Good changes, not surprised with any of them, happy with all them but sad about Martin cunners and marchy because it wasn't their ability it was their body that let them down, but we can't keep carrying the wounded.
Thanks to all of em and wish them well in future but also very glad to see the club start getting rid of these injury prone guys and the other 2 were project players that just didn't work Cmon down Dan Houston, Really hope the club can get that done Go Blues
As sad as I am to see my man Dave Cunningham delisted, I think it’s ultimately a great sign for the club to finally be taking on some more ruthless calls. We have enough depth in our squad to not rely on players we know won’t play 20+ games. Continuity, connection and consistency go hand in hand, and we only had a handful of players who could manage a full season in 2024. There are more fish in the sea just as there are many talented footballers around, hopefully we can invest time in some as talented as the guys we delisted who will be more consistently healthy.
Unfortunately, when your body keeps failing and you are never able to show your best over a long period, you have to let them go. They all should be proud that they were able to wear the Navy blue. Thankyou so much for your service, all the best in your future lives. Always welcome at the Blues. Cheers Jeff
Well done boys and thanks for your service. Marchy was one of my favourite players such a shame his body couldn’t hold up, but glad this club is growing up and finally realising that we can’t keep doing this with injuried players.
From a purely business perspective 50 odd games over 8-9 seasons is just a horrible return on investment. Probably should have moved them on a bit earlier in hindsight, I hope the club learns a bit from this.
Good summation Terry. This was the obvious call for the 3 senior listed players. Marchy and Cunners seemed to fall behind skills wise this season too. I don’t think any other team would have traded for any of them unfortunately. Best of luck to all 5, and I really enjoyed watching the 3 that played seniors
Correct decisions made. Interesting how the reports of Martin passing fitness tests at Freo and yet we delist him ? Anyway you would assume that the club was not getting anything their.
Speaks volumes that Marchbank, Martin and Cunningham probably had there collective best injury free stretch at the back of 2023, the year we make a prelim..
No surprises there, but i am surprised they kept Sam Durdin,I hope he can improve next year if we need to play him, still a watch next year on Cerra and Williams, hopefully they can get on the park more consistently because we’re definitely a better team with them in it
It’s the right call. We all know they have talent but if you can’t get your body right, year after year, then you have to accept that you’re time is up. We can’t keep them all. Let’s just hope we have better player management and high performance this year coming. So we don’t have so many players (same players) injured each year.
You will regret that comment in a couple of years, he has had games where he looks to be just about to break the game open. He has a big upside and he is only 20 years old, I would delist Durdin before I'd delist him.
Possum! You need a good spanking for that comment. He has shown signs of greatness. Let’s give him another season. Then if nothing changes you can smack me! Fair is fair!
Had to be done by nick Austin. Very u fortunate especially with marchy and cunnersone I jury after another both very unlucky. Same goes with jack and Alex.best of luck to all the fellas. Dadada
We’ve given them all a fair go it’s not personal but at Carlton we can’t carry anyone regardless of talent and potential. Wish them all the best we had some good times..
All good with these 5 players being delisted, but I hope we find a smarter way to play going forward, that will be conducive to the ultimate success, without our players getting injuries that possibly can be avoided. And I don't mean that we should be softer in the contested ball, but we should be smarter, and better with our ball use and skills, once we get the ball to the outside of congestion, into free, and open space. I hope that we track in this direction ,to seek permanent, consistent improvements, with an increase in winning games. Especially games that really matter, at critical times during a long season.
