Well, actually, this game isn't sotn's predecessor, but a port of the real one for snes, the game that comes before sotn is castlevania rondo of blood, not dracula x. You probably already know by now, but still
@artman40 He's not saying this game has the fastest movement method. He's saying the method used to move the fastest in this game just so happens to be the coolest. In other words, none of the others are quite so stylish.
Great job man, your comments about the improvements were cool to read. One question: Wouldn't be possible by any means to abuse damage like you did a lot in this run to get to the second floor of the area at 6:10 -> 6:40?
Press B Button twice on the SNES Controller to perform a backflip. It allows you to dodge sneaky front attacks from enemies. Also helps a little in platforming if timed just right.
Jesus fucking Christ almighty, *THAT'S* how you save Annette on the SNES version? How the fuck are you supposed to figure out to break that wall so the water drains and you FUCKING GO LEFT *ON A GAME WHERE YOU MUST GO TO THE RIGHT 99% OF THE TIME?*
"The count grows stronger by the minute!"
"He's only got a Minute, Annette."
"But be very careful; the count grows more powerful by the minute!"
"oh d/w I don't think he has a lot of those left lmaooooo"
"WHAAAAAAAAAT!!!???"
-Richter, proving that Key is best sub-weapon
Drácula: What is a m...Aaaah!
Richter: There is no time, have at you.
Richard have perfomance the breakdance with Backflip xD
ridiculeando Richter :v
Richard
No puedo creer haberte encontrado aqui jajajaja.
"The count grows stronger by each minute"
*Dracula presents himself as Speedo wearing demon*
Looks like Annet was trapped underwater.
And then Richter just showed up and left her there.
He's got important back flipping to do
8:40 Moonwalk xD
*tries to use the sub item super while holding the Key*
"WWWHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTT????"
That richter wasn't gonna wait until night. Just awesome.
What is a man?!
A miserable little pile of back flips and damage boosts!
But enough jumps! Have at you!!!
This is soo underrated
The start screen sounds like a dude laughing as he rips a loud one.
This game is hard as balls.
The last boss is nearly impossible. The rest of the game is actually very good.
Seeing Richter like this and then his movement in SotN makes me think he did fifty eight lines of coke between games.
Man, you're amazing.
Where tf did Maria go lmao?
Richter was so ahead of schedule he got there before her
Gotta give the game props for the visuals, love the comic book look
I love Maria's line: Richter, thank you for saving me, but Annette is in another castle... err, "place". Well... she almost said that, jajaja
*laughs in Spanish*
Mario, Maria, same thing.
I love how SOTN basically ripped sprites from its predecessor! At least they improved the backgrounds and made Alucard look AWESOME.
Well, actually, this game isn't sotn's predecessor, but a port of the real one for snes, the game that comes before sotn is castlevania rondo of blood, not dracula x. You probably already know by now, but still
8:40 Hell yeah, Richter's moonwalking!
Jesus Christ, that is insane! Unbelievable respect, and I particularly enjoyed the hilarious positive feedback from the others.
The grim reaper didn't get to show off his array of unfair moves, love it.
Parkourvania
It's My imagination or this Game soundtrack is so freaking cool
8:40 - "Cause this is thriller, thriller night"
Bunnyhoping?
Pff screw that, Richter has the BACKFLIP HOP.
I played the whole game without knowing you could backflip because the window for it is so small, I just thought they took it out of this version.
@artman40 He's not saying this game has the fastest movement method. He's saying the method used to move the fastest in this game just so happens to be the coolest. In other words, none of the others are quite so stylish.
Finally I found out what's the problem with that game, I don't see IGA on the credits.
props to this game for coolest fastest movement method :3
@Amanimi Albus, Alucard, Soma, Maxim and others want to have a word with you.
Like all things in life victory can be achieved by doing backflips and moonwalking.
Thanks for saving Richter... But Annet is in another castle.
Richter: FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
backflip to victory
Browsignal Backflip FTW
like a ninja
13:47 for an average episode of Johnny Test
Richter the entire video:
*DO A FLIP*
Please excuse me as I kill shit with this key.
Against dead Richter is like Simba: laughing in the dangerous face!
Moonwalk
The game.
WHAAAAAAAAAAT
Richter you need to get up early for work! "WHAAAAAATT"
The best end :)
when ritcher take a hit, i feel like he is vomiting,.....well i understand why with all these backflip
Ok so I just started playing castlevania and I still don’t know how to somersault backwards. Can someone explain to me how to do it.
Press Jump button two times very fast.
Jaylen Mosner Thx M8
So in this Castlevania game, the reverse somersault with backwards kneeslide is the fastest common way to get around.
4:45 - Level design?
Great job man, your comments about the improvements were cool to read. One question: Wouldn't be possible by any means to abuse damage like you did a lot in this run to get to the second floor of the area at 6:10 -> 6:40?
@GoddessMaria Thanks!
Most normal vampire hunters try to see where they're going. Richter clearly doesn't give a fuck.
Didn't even know he could do flips, fml. I'll try it again then!
Ah, thanks!
Wait, how do you backflip? I've beaten this game more than a few times and I've NEVER known that there was a way to backflip!
Press B Button twice on the SNES Controller to perform a backflip. It allows you to dodge sneaky front attacks from enemies. Also helps a little in platforming if timed just right.
It would have been faster at the title screen if you played with the Japanese version
5:17 ❓
Jeez, Richter... I know everyone is flipping out over Dracula, but do you really have to take it so literally?
Jesus fucking Christ almighty, *THAT'S* how you save Annette on the SNES version? How the fuck are you supposed to figure out to break that wall so the water drains and you FUCKING GO LEFT *ON A GAME WHERE YOU MUST GO TO THE RIGHT 99% OF THE TIME?*
sympa, bon jeu
Do the items on the "Stage Clear" screen mean anything?
Those are the passwords for the next stage, back before videogames had to save game progress using passwords.
Richter: so i did a backflip ,snap the bad guy neck and save the day!
No Guns no swords the key is the best weapon ever!
How did you moonwalk?
14:00 is the real time
O clássico glitch dos 3:00
Richter is the strongest Belmont ever! He doesn't need to look foward to reach Dracula's Castle!
vc é showwwwww!!!!!!!!!!
TAS e um tipo de hack ;-;
...Where's Maria?
Every Dracula battle has to be that easy and cheap?
And now, without TAS! ;D
why maria is disappear?
emulator bad frame rate :P

Nothing compares to SCIV

All the Castlevania games that came after took a piece of SCIV

TAS e um tipo de hack ;-;
