Killing a Wookiee will be tricky. Especially since that Wookiee is a Jedi. She’ll have an even harder time trying to kill that Jedi because Wookiee’s are very strong
Loved the first two Episodes , very enjoyed watching it . But hate that you need to wait 1 more Week to watch episode 3 . When its finished filming etc.
I took her leaving the sabers as evidence that her goal was taking it from them while alive. Otherwise, it makes no sense. Adds interest the characeter. Also, it could be a deliberate narrative chose to differentiate her from other Jedi killers who took the sabers as trophies: Grievous, Inquisitors, etc. If so, that makes what is coming even more interesting.
OK so this isn’t canon, the show is taking place in the Disney timeline? Either that or the guy training Mae is just some fallen Jedi playing “Sith dress up” Because correct me if I’m wrong, but the show is 100BBY and Darth Tenebrous and Darth Plagueis are the only two Sith and the guy training Mae definitely isn’t either of one them
I feel like it should be a lot harder to kill a Jedi without a weapon and I kinda roll my eyes to this ideal because a Jedi is not just a common foot soldier.. It’s hard as hell to kill a Mandalorian without a weapon, let alone a Jedi… and how does killing a Jedi without a weapon show us how the Sith inflitrate the Republic in other ways outside of just Mortal Kombat? I thought that that this show was mainly about showing us the ground work on how the Sith became politicians, members with power within the Republic, and etc?…
Then you aren't think hard enough: there's only two groups that know the patented secret to making a lightsaber, the jedi and the Sith. If Mae were to just start fighting Indara right off the bat with a lightsaber, much less a RED lightsaber, then the game is over, the Sith are back and the Jedi know it 100%. But Mae doesnt use a lightsaber. She uses knives, a weapon that anyone can get their hands on, and poison, a less common but still not rare tool of assassins. She is demonstrating her ability to not reveal her true allegiance to the Sith, and instead acts like a force sensitive agent, IE someone like Aurra Sing or Kyp Durron.
After watching your video I'm watching it again. And one thing stuck in my mind. You saying she has to defeat one without a weapon. She did. Even though she made the poison, the jedi master chose to kill himself with the poison presented. And since he chose that, he would have chosen any way he was provided. Which means she broke him. Without a weapon. Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
I think this video is a take that's WAY too early in the progress of the show for us to take seriously. We don't know ANYTHING about Mae's master and their identity goals or origins. It's too early to join any dots and assume anything.
They already fucked up canon. If its 100 years before the empire and you do the math we already know the 4-5 sith master and apprentice pairs for that 100 years. So if acolyte is canon the rule of 2 is broken at this point
This video reminds me of when I was in college and the Professor would always look for deep meaning into classical writers. A writer would say there is a white cup on a chair, and the professor would come up with some crazy interpretation about the spiritual purity of white and it being on a chair elevating it's status through higher level thinking or some bullshit. The writer just meant a white cup on a chair, but the professor being more creative and read than the writer of the time cannot fathom the writer just meant a white cup on the chair. This is just trash writing from people who do not believe in George Lucas's work, don't have a grasp of the lore (Anakin destroyed the death star). Sith just rolling through killing Jedi with no light sabers? Just a knife? That's comical. What's the point of having a light saber then if they can just kill Jedi without it? This show is a dumpster fire. Only a Sideous level Sith could hold his own without a light saber and this was an untrained apprentice. Get out of here. The writers were just bad.
