There is something that you have forgotten or missed:Jeen at some point had joined for a time the Dark Side cult named the Dark Force. The Dark Force had been founded by Darth Millennial, the former apprentice of Darth Cognus who had fled her and decided to create his own Dark Side cult based on his interpretation of the Dark Side and what the Sith should be because he didn't agree with the Rule of Two, also leading to the creation of another Dark Side cult named the Prophets of the Dark Side. This is most likely how Jeen found out about the Rule of Two, by finding and reading the books or holcrons in the Dark Force's possession that Darth Millennial had left after his death.
I figured Yoda is a old man who has fought the Sith before, perhaps several times before, and more than that a scholar who knew his history. I figured the Jedi didn't know anything about any "rule" of two, they just noticed Sith happened to come in master-apprentice pairs and concluded, based on experience, that they still had one more Sith to find.
Excellent Vid Stupendous, hope your having an awesome one and I have a new video idea. I saw your luke skywalker and count dooku video *great vid btw* and what luke thought of him, but the new video what would Dooku think of Luke Skywalkers new Jedi order, food for thought?
I'd think that during their era of staying in the shadows, the Sith would take advantage of any Dark Jedi to throw off the scent. It'd also serve as anti-propoganda about the Sith's continuing existance - just another Dark Jedi getting in over their head.
I'm more interested in a video of Anakin being trained by Dooku or Yoda. Or a video if the council, Mace in particular, had more understanding for Anakin.
This is extremely dark story. Very. Both Sith and Jedi made a mistake. They thought he was crazy. And he was but it was needed to be investigated. May the Force be with you too😊
In the books they explain the Jedi only theorized the rule of two. However for a while they had no concrete evidence that the Sith were in the shadows until Maul came into the fold. It was all intellectual guesswork for the order.
Yeah, I eas confused about this video for a bit. We know that the biggest hurdle in these tales is always Yoda; he's been around for SO long that so many Sith things NEED to have happened at least 1,000 years ago, or else the now wizened Grandmaster would remember them, but the Ro2 Sith, themselves, aren't much older than him, and obviously the Sith from before then wouldn't know, or else they would have foreseen the Thought Bomb, and possibly survived, alongside, but separate from, Darth Bane. It does seem odd, too me, that a Brotherhood of Darkness Sith fortress would actually lead anyone to the Ro2 Sith; I'm not sure how much support the Dark Side, or the spirit remnants of those old villains, gave the followers of Bane's creed, but we know that they didn't like Plagueis, and since he's very much like the scientific, analytical Tenebrous, I'm not sure how much they favored him, or his nameless Master, either, so I guess it's convenient that so much of this era of Sith history is unrecorded. 😊 I almost feel like it could have been the will of some Sith spectre to do this specifically to BREAK the Rule of Two, and try to bring the Sith back to a larger, more visible, faction. If so, then maybe Darth Blank and Darth Tenebrous did a better job misdirecting, since they did remain hidden.
Problems with the Bane trilogy. Its not Disney canon, .. its the legend EU. Other remarks by the writers of Bane trilogy. The Sith pulled many of their Force users from Hutt space, when they got tired of the Brotherhood of Darkness fallen Jedi politics, they just left and went back to smuggling and acting as con men. By the third book, Bane ended up meeting some of his old crew unit combat team members who were happy he survives the war but unaware he is a Sith lord. Bane weight it if he should make them disappear to keep his secret from the Jedi or not. Then at a high-class party of the movers and shakers rebuilding after the war. He meets a few of the same people that shown up at the Sith Lords training temple compared to the assassins, diplomates/con men, or marauders. These were the older Sith lords/ businesspeople who the Jedi didn't know about. In short there are bloodline Sith clans that live as smugglers in Hutt space. That make sure with a wave of the hand, " The Sith or no more, The Sith are now only a legend or myth to frighten young children to stay in their beds at night."
It is often said that the simplest solution is also the usually the correct one. Darth Riven could have just spoke of the rule of 2 in his audio biography written on the walls and in doing so the apprentice in his insanity just made the long dead Riven his "master"
It's one thing about the Sith, that dark magic pervades it. The Sith have no idea if their Master or Acolyte is for real, or under a spell or mentally and emotionally unstable or what.. The Jedi other than their dogmatic views, not so much.
Another great story, that will likely not be incorporated into Canon. I personally think that's one of the themes The Acholyte is going to have. Rather it be the duel from the trailer where a bunch of Jedi die by the hands of likely either Tenebrus or Plageis, and one of them lives long enough to say something that was said or recorded before dying. Then Yoda and select council members keep it to themselves for a solid century, before Maul reveals himself. That's my 🪙🪙
You this is the second time the Sith pulled this stunt to throw the Jedi council off. The first was with Bane and Zannah, when she mad that Doctor go mad, having the Jefi kill him thinking they finally stopped the Sith spread.
Figured yoda would've been around for that. If it's only 188 years BBY. Maybe not at that battle or on that mission. But he would've been a master at that point and privy to that knowledge.
Wow - I’ve been needing this since 1999 lol! I can accept either your interpretation or @mayeuldelaunay4058’s. Remember: Every Star Wars pixel is sacred. Honestly, part of the fun of Star Wars is retconning every plot hole, and giving every background character a backstory. You’re a master, and I love your holocrons.
Interesting. But my question would be, if the the dark Jedi was mad when he was found by the order, why would they give credence to his ramblings about the Rule of Two?
There is a hole in your theory. If Jeen died only saying the Rule of Two, then how did Yoda know that Darth Bane created it? That is something that @mayeuldelaunay4058's addition helps address. That the lore of the Rule of Two and its creator was held by other Dark Siders. That gives the Jedi access to the lore of the Rule of Two and its creator at least. Other than that? Very good video/theory.
Would of been interesting to see what they have to say about all these darkside force users during the clone wars not declaring themselves to be sith then boom darth vader and sideous appears
Jedi get more worse every time I see a vid they talk about fear leading to the dark side but when a sith word comes out they ignore it they are full of crap they couldn’t even save themselves let alone the republic

