Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is especially lovely to hear someone speak about their faith so openly and also for loving SA. A lot of South African people forget to see the beauty still visible in our country...and they keep on thinking they should leave because we have nothing good left here. Hearing you speak so mooi about our SA, made my heart swell.
    Baie dankie😊

I'm currently in Hamburg on business. Visited 4 countries and a dozen cities. Was absolutely floored by the Caucasus mountains and their beauty. Plan to visit many more places, but South Africa is absolutely home. Flying back next week after a month abroad now.
Two weeks in Georgia for a Contiki (the country), and half the tour group wants to visit South Africa now. Africa is wild. It is interesting. Probably why I was voted 'most interesting person' on the tour with my stories 😂

I will always choose South Africa (or even just Africa) over other continents. Yes, we might have incompetent and corrupt governments BUT this is Africa we are talking about. Other continents are there to go visit and nothing else. I might be a tiny bit bias seeing that I am from the the African continent, doesn't change my viewpoint.

We praise God that he sent you to South Africa and placed you in the positions that he has. It's awesome that He has placed you with us. You are a blessing, and you are going to be blessed following what God has planned for you. God has given you experiences that have molded you into the woman that you are, and just know the harder the experiences have been the stronger you are. As the kids learnt this last week, Gods word is Concrete and as we if we follow it we have the blueprint for our live. We love you and wishing the best for you.

Interesting story. Seemingly SA tends to get a bad rep from the "first world economy" diaspora (unfairly so in my view). Many, from the States especially; upon landing on our shores, end up in tears/regret for having not come sooner in their lives.
We sure do have our problems, however SA is well-endowed with some beautiful landscapes and some of the most diverse fauna and flora environments. Another thing I've heard expats gushing more and more about... THE PEOPLE. I just know, you will fall more in love with this country as you get to visit more destinations within.
All the best wishes on your sojourn in Mzansi.

    Great to have you...
While the main purpose of prayer may be to help others, it never demonstrably does that. Prayers benefit only those believers who say or hear them. Prayer gives them comfort. It lets them think they have some control over a situation that may be out of their hands. It’s the last resort of people who have run out of ideas.
This is not harmless. There’s a very real downside to praying. It lulls believers into a false sense of accomplishment. We cannot solve our problems - much less the world’s - through prayer. We often see people with good intentions praying for victims in the wake of a tragedy, but prayer is useless without action, and those actions make the prayers IRRELEVANT.
I have no problem with “prayer” as an act of meditation. In fact, many atheists can tell you the benefit of silent self-reflection. The delusion occurs when you think someone else is hearing your thoughts and acting on them.
To paraphrase the great Robert Green Ingersoll - hands that help are faaaaaaaaaar better than lips that pray...

One month without even a short!! I missed ya 🥹 I wanna tell you sth I love how you talk about God. When you talk about him your eyes glow and your smile is brilliant, you don’t know but you are encouraging me to seek him more. Thanks a million

I am from Pretoria. Came across this video at random, but here is what makes it crazy.... If the film school and church you are talking about is the ones I am thinking of.... Then we are family haha. I am also part of that partnership of churches. What a coincidence.... Crazy