Did you watch the same thing I watched. Jedi rules, not to light saber until your ready to kill, killing without a weapon is the goal, cause they don’t stand a chance with a weapon that’s the whole point of attacking without a weapon, but if she takes the saber they can’t use it against her. You normally on point this one is way off 😂 we can’t get them all 😂
*To* *The* *Critical* *Drinker* *&* *SW* *Theory* You’re still going to watch The Acolyte for the next 6 Tuesdays, Will Jordan and Niatoos Dadbeh. Will Jordan finished all of She-Hulk, didn’t he? And he saw all of Secret Invasion. And then watched Barbie on opening weekend like Ben Shapiro did. 🤣 Let’s say movie theaters completely die. Then movie studios stops making any more movies or rarely makes them. What will TCD mock then? The thing you mock is the thing you still need to create your content. What if Hollywood decided to make only TH-cam videos? You’re going to mock those videos then since movie and TV releases became scarce? Don’t worry, TCD. Good or bad, you’re still going to finish watching The Acolyte like you did for The Rings of Power S1. Then you will do the same for The Rings of Power S2 with Mary Sue Karen Galadriel. You will mock TRoP S2 early by late August once released but you will watch the entire season of that show. You need material for your comedy roast on anything that has “The Message”. I’ll say it again, I’m a Trumper or Trumpftard. I HATE LIBERALS. I HATE DEMOCRATS. I will vote for Trump again like I did 4 years ago. I don’t like this HollyWOKE shit either. But the anti-WOKE crowd are getting too overbearing themselves that it makes people hate content BEFORE even giving it a chance. I’m not trying to defend Disney here. I’m no Disney shill. I never said The Acolyte is any good. I just think both sides needs to CALM THE F**K DOWN. Two episodes and it’s already being judged? I didn’t like Andor’s first two episodes either and look how that turned out. If I recall, Andor released the first three episodes right away. This was on September 21, 2022. But since I used torrents, I only downloaded the first two. My mistake. Had I seen Ep 3, I would’ve never waited 8-9 months from finishing it. But it’s my own mistake for judging Andor so harshly after only two episodes. It wouldn’t have mattered if The Acolyte turned out amazing. The final 6 episodes will probably never change Will’s opinion but we know he’ll watch all of them. It’s insta-WOKE, so it will always be ridiculed. Will Jordan said he enjoyed Furiosa but it still flopped at the box office. Good or bad, nobody is really watching this nerd culture stuff these TH-camrs are talking about. I thought Barbie was lame and WOKE and that still made over $1.5B. I think Furiosa is good but it still flopped. Andor and Loki were good but they drew awful viewership. It really doesn’t matter if it’s good, bad, or WOKE. They can either flop or succeed regardless if they’re good, bad, or WOKE. *It* *doesn’t* *matter* *what* *side* *you’re* *on.* *If* *the* *content* *is* *trash,* *we* *all* *lose.* BTW, I’m a big fan of The Critical Drinker. Tyrone Magnus got me into TCD. But it’s very easy to predict what TCD will say. Almost redundant. These next 6 episodes will probably never change Will’s negative opinion on The Acolyte. Negativity is what draws his views. Not praises. And he will keep that same negative energy as it’s comedy material for his next video. I did rewatch some of The Acolyte yesterday and I do agree with a SW channel saying it doesn’t look as epic as it should be. You can see it in the trailers. Like it’s really made for TV. Yes, there are parts to it that are beautiful. Real locations. But rewatch the trailer and it looks like it has the same budget of what a more recent Star Trek series would have. Budget The Mandalorian per season (8 eps): $120M The Book of Boba Fett (7 eps): $105M Obi-Wan Kenobi (6 eps): $80M Andor (12 eps): $250M Ahsoka (8 eps): $100M The Acolyte (8 eps): $180M The Skeleton Crew reportedly has a budget of $136M. In comparison, House of the Dragon S1 was around $200M, $20M per episode. Not sure how much S2 will cost but if it’s still $20M per episode, it would put it at $160M since we’re getting only 8 episodes for Season 2. While The Rings of Power S1 had a budget of $462M. Andor might be the most expensive thanks to having the most episodes for one season, but it does look the part. They used real locations and used the least amount of The Volume. Episode 4 when we see Mon Mothma going to meet Luthen in Coruscant looked amazing. I think Andor gave us the best view around Coruscant since Attack of the Clones. I feel after rewatching The Acolyte, that it doesn’t look quite epic in scale. Maybe because we’ve been spoiled by Andor using real locations and not so reliant using Volume. Maybe we’ve been spoiled from the House of the Dragon S2 trailers where we see dragons flying over these beautiful locales. I think The Acolyte looks catered more for TV than something a big budget SW movie would bring us visually. I actually think The Acolyte has potential to still be awesome no matter how much hate and mockery it’s currently receiving from all these TH-camrs and for being the most *WOKE* and *gayest* SW project yet. I’m just not sure Leslye Headland can fully deliver on that potential since she’s no Tony Gilroy or Bryce Dallas Howard. Is Leslye more like Deborah Chow? I feel Ep 1 and 2 could’ve been far more engaging with a sense of urgency and raised stakes than what was shown. But they didn’t come off that way. They both ended abruptly with no “hook” to keep us engaged for that next episode. The next episode better be good because The Boys’ S4E1 comes out 2 days later. Then House of the Dragon S2 comes out 3 days after The Boys. These are already established shows with established and huge fanbases. Many of us are already quite invested with their characters while The Acolyte is completely new to many of us. Competition will only get tougher before The Acolyte’s Ep 4 comes out. Andor didn’t get going until Ep 3, so The Acolyte must do the same. It can’t afford another 7/10 “meh” episode on Tuesday. Back in 2022, Top Gun: Maverick, Stranger Things S4, and Obi-Wan Kenobi all came out on May 27. Then The Boys S3 came out a week later. Guess which one became the odd man out? Kenobi. It was being trashed while everyone was praising Top Gun 2, Stranger Things S4, and The Boys S3. The Acolyte does not want to be like that Obi-Wan series that’s getting swept under the rug and be completely forgotten. It needs to find a way to stand out and be far more engaging as it became an underdog from the get go. It better start getting very interesting by Episode 3 or viewers’ patience will run out and they will start to tune out to watch the other shows. I see the potential in The Acolyte. Finally, a story that’s not part of the Anakin Skywalker timeline set in the High Republic. That’s different. Then it involves a Sith or Siths in hiding that Jedis assumed went extinct. That’s another story angle live action Star Wars never fully explored. The potential for The Acolyte to be pretty awesome is there but could Leslye Headland’s writing take it there? I have my doubts.