Nobody:
Every reporter in 2015: "So, this company went out of business and it's all Darth Millennial's fault."
“From henceforth you shall be known as Darth… Gene”.
I read this and all I saw was Gene from TWD in a robe with a red saber just telling everyone he’s on a very important mission to save humanity
Happy Friday everyone.
😮😮😮 ok
Yuh
Happy Friday homie
Take care guys
It's sunday
Yeah, I was wondering about this for years. It makes sense.

I figured the Jedi didn't know anything about any "rule" of two, they just noticed Sith happened to come in master-apprentice pairs and concluded, based on experience, that they still had one more Sith to find.
This was very interesting. I always thought about how Yoda had known. I'm sure to add your theory to my head-canon. May the force be with you all.
Awesome video!
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS
ITS UNFAIR!

Day 504 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
If he wanted to do a part 3, he would've done it already
I'm more interested in a video of Anakin being trained by Dooku or Yoda.
Or a video if the council, Mace in particular, had more understanding for Anakin.
I assumed Rivan extrapolated the rule of 2 from an artifact he found of Revans, just as bane did, but this theory makes more sense.
10:34 I wouldn't be surprised...

I always wondered how they knew of the rule of two. Thanks for telling me how the Jedi found out about this

Never put too much thought into it. Though I'd just assumed yoda knows a thing or two
It is often said that the simplest solution is also the usually the correct one. Darth Riven could have just spoke of the rule of 2 in his audio biography written on the walls and in doing so the apprentice in his insanity just made the long dead Riven his "master"
Star Wars needs a Mood Sabre. It changes colors like a mood Ring.
DOG THAT COULD B AWESOME !
[NOT YELLiNG, JUZT LiKE TYPiNG iN CAPZ]
Maybe it could change colors depending on which gender you feel like today? 😆
It's one thing about the Sith, that dark magic pervades it. The Sith have no idea if their Master or Acolyte is for real, or under a spell or mentally and emotionally unstable or what.. The Jedi other than their dogmatic views, not so much.

This is what I imagine the acolyte might be like
Hype!

Where was the source for this story again?
It’s a mind blowing one that I had never heard of before. :O
Tell us what is in the almus temple please, it sounds like a great video will happen when that video comes out, I can sense it.
Fascinating

All I know is my gut says maybe.
Wow why don’t the Mandalorians go there ? Enough Beskar to equip an army
Darth Star Trek 😂
The dark Jedi named Jean? Similar to Darth Gean? Is this from Disney lore or EU?
...impressive.🗡🧛
Title should be “how,” not “why.”
Is there a video that talks about the sith “supposedly” going extinct before palpatine like who got rid of the siths?
Bane got rid of the sith.
Beskar’Gam.
Would of been interesting to see what they have to say about all these darkside force users during the clone wars not declaring themselves to be sith then boom darth vader and sideous appears
Why the sith accidently revealed the rule of 2...
Wouldnt this be *how* the sith accidently revealed the rule of 2....?
Is this canon or legends, and what are the sources
EU there's no such of thing as "legends"
The sources from what I’ve found are from the Darth Plagueis novel and Living Force role-playing game. Legends continuity basically.
This could’ve been a great way for “The Acolyte” show to go but instead it sucks lol
Jedi get more worse every time I see a vid they talk about fear leading to the dark side but when a sith word comes out they ignore it they are full of crap they couldn’t even save themselves let alone the republic
I think the Theory is defenitly Plausible
Tehe penetrate
F
First
Whatever the case, they DEFINITELY didn't "forget" about it... Yoda an Mace LITERALLY brought it up in meeting in the Prequels.