They are very unsurprising. I understand Jack Martin but would still have like him on the list just in case he got his body right. He is the class act of that group.
Can we say we won the Yarran trade now? since Yarran only lasted like a year on our list yet Cunningham clogged Carlton's list for 9 years with 50+ games...
About time we stop wasting money and list spots on players who can't get on the park. The correct decision maybe akuei should have been given a game at some point
List management and recruiters really need to step up their game. Were still that club that pray and hope players become any good and they end up being mediocre at best or can’t stay fit. We’re sick of it! No disrespect to Dom but why was he even picked up in the first place and same goes for mirkov. Waste of time it seems, no? This type of stuff needs to stop if we ever want to be any good on a consistent basis.
They were both project players. That's what the category b rookie spots are there for. Owies was one that worked. These were 2 that didn't. We'll pick up another one or 2 going forward and see what happens. Project players are purely speculative. Every club has them.
@@SJG321 that’s all good and well but we seem to get it wrong more than right year after year. I also feel like we’re always trying to land that one “big fish” and pay them out the ass as if they’re going to magically turn our club around. Maybe just get blokes who can execute basic skills and have a real crack!
I agree; just as a back up medium -tall defender. Might be in the VFL half the year, but half decent player who can come in if needed... And the way our injury management goes?!
Maybe delist Voss . We need someone that plays his players to their advantages like freeing up Saad . Opening up the forward for curnow . And stop with the territory game it’s ruining players skills. Also a transition game for Christ sakes . Carlton have always sort of played like this and I think it’s time for a new intelligent way of playing .
Is a good comment, Saad has regressed a bit.. But I'd keep Voss a year or two.. I would move on most of those assistant coaches, get a fresh batch of support in....
Disappointed Mirkov got delisted as he should’ve got a chance round 19 onwards …remember Vossy played at Brisbane for ten years before he won a flag…it doesn’t just magically happen…the long game..look at any dynasty
There was really so little interest in Martin we're letting him walk for nothing? Get nothing back in return for all that investment? Hmm. As for the rest, Akue is a development conundrum. I've always been less enamored than most with Cunningham and Marchbank. But did Marchbank miss any more than a single game this year with soft issue stuff? He missed a lot of games because Jordan Boyd sat on his head and broke his back, then after what I thought was a reasonable stint in the reserves missed a few more with concussion problems. Have to wonder if his story isn't different if not for that unfortunate accident early on. Cunningham, though, just can't be an investment any longer. He did come back pretty well for a while last year as you say, but clearly faded out later. I guess he's had basically no pre-season for two or three years running. So that means another year where he has to build up his stamina before he's really useful for most of a full season, while still worrying about more soft tissue stuff. Unfortunate that he didn't even get a chance to play out this season after Rioli's thug act. With O'Keefe coming back, and plenty of ruck options at senior level already, I guess Mirkov is surplus to requirements at this point. It's a lot of open slots now, so do they fill up with another batch of prospects or what?
We need to get rid of Voss , it's obvious he over thinks things , Voss alienates people inadvertently clearly but , we are a joke , A number of players have reason to scratch their head , I hope Voss Goes , see after that , but as sure as God made little green apples Voss must go ,

