    Hello, thank you for this video wich is great as everytime.
    After one year of use, what do you think about this item ? Do you plan to make a new video about your experience with this product ?
    I realy need a reverse cam and I already select some models but the option to combine a cam and a stereo/ handfree phone/ usb plug is prety interesting.

      It's a nice product but not convenient to use because the touch screen is small and you need to be right in front to see what's on it. A little dangerous if you don't have co-driver to manage music & all while driving.

    Bonjour pourriez vous mettre en commentaire le modèle de radio et speakers installés svp ?Le modèle est peu profond et c est ce que je cherche. Merci

      "The ride side of life" nous l'a envoyé pour le tester donc je ne connais pas le modèle. Le micro est intégré et la radio est branchée sur les hauts parleurs d'origine.

    Got mine installed yesterday, can hardly see anything off the screen when you looking at it on an angle. Has to look at it right in the front of screen to be able to see anything , imagine doing that while reversing to park.

      After a few months of use I can say it's a good radio that can endure 4x4 shaking. We haven't really used the rear camera option but yes I confirm that the screen isn't good to look at if not right in front, even for choosing music on a playlist.

    I did the same conversion with my Puma, but opted for a double DIN stereo. A more involved install and you have to buy a new fascia front panel (www.mudstuff.co.uk/collections/interior-accessories/products/defender-puma-double-din-replacement-fascia), but does mean that you can have a more modern head unit with apple car play etc. I take it that you did not need this functionality?

    • @offtrackfamily
      @offtrackfamily  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing what you installed. No we don't need this functionality ;)

    Was that simple to install?

    • @offtrackfamily
      @offtrackfamily  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on what you already have as connections. We kept our old radio wiring and only added the camera on the already existing rear lights wiring. If you don't already have an install might take a little longer ;)

    absolutely rubbish! go for land rover classic infotainment system instead. navi, hands free, DAB radio and much more...no camera but you may buy one any back mirror kit rather than this crap.

      😄 After using it for more than a year you can guess we're changing it for a regular JVC one. It does handle well the offroad and sits nice on the dashboard imo but the screen view & touch screen are total crap and not easily usable while driving.
