Most frustrating things while trying to complete this: Accidental batclaw takedowns, batclawing the wrong enemy, batclawing instead of dodging, destroying every bat or knife instead of batons and shields, leaping over someone and still getting hit, accidentally dodging and losing your streak, getting overwhelmed and not knowing what to press, batman avoiding the 10 guys around him to go punch a shield, having to deal with the same dialogue every 3 seconds, and finally literally dying inside
this is why i don't like arkham knight it's more difficult than the other games some for the right reasons and some for the wrong ones the right ones are the variety of enemies ones holding guns/ ones that can revive/ ones that give someone that electricity/ and then the big guys that can punch real fast or also have shock gloves with a shield but the wrong reasons are the obvious one you mention where the batclaw or your attack hits someone else instead which i never had a problem with in the other games the other problem is the enemies are slightly faster but batman is either the same or slower which just to be safe makes you do the whole boring shadow of mordor thing where you constantly have to jump over everyone
To be honest, it’s really just good timing, you need to know when use a gadget, when to strike, and when to do a good combo,if you pay attention and see a opening, then take the shot.
I'd have loved a Challenge Map where you could alternate between playing as a younger Batman with Jason Todd as Robin, and playing as the modern Batman teaming up with Red Hood.

My finest moment was a combo of 800+ in the Joker Carnival in AC. I love your videos, you really are an amazing gamer.

@@cantsuggestareasonablename9101 It's only buggy in Origins. The combo break was intentional since misfire of gadgets always results in combo drops - regardless if it was a ninja or not.
@@Samuel152 Well for me whenever I play an Arkham game the combo system will have at least a couple of bugs or glitches. And the player not fully being in control during combat sucks.
I hope Rocksteady continues to support the game with updates because I wish they are able to address the sometimes inaccurate targeting prioritization system in combat. Sometimes, I want to do a Disarm on a gun, but I target a knife or shock baton or I want to do a combat takedown on a Medic or Brute, but the game targets a normal thug. The rest of the time this awesome game works perfectly!
Yeah it's an AWESOME BADASS GAME! It's one of my favorite video games ever. TellTale Games are making a new Batman video game too. So we'll have more Batman games!

I finally got the achievement just ten minutes ago. After experiencing all that, it made me appreciate more how you play. You use every move you have, while never spamming anything. You're still one of the best gaming channels on TH-cam. 😁

Something really cool about this game is how it could literally spawn a million of ANY given enemy, at any given time, and as long as you know how to fight, you can take them all on. There really is no limit to what you can do as Batman in the Arkham games.

Yeah this was bullshit on rocksteadys part. Get the feeling they're making people achieve shit they most likely cant achieve themselves. You end up fighting against mechanics doing stupid shit and are just looking for getting 100% lucky to get this crap done.
RuleGhost This Achievement was pretty annoying mainly because alot of the times you fail, it was you fighting the games mechanics. Batrangs throwing themselves. Batman diving to punch someone electric charged when you weren't facing that direction, pressing counter only to still get hit, shooting the dang batclaw and it fires at thin air! Alot of this just put the holes in the mechanics on display for me. It was a fun ride for 3 (4 I guess) games and now all I can say is. Spider-man ps4 soon.
That is true, I still don't doubt that *one day* I will get this achievement. The most frustrating thing like you said is the targeting of the batclaw. Even though it does prioritize electrically charged opponents it still misfires a lot. Despite that the mechanics are pretty much the beat they'll be for a few generations I bet. Can't say for Spidey though....PC players can't get PS4 exclusives :(
I did it, I finally did it. After over 3 months of starting over, I was so close on many times, even reached the required score more than once but ended up losing the fight. And just a few minutes ago I said to myself "just one try for today, if not, then don't try again". And damn I hit nearly 1.7 million points with 500+ combo on that lone try, completing the challenge and seeing the achievement pop up.
Finally did it.... Real tip that helped me once you get the combo of like 300-400 start taking guys out with the enviroment takedown because it will the combo times that (example 350x100=35 000) Just that is 35000 points like that one takedown and that many points... Took me days while trying all the tips but this was the last piece that made me achieve it
It's 2023 and im still convinced that Bruce Wayne himself is the one playing and recording these games. Ain't no way this can be done by an average human, fucking insane.
Now that I think of it Batman really goes to the extremes to test himself. Makes a simulation where he fights till he dies that's true dedication there.
I managed to do this only once and it was on the high difficulty setting, but that was after a very high amount of tries. I’ve been trying to do it again, but it’s damn near impossible because the game with screw me randomly. Batman will for some reason turn into a human bullet and start warping across the room causing me to end up hit shield enemies or just punching the air, the combo meter will disappear during environmental takedowns, I’m being hit by enemies while in an animation for a takedown and there’s times the batclaw will fly straight through someone and count as a miss.