Thank you for your service to Carlton. We wish all of you well in your future endeavours.
Had to be done 😢 Thankyou to all of them 💙
Good changes, not surprised with any of them, happy with all them but sad about Martin cunners and marchy because it wasn't their ability it was their body that let them down, but we can't keep carrying the wounded.
All the best and Thankyou for your service , but it was time 💙

Most important ability is availability. Feel sad for them. Would have loved to see them at their best on the footy field. All the best to them.
Well done boys and thanks for your service. Marchy was one of my favourite players such a shame his body couldn’t hold up, but glad this club is growing up and finally realising that we can’t keep doing this with injuried players.

Had to be done and that’s how our club can get new recruits in. Wish em’ all the best and thanks for your service. Go the blues
Keen to hear your Owies thoughts Terry. I will be devastated if we don't give him another contract.
You have a really smooth voice.
Good summation Terry. This was the obvious call for the 3 senior listed players. Marchy and Cunners seemed to fall behind skills wise this season too. No surprises there..thanks for your service boys
Thankyou boys for your service at our club 🤝🫡
But please I cannot stress enough the club cannot let Matthew Owies and Jack Carroll go!
No surprises there, but i am surprised they kept Sam Durdin,I hope he can improve next year if we need to play him, still a watch next year on Cerra and Williams, hopefully they can get on the park more consistently because we’re definitely a better team with them in it
more may go, including Sam Durdin🤷♂️ It could be the first wave of delistings, as it depends who we pick up?!🤔
Necessary. Thanks for their efforts. Time for all of us to move on.
No surprises. Had to happen. All the best to the 5 of them 💙
I agree with all those decisions. Well done CFC.!
Martin and Marchy are particularly sad. Great players, just couldn’t stay fit.
It’s the right call. We all know they have talent but if you can’t get your body right, year after year, then you have to accept that you’re time is up. We can’t keep them all.
Let’s just hope we have better player management and high performance this year coming. So we don’t have so many players (same players) injured each year.
When it's time to go it's time to go!!! Gonna miss #THECUNNERSEFFECT though...on to bigger and better things UTFB2025💙💙💙
Says a story that Cunningham, Marchbank & Martin all played the same amount of game give or take. Very similar stories
Next we need to put Fantasia, Cerra, Motlop and Silvagni under the microscope. Doc is a hard one but he has to be a consideration as well.
The only one I'd be keeping there is Silvagni . Doc into an off field mentoring or coaching role . The rest can go .
Good decisions (if not overdue) by our club
Should of added Motlop to that list
You will regret that comment in a couple of years, he has had games where he looks to be just about to break the game open. He has a big upside and he is only 20 years old, I would delist Durdin before I'd delist him.
@@iankearns774 no chance.

Wow I cant believe they have delisted Jack Martin
What, so we can get two games a year out of him, if we're lucky!
Had to be done by nick Austin. Very u fortunate especially with marchy and cunnersone I jury after another both very unlucky. Same goes with jack and Alex.best of luck to all the fellas. Dadada
Not before time best of luck boys
Necessary changes. Surprised Sam Durdin didn’t follow suit given his injury woes. Maybe they are waiting to see what happens at trade period?
There are still more List Cloggers / DeadWood on the list. Hopefully this is just the start!!
Correct delistings. Too injury prone or just not good enough.
We’ve given them all a fair go it’s not personal but at Carlton we can’t carry anyone regardless of talent and potential. Wish them all the best we had some good times..

Surprise Sam Durdin not on list
Big. Bound to happen.
The 10 year rebuild has started
still reeling from Plowman
These are great changes gives us the room we need for the list and we signed owies for 2 years
Finally
Hey Tez
Why isn’t Fantasia delsited 😮
I think he’s contracted till 2025 but take that with a grain of salt.
Contracted
Face saver. Contracted.
cos he's been consistently fit and a great fallback if we have injuries.

Obvious but good calls
Had to be done
Why couldn’t Martin be traded?
That's harsh on cunningham
Now there are 3 more non performing players to move on, but that wont happen so more of the same for next year. Watch this space.

I just hope jack dose not end up at freo we have enough of older player comming over and breaking down
So does Jack Martin just get delisted and goes to another club for nothing? Or is he still going to be traded
Jack Martin worth nothing he can't get on the park
Wouldn't lose any sleep on Martin the spud dude 😊
If he's delisted by us , we get nothing , he's free to move .
No surprises really, footy's a hard game on and off field unfortunately for them they crossed that irretrievable line.
What about fantasia he should be first one out t door.
Absolutely terrible
No chance of a cup for 5 years alteast if not more . Zero heart
Getting rid of Jack Carroll will be a mistake.
Fantasia should be gone too
Contracted for 2025
We need to get rid of Voss , it's obvious he over thinks things , Voss alienates people inadvertently clearly but , we are a joke , A number of players have reason to scratch their head , I hope Voss Goes , see after that , but as sure as God made little green apples Voss must go ,
Who cares
Should of trades Martin I know we wouldn't get much but might as well try get something. I probably would of kept Dom he looked ok
Get em gone bye bye
