i have some info about Sohyang...She born April 5 1978 in South Korea her genre is gospel but she has experiments whith other genre of music.Her vocal coatch is Seth Riggs and she taken only 5 lessons from him.. Her range is almost 4 octave she say that .In personal life is merry a list 20 year and is cancer survivor. She is a extraodinary master of singing she is professor of music in Korean university and she has her own Music scholl For my personal opinion she is one of the best singer from this generation. To me, high notes are not always great esp if it is done to show off, rather than it is needed in the song. The flow of the song can be greatly affected. Just like whistle, it sounded impressive (I was in awe the first time I heard it) but in most instances, it stopped the flow of the song. Why whistle when a musical instrument can do that job? No instrument can produce a human singing voice though. In SoHyang's case, her high notes always give you chills. Her cover songs are always rearrange (post 2012) to suit her range. One must listen to her songs in full to fully appreciate the true beauty of those high notes.

Sohyang is the best gospel singer and performer. On the other hand, I think she can not be the greatest singer of the popular music. She has been singing with church band vocals for about 30 years. Song to her is only a means to comfort a person. So it was not long before she became famous in Korea. She could not have a child due to uterine cancer surgery and had an unhealthy lung. She has a talent for composing, arranging and singing, but her dream is to succeed as a novelist. lol