Getting 500 won't be too hard if the enemies didn't grow in variety. I wish it was like the challenge from the top of the high island where you play as azreal.
I kept going for take downs. I just kept knocking over as many people as I could and using the multi take down. I also thought the enemies would hit me if I tried to use the bat claw on the electrified enemies. Thanks for showing how it's done. Watched this once and did it on my first try after hours of rage.
I got this done today. And even managed to Perfect Freeflow the pre-Croc part somehow too. Not nearly in the same style as this guy though XD. My hands actually hurt from mashing jump for hours. But damn it felt good. To anyone who wants it, keep trying. I got my perfect after endless No Good runs dropping at high 200-combos, then out of the blue it clicked. You just gotta know your basics - evading, your i-frames and stay extremely patient in the challenge. Easier said than done though, but it's worth it. Good luck!
just done it and it didnt take long because i took a safe way to do it, up to 50-60 combo do whatever you want but now the medics show up so you need to avoid hitting them, how? well just jump over any henchman and hit them from the back. same applies for batton knifes and assasins, if you dont do this you risk hitting a shield or brutes, only batclaw the electrified guys and disarm all shields/batons/guns as they appear, just keep jumping over them and building up combo. nothing fancy just jump , hit from the back and takedown on assassins /brutes when they start showin up, i got hit around 950k and still managed to get the rest of the points by doing this
I just lve the contrast in Nightwing's tone of voice when he says the sentence: [friendly]"Hey, buddy!...This is *gonna hurt!* " LOL that's like the equivalent of saying "Here, have some delicious chocolate ice-cream while I *$H!T IN YOUR BOWL!* "
my highest score I’ve gotten while doing this achievement is around 900 000 (with getting hit). this guy can get 1 600 000 without getting hit edit: after 6 months, i finally got a score of around 1300000 probably going to call it my best achievement
Not being jelly or stuff, but am I the only one who encounters much more thugs with shields in Game than BAV, even though I keep destroying their shields.
@@NinjaPanda-dt3ye the only suicidal thing about this map is the damn targeting system. If it was as good as in City, I would have done it by now. Fucking terrible.
Batgirl is the best character for this map IMO. She has Batman's best moves (especially disarm and destroy) but there is no Croc fight to interrupt your combo and screen doesn't get crowded with 3+ brutes. The brutes take all the momentum out of the fight, when they show up all you can do is do a redirect and hit someone's back until you fill the combo meter or the duel takedown and the game makes sure that 3 or more brutes are on the arena at all times.
actually yes because you need to achieve an insane surreal combo score to 1 million for achievement/trophie and still take down killer croc after that which can be impossible if you lose many health during the 1million points (that's why the combo is important), while in joker challenge you just push the rt/r1 button that automatically give you 500 thousand point even losing the combo since you not being hitted before that

Honestly the most difficult part about this challenge map is dealing with the targeting system for the combat If the field gets too crowded the game has no clue who you’re trying to hit That and the variable timed blade swipes
Critical Strikes to build high combo numbers and doing high value combos to increase the number. And other combo moves that multiples the number, like Multiground Takedown.

Dude, this challenge is glitched as heck on Xbox. I made the required 1,005,000 points and it continuously respond enemies to the point where my character died so now I have to restart that entire thing I don’t even want to touch the game anymore. And before you ask yes I was playing Batman.

Yeah, the targeting has been really off. Every time I shield bash a thug as Robin, he always goes for the stun baton thug.

not really though it can be done, just takes a ton of practice. croc only spawns after 1.5mil points. if you can survive that long then you good

amazing playthrough. Humbling. I am an avid arkham player and this is beyond me. I had no idea that play like this was even possible.

