Hi all: Let me know what do you think of Loop? + next: checkout my Productivity 101 video next for more ways to get organised! 🎉✔th-cam.com/video/VCBEmjJXnWw/w-d-xo.html
just disgusted by Microsoft openly stealing years of Notion's team's hard work, calling it their own and still not even being able to make a decent product out of it
We've seen loop task lists appear within Planner but they're more like ad-hoc plans with only one 'bucket' and there are weird bugs when trying to use that loop list like it's a full Plan. Would love to see loop workspaces integrated with Planner directly so that each Plan has its own workspace to store project info. Really like the way loop constrains your presentation to keep everything very clean
I’ve actually been attempting to use loop at work since we can’t use notion at my current work place (firewalls and all that) I have found that loop is lacking some major things that OneNote has. So it can’t replace OneNote. And it doesn’t have relational databases, just simple tables. So it’s pretty limited right now. Hope it improves
Yes - they will never intend it to replace one note - but I’d think once components and connections between them improve - we could see a combination being fab
@@BetterCreating if they do replace OneNote it will be a very long road to get there. Especially since the Education space use it so heavily. OneNote is awesome and much underrated or even ignored by many. If I had to pick on feature of OneNote it is simply this. When you put an image in it stays there where you put it unlike word. :)
Biggest problem facing loop is not the app / components functionality. It's the lack of admin and Governance tools. Also a yet unannounced pricing potentially for storage of workspaces though information on that is sketchy. Many orgs won't let it loose until these issues are cleared up. Workspaces have the potential to become sprawl 3.0 after SharePoint and then Teams. With no admin, compliance or Governance tools this could go bad very quickly.
Yes interesting to read - I’m sure that’s what orgs need before committing to using it. I personally would hope all this would get clearer once Microsoft move it from preview to general availability. 🤞
Their current focus seems to be on the note-taking aspect to compete with Notion, instead of trying to compete with enterprise-friendly options Confluence. if they are able to come up with administrative tools, I would be all for using this at my company.
Maybe I missed this, but where are they with implenting databases? I'm a big fan of the Microsoft ecosystem, but databases are essential if I am to begin investing time in Loop and migrate from Notion.
I’m certainly interested in the same - perhaps what we will see is better integrations with other MS apps to enable similar functionality, or maybe we will see them go further in that direction: it’s a watch this space for now I guess! :)
I'm subscribing to hopefully see this 🙏 I was about to start learning Notion back when Loop came out in preview and I'm trying to hold out and use it for second brain in conjunction with sharepoint sites.
@@StephanieIsmail I used Notion for several years, but I made the switch to OneNote last year. Notion is undoubtedly a great versatile platform, offering an all-in-one solution. However, my primary issue with Notion is that it often leads to time wasted on reorganizing tasks rather than accomplishing them. Additionally, since I'm already integrated into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, using OneNote is a significant advantage for me. While I haven't fully got into Loop, it appears to have the potential to help you build a second brain with it.
Loop is interesting and has a lot of potential for me . I would like to have a Loop page as a Project Report for a construction project but I cannot find a hack or way to print the page to pdf and share with Clients. Do you know if Microsoft has a printing or export option on the horizon ?
Thanks for your video. 3:24 Q: How can I connect Tasks within a Loop Project with the Follow-up Tasks I made in a related meeting? Right now Teams is creating an additional plan in Planner. 🤔
3:05 My link previews to internal pages don't look like that at all. They're huge ugly blocks that take up the entire width of the page and show a long ugly url. edit: Apparently that's because I was creating a link on a line with no other text

I think it's weird that Loop is able to integrate with Jira before it can integrated to MS Projects in 365 suites 😂😂😂😂

OneNote is getting support for loop components by the end of the year to get the best of both worlds. Well some of it anyway.

I love it and am finding out more about its functionality each day
I'd love to see a detailed video on how to use Loop as a second brain. Thank you for your content.
It’s in the plans! Just waiting for the right updates to start looking at this! :)

@@BetterCreating we should get more info at Ignite in November I'm told.
highly likely!

It’s very limited, what I do is link an MS List file to loop

I do use it at work. I’ve been trying to build it into my workflow. It still needs some more to be a real notion competitor but it’s getting there.
Agreed!
I am interested to see how we implement a second brain into loop
Yeah - I’m looking at the possibilities over the next months- it’s an interesting experiment! 🙃

If the loop component is hosted on SharePoint, is it searchable using keywords? I'm thinking of setting up a knowledge base using loop component.

Hey - got a question - how can I change language on loop app?
How about liking with planner? The same way you can wil Trello and Jira
Yes - it’s already there: point 2 I think?! Planner integration is native now.
Databases and excel tables integration
Can't integrate loop with ms project for web?
at 2:01 "simons life" is that a loop view or is it notion? doesn't seem to be an option for several columns in loop yet...?
No that’s the reference to my Notion life OS - not quite there yet in Loop! :)

🙏Btw@@BetterCreating do you know a way to put images side by side or if you can insert images in the table?