The Stupendous Wave I did noticed that Mae try get jedi lightsaber and was confused why she left it because she still killed jedi so should earn blade so should took it then next step bleed but that before release that her trial might different then Vader in Comic so do agree that she killed Jedi with a weapon is one of the predictions made by her master but do believe that one exception to the rule is take jedi lightsaber killed with own weapons killed the dream but also play Darth Sidious said to Darth Vader the Sith use Lightsaber to mock the Jedi even though I think that came from a place of arrogance but can't imagine better ways to mock jedi by use The Jedi own lightsaber killed him or her it might one way killed but wouldn't take Jedi Lightsaber form them so one to killed Jedi with weapon but also must difficult opinion to do least that what think but might over think again 😅

@jameshurcombe2049 yeah but against a jedi as a dark side assassin using regular knives with regular metal doesn't seem smart, didn't even use vibroknives.
Qui-Gon would've been the father figure Anakin needed but didn't get from Obi-Wan, he would've denied Palpatine his lane into Anakin's personal life. Kenobi was fairly rigid in his adherence to Jedi doctrine, he cut off Satine despite his feelings, just as he was taught. Whenever Anakin chaffed under the rules, Kenobi would scold him and remind him of them. Qui-Gon on the other hand was a maverick, he followed what he saw as the will of the force first and Jedi rules second. He would've been much more understanding of Anakin's struggles, likely more observant of them and made more of an attempt to address them proactively rather than pretending as if he didn't notice their existence as Kenobi did. If Qui-Gon were still alive come RotS, I believe Anakin would've confided in him rather than Palpatine. He would've sought his counsel before Yoda's, and I believe Qui-Gon would've done anything and everything in his power, even if it meant being exiled himself from the order, to help Anakin. In this timeline, Kenobi is knighted and gets his own Padawan (not Ahsoka) and remains a distant, informal part of their informal Jedi tree, but Qui-Gon and his newly knighted Padawan Anakin go off on a quest for knowledge despite much agitation from the Jedi Council (on which Kenobi but not Jinn sits). The Jedi do not approve at all, but Jinn is willing to explore potentially unconventional force techniques to aid Anakin in his pursuit to save his love. After investigated some ancient Jedi ruins on Dantooine and even some Sith tombs on long dead worlds, they encounter... Count.. Dooku. 😡 Much as it was in AotC, the Count contrives a means to imprison the Jedi pair and does a similar song and dance playing the 'good cop' but Qui-Gon knows his old master well and can sense the darker strands ebbing inside him. Still though, he believes in the man he knew, and perhaps more importantly, believes he may be able to help in their search for forbidden knowledge to save Padme or at least further investigate Anakin's premonitions to get a better idea of what threat might come for her... This leads to Qui-Gon and Anakin taking up roles as pseudo generals in the CIS during the waning days of the Galactic Civil War... (To be continued. Maybe. If there's any demand for more of my spontaneous fanfic'ing. 😆)

He did push Mae to use the poison which seems to go against the Masters plan but he could have been intentionally tempting her to cheat.
Dang, I wonder if the merch store still exists? Now I’m finally craving some reasonably priced Star Wars gear.
Mae is the sith master. Osha is Mae.
Killing a Wookiee will be tricky. Especially since that Wookiee is a Jedi. She’ll have an even harder time trying to kill that Jedi because Wookiee’s are very strong
Wookie will be with their own weapon and Sol will be without a weapon.
Nice collection, Eric Prince.
I believe the acolyte is not actually Mae but whoever she’s serving like an acolyte to a Sith acolyte
Either that or the guy training Mae is just some fallen Jedi playing “Sith dress up”
Because correct me if I’m wrong, but the show is 100BBY and Darth Tenebrous and Darth Plagueis are the only two Sith and the guy training Mae definitely isn’t either of one them
Darth Zipperface is a mystery.....
