we should have used the low tempreture glue gun
Kaytlen: you mean my gluegun??
Evan: *smiles amd kisses her forehead to be good husbando before speaking* yes..
The awkward jokes Katelyn was making when they were making the frames were just amazing
Thank you for recognizing my comedic skills 🤣
@13:00 that final shot of just the clear resin looked so satisfying already... so pretty and clean!!!
I’m still sure that Kevin and Atelyn should be your undercover names to fight crime
Yeees
It's the perfect plan!
"I Love You" *gags to fishy smell* had me rolling, lol
🤣❤️
I freaking love you guys. You are the best dorks. My husband and I are pretty dorky, but your dorkyness is what I want to reach with my husband. I also love all of your videos. It's so satisfying to watch all of your crafting videos.
🤓❤️ thank you!
I LOVE YOU! honestly my favorite you tubers AND TH-cam couple
❤️❤️❤️❤️
