- In sharing about his struggle with mental health, at times Prince Harry is seen tapping on his shoulders while his eyes move back and forth. It's a strategy he learned as part of a particular type of therapy called EMDR, which stands for eye movement, desensitization and reprocessing. Harry permitted cameras into the therapy session as part of a new Apple TV+ docuseries, “The Me You Can't See,” with Oprah Winfrey. Actress Evan Rachel Wood, a sexual assault survivor, also swears by EMDR. #InsideEdition

I had actually forgotten that his mom was princess Diana when he was in the news so often lately.
Imagine calling someone weak for being open about going to therapy. I think that person is just afraid to go themselves and taking it out on Harry because he’s not only doing it, but shared the experience with the world.

It's one thing to be open about getting therapy, but to actually have your therapy session televised is really shocking to me.
The fact that someone had the nerve to call him weak for seeking therapy and sharing it with the world just goes to show the trash humans that exist in our world. He has had the world watching him literally since the day he was born and with all he has been through in his life I am so happy for him that he has found a way to cope and live with it. 💕
I'm from Europe and in Europe people don't go to therapy. If yes, they don't tell anyone, because people will talk bad about you.

No, its not weak. But therapy should be done in private and not for the eyes of world to see. We all have problems and suffer from mental collapse in one form or another. This feels like a spectacle more than it's helping me.

EMDR was too hard for me, but ART worked remarkably well for my PTSD. It's tough to swallow, but the investment of processing my trauma is worth it.

I admire Prince Harry opening up about this EMDR THERAPY! It truly works & is fantastic how do I know has I'm currently having it too ! It is the best therapy to deal with all sorts of trauma , stress that even us humans subconsciously push aside ! Prince Harry is actually a strong person opening up about this not weak ! He did drink a lot and did drugs, I think most of it was kept under wraps for the wotld not to see. It was obvious though how hard it was for him and William. William became quiet and Harry went wild. I wish people will stop criticising him for talking about it, I hope it works for him.

There is nothing stronger than a man who isn't afraid to be himself. He's left a part of his life that's toxic for him and now he's healing from a lifetime of pressure...and from looking around at family gatherings and seeing not only the couple who made his mom miserable but a roster of suspects for even worse things. The further his life gets from that crowd, the better. Good for him. His mom would be proud.
What kind of therapist permits their client/patient to bare their soul to the world... EMDR has been around since the 80s and there is no empirical evidence to suggest that it works. Harry would do better if he went to an ethical professional who specialises in techniques that have proven benefits, such as CBT

EMDR therapy helps so much, I have CPTSD and it has lessened my symptoms. It's weird as hell though.

I encourage tapping in my 5yold grandchild. I think its great, even at this stage of understanding. It provides a distraction and validates her feelings. Swear by it.