It's gotta be tenebraih or Plagues.
Can't wait to see this new sith in action 😂
I feel like it should be a lot harder to kill a Jedi without a weapon and I kinda roll my eyes to this ideal because a Jedi is not just a common foot soldier.. It’s hard as hell to kill a Mandalorian without a weapon, let alone a Jedi… and how does killing a Jedi without a weapon show us how the Sith inflitrate the Republic in other ways outside of just Mortal Kombat? I thought that that this show was mainly about showing us the ground work on how the Sith became politicians, members with power within the Republic, and etc?…
Don't think about things.... just remember... it is CURRENT YEAR and GIRL BOSS takes care of things.
🤦♂️
Don't do it, man. You're going to ruin your reputation.
Calling it now, the sister(not Mae) will be the next sith
Wait a second. How is it key? SW completely changed the lore.
Plageious will clear that jedi mission force like its nothing. Its gonna be worse than in Chancellor office for jedi, lol.Only Yoda can fight him.
Nice.
It is CURRENT YEAR and lightsabers are never a problem for GIRL BOSS.
I think this video is a take that's WAY too early in the progress of the show for us to take seriously. We don't know ANYTHING about Mae's master and their identity goals or origins. It's too early to join any dots and assume anything.
Her skill is lacking as it seems she can't use force push or pull at will to great effect.
I honestly really liked Acolyte’s first two episodes, much to the contrary of other reviewers out there.
I hope I’m not the only one who thinks this.
They already fucked up canon. If its 100 years before the empire and you do the math we already know the 4-5 sith master and apprentice pairs for that 100 years. So if acolyte is canon the rule of 2 is broken at this point
I don’t think so, throughout canon several masters have had multiple apprentices
I wanna gouge my eyes out after watching episode 1.
This is disney content
Did you watch the same thing I watched. Jedi rules, not to light saber until your ready to kill, killing without a weapon is the goal, cause they don’t stand a chance with a weapon that’s the whole point of attacking without a weapon, but if she takes the saber they can’t use it against her. You normally on point this one is way off 😂 we can’t get them all 😂
Imo, provocation, but a test of skill makes sense as well
The star wars community is so toxic these days, too many daily wire and critical drinker subscribers
This show is very cool and intriguing. I hope a lot of the haters begin to give the show a chance as more episodes release.
Acolyte Episode 3 was amazing, can't wait for more

You’re still going to watch The Acolyte for the next 6 Tuesdays, Will Jordan and Niatoos Dadbeh. Will Jordan finished all of She-Hulk, didn’t he? And he saw all of Secret Invasion. And then watched Barbie on opening weekend like Ben Shapiro did. 🤣
Let’s say movie theaters completely die.
*It* *doesn’t* *matter* *what* *side* *you’re* *on.* *If* *the* *content* *is* *trash,* *we* *all* *lose.*
BTW, I’m a big fan of The Critical Drinker.
Budget
The Mandalorian per season (8 eps): $120M
The Book of Boba Fett (7 eps): $105M
Obi-Wan Kenobi (6 eps): $80M
Andor (12 eps): $250M
Ahsoka (8 eps): $100M
The Acolyte (8 eps): $180M
The Skeleton Crew reportedly has a budget of $136M.
I was gonna read this post but I have things to do next Tuesday so I doubt I'll have the time to finish it. 😆
Indara still has Trinity in her
The Wokalyte had to challenge her to take her trophy of Neo's balls that were removed in Matrix Resurrections.

@@bemeek Ah yes, space magic immaculate conception is SUCH peak writing.
@@Skiritai Anakin was conceived by the Force to be the all powerful savior of the galaxy and balance the binary Light/Dark nature of the Force and all of its users but was instead tricked into believing he could become the Force itself in order to create the life that the true Force breathed into him. You don’t need a lightsaber anymore you just need to use a knife 🔪 it’s stupid now
The fact that it's a regular knife too, not a knife with metal that can block a lightsaber.
What a pathetic comment.
@BSM-vw6cf that affects a injury inflicted in no way
@jameshurcombe2049 yeah but against a jedi as a dark side assassin using regular knives with regular metal doesn't seem smart, didn't even use vibroknives.
@BSM-vw6cf jedi only use lightsabers as a last resort therefore she wouldn't need it to be like beskgar she just needs to be fast & accurate

Day 511 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
Count.. Dooku. 😡
Much as it was in AotC, the Count contrives a means to imprison the Jedi pair and does a similar song and dance playing the 'good cop' but Qui-Gon knows his old master well and can sense the darker strands ebbing inside him.
