Neat stove for sure !!! I've laid the cans on their side and cut out the top and made a pretty neat parts cleaning pan out of them.. The spout makes them easy to empty when your done too

The stove is mint Steve. Looks like it has a built in cleaning jet needle. When you turn the stove up to full it cuts off. That's the needle cleaning the jet. Have a great Sunday.
I did not know that DAZ , I really appreciate it. I will read up on this stove. One of the things that it doesn't have in the kit is the directions. HAAHAAAA
@@doinsngoins That's ok Steve. If you just take the jet out you will see the built in jet needle cleaner. Or you could leave the jet in and use a magnification lens, and you will see the needle coming through the jet to clean it.
Love stoves like that. There's something about having a "kit" that comes in a big container that I just enjoy. For your drawer, I would suggest taking a few more minutes to make it 'proper' by folding over the edge, maybe even adding a wire rim for strength. It might be the tinkerer in my blood, but just a raw cut is kind of disappointing when there's so much potential for more. The old timers would save cans like that and use them for all manner of projects around the home and shop. A little work with some tin snips and solder, and you can have your own funnels, bins, priming cans, and anything else you can imagine. There's nothing quite so nice as using things you've made with your own two hands, and it's a skill that'll take you back in time as you imagine how our ancestors would have made all sorts of things from the scrap they had available.

In description I touch on this , I probably should've showed that in the video , I have knocked off all of the unsafe surfaces and and re profiles the edge on side grinder , sander , wire wheel . I mase sure that there was no cutting surface. It works for me maybe it'll work for others and if somebody else wants to spend the the on it it will be better by far as you suggest. I will assure you over my end product is safe.
@@doinsngoins My point wasn't so much about the safety, but of simply taking the craftsmanship to the next level. Working with sheet metal is very fun, especially when it's a simple project you can have done in a few minutes using only simple tools. In the end, it all works out and I'm sure your bin will come in very handy. That's what matters!
Steve is the kind of guy, that, his neighbor walks into the shop, and says, Steve do you have … and Steve says, yes I have that ! I have one of everything, some things I have two or three of !!😂
It's a really cool thing that I picked up at the swap. Meet a couple of months ago. It is a cast iron trivet that you would normally just set on the table so that your hot Pan wouldn't burn the table. That kind of thing, but this one is electrified so it has like a hot plate in the center of it. So I can put that coffee pot down on that trivet. And it'll keep my pot hot all day
Steve, the depression in the fount is not for preheating, also the generator is on top of the valve, the burner screws onto it, you were preheating below the valve and will damage it. These are great stoves and are pretty costy on ebay, I found 2 at a yardsale last year for 5.00 a piece. They also make a Russian clone of it that is a good stove.
Way back when my grandfather would cut the LOG CABIN Maple Surup cans down so grandma could make mini loaves of bread for us kids to take home. You really need to think about a video on dual purpose shop tools for cooking, this time it was a saw blade last time it was a bike sprocket and don't forget the paint scraper eggs flipper and so on. Oh yes Gregory. I love to improvise. When I can this blade was in a dado to do cutter kit.??? I like it it's nice and thick so. It does pretty good heat dispersion. I cover this in the description, all edges contured on my wire wheel and sanded smooth , no sharp surfaces or corners, one comment suggested bending over the edges, I will try that .
