I settled on the G43 with MagGuts +1 followers and one in the chamber so it doesn't change the profile of the gun and I get 8 rounds (two less than a flush fit mag in a G26 at a fraction of the size and weight). For me, it is deep concealment with the G43 or I'm just going to appendix a G19. The G26 with the extension doesn't feel as good as the G19 for my large hands and it holds 3 fewer rounds.
facts. G26 shoots great but without pinky x its annoying and by the time you add the pearce its about the same height as the g19 with a smaller barrel. It was a good gun at the time but now you got shield plus, shield 45, hellcats, p365x, i also kinda like the 43x and 48. I just soon carry a g23 gen 5, g19 or g30 and g21 in the winter.
I don't think this one was a special edition, or modified. Nothing eluded to that, and it was a new gun. Odd that they would have different versions of the same model like that.
@@GunslingerFirearmsandGear You may of just got lucky and found one extra special. I know some of the earlier models of the G19 could be found with and without the extra front slide cuts.
@@transambill1 I read earlier today the the ones without front serrations were earlier releases, and that it was supposed to be the standard for G5 Glocks. Regardless, I do like the gun.
I will check them out, and forward to her. Right now, bag carry may be the best option with her work and such. Not ideal, but probably the most secure.
I know this is a stupid question but i just ordered my glock 26 and it will be my first gun purchase (never held a gun before) and i was curious how i would know what ammo is compatible. I see that its a 9MM but does that mean i can just go to any store and ask for 9MM and any brand will be compatible with it? Thanks for any help in advance!
Glocks will spit basically any 9mm ammo you use FMJ, HP’s, +p... they do it all. I would just steer clear of reloads.... they tend to be more hazardous and these are the times when I hear about Glocks actually exploding.
@@freddyceeclaudio9990 My personal preference is the Polymer 80 Glock compact frame. The one that fits the Glock 19 slide. At least for shooting. I'm still going to carry Glocks that I trust. Meaning ones that I've put plenty of ammo through, and trust not to malfunction.
I agree, you buy something you want it to work and function, and last. Thats my beef with Century Arms, they expect you to keep shelling out money through all of their failures
I believe the gen 5 to be the best, but it’s not thinner. It may be a better universal fit due to the lack of finger grooves/ridges. I would suggest trying out a gen 5 in your hands, and possibly a 43, or 43X.

It's a real nice shooter. She's still looking for some comfortable methods of carrying it on her person, but a good choice none the less.

love glocks. i just got a g26 gen 3 brand new from academy for $500. i couldn’t pass it up i’m not new to glocks but in new too the 26. i love it!

Yes front slide cuts are my first choice and I really like the G26 the best of all the Glocks due to being able to run any length magazine in the gun.
Front serrations are not for me. I keep my fingers away from the business end of firearms.
for the gen 5 g26, are you able to swap the mag release to the other side for lefty shooters?

Planning on getting a 26 gen 3 for my 21st birthday even though I already have a m&p 9 shield it's the principal.
M&P 9 was my first edc gun it did me well but I ended up switching to the 26. Best decision i’ve made.

I think you might have the wrong pin in your back strap, there’s a longer one included.
I used the longer pin to install the back strap. I'll have to review the video, but I think I stated that. May have left it out though. lol
On the newest versions of the Gen 5 Glock 17, 19, 34, and 45, they have deleted the cutout in the front strap.

IT IS THINNER. DOSNT FIT IN GEN 3 HOLSTERFROM cYA meant from gen 3-5 .The Gen 3 is tight. The gen 5 is loose .

Not all of the Gen 5s have the front serrations. My Gen5 26 doesn’t.
Apparently those without are early releases.

That’s a feature they have added to the gen 5, it wasn’t included on the first batch of gen 5 but they have recently added it.