I managed to do this only once and it was on the high difficulty setting, but that was after a very high amount of tries. I’ve been trying to do it again, but it’s damn near impossible because the game with screw me randomly. Batman will for some reason turn into a human bullet and start warping across the room causing me to end up hit shield enemies or just punching the air, the combo meter will disappear during environmental takedowns, I’m being hit by enemies while in an animation for a takedown and there’s times the batclaw will fly straight through someone and count as a miss.
You can play with any character or just Batman and Nightwing?

Does anyone have any tips for me? I'm always trying to get Croc but the shields and the electric sticks always become a problem.
HDQO101 and batclaw slam the electrified guys as much as you can to evade more.
You can always freeze them with the freeze blasts and hit the guys with the sticks with batarangs and stuff like that
Square and triangle at the same time when the combo goes yellow
Spider-Man 1095 you can quick fire the rec to disarm electric batons and send them flying and just disarm and destroy the shields
Another nice addition to this map would've been a Solomon Grundy mini-boss.

Getting 500 won't be too hard if the enemies didn't grow in variety. I wish it was like the challenge from the top of the high island where you play as azreal.

I kept going for take downs. I just kept knocking over as many people as I could and using the multi take down. I also thought the enemies would hit me if I tried to use the bat claw on the electrified enemies. Thanks for showing how it's done. Watched this once and did it on my first try after hours of rage.

I got this done today. And even managed to Perfect Freeflow the pre-Croc part somehow too. Not nearly in the same style as this guy though XD. My hands actually hurt from mashing jump for hours. But damn it felt good.
To anyone who wants it, keep trying. I got my perfect after endless No Good runs dropping at high 200-combos, then out of the blue it clicked. You just gotta know your basics - evading, your i-frames and stay extremely patient in the challenge. Easier said than done though, but it's worth it. Good luck!

just done it and it didnt take long because i took a safe way to do it, up to 50-60 combo do whatever you want but now the medics show up so you need to avoid hitting them, how? well just jump over any henchman and hit them from the back. same applies for batton knifes and assasins, if you dont do this you risk hitting a shield or brutes, only batclaw the electrified guys and disarm all shields/batons/guns as they appear, just keep jumping over them and building up combo. nothing fancy just jump , hit from the back and takedown on assassins /brutes when they start showin up, i got hit around 950k and still managed to get the rest of the points by doing this

my highest score I’ve gotten while doing this achievement is around 900 000 (with getting hit). this guy can get 1 600 000 without getting hit
edit: after 6 months, i finally got a score of around 1300000 probably going to call it my best achievement

Not being jelly or stuff, but am I the only one who encounters much more thugs with shields in Game than BAV, even though I keep destroying their shields.
+Kick Ass don´t even bother destroying them in the ice berg lounge map. If you do it will spawn a new one anyway like 5 seconds after.

@@NinjaPanda-dt3ye the only suicidal thing about this map is the damn targeting system. If it was as good as in City, I would have done it by now. Fucking terrible.
Batgirl is the best character for this map IMO. She has Batman's best moves (especially disarm and destroy) but there is no Croc fight to interrupt your combo and screen doesn't get crowded with 3+ brutes. The brutes take all the momentum out of the fight, when they show up all you can do is do a redirect and hit someone's back until you fill the combo meter or the duel takedown and the game makes sure that 3 or more brutes are on the arena at all times.

actually yes because you need to achieve an insane surreal combo score to 1 million for achievement/trophie and still take down killer croc after that which can be impossible if you lose many health during the 1million points (that's why the combo is important), while in joker challenge you just push the rt/r1 button that automatically give you 500 thousand point even losing the combo since you not being hitted before that

Honestly the most difficult part about this challenge map is dealing with the targeting system for the combat
If the field gets too crowded the game has no clue who you’re trying to hit

Critical Strikes to build high combo numbers and doing high value combos to increase the number. And other combo moves that multiples the number, like Multiground Takedown.

Dude, this challenge is glitched as heck on Xbox. I made the required 1,005,000 points and it continuously respond enemies to the point where my character died so now I have to restart that entire thing I don’t even want to touch the game anymore. And before you ask yes I was playing Batman.
Try changing Batman suit, it worked for me
