    Est ce que ce test est effectué pour chaque appareil ou est ce que c'est juste dans le cadre de l'intégration du système en question ?

    Aren't the data for landing readily available when pilot lands the plane manually? Why not take the dataset

      I believe here they are demonstrating RNP LPV or some GBAS/SBAS autoland, since they mention GPS signals. These technologies would allow autoland even on airports that are not equipped with a physical (and expensive to maintain) ILS system

    • @MrSchwabentier
      @MrSchwabentier ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes of course, but you still need to test and tune the autopilot of new aircraft models for it

    • @christopherbazaka1564

      @@pilotluca_ No they are not demonstrating that in this video. At 3:24 they talk about the ILS components. Moreover, throughout the video you can clearly see the GS and LOC modes active on the FMA, as well as the localizer frequency in the bottom left tuned. Even more clearly, at 4:34 you can see on the navigation display, at the top of the map, it says which approach is loaded into the system, an ILS 14R approach.
      The GPS signals you mentioned, are being used by the engineers to obtain data and tune the system, they say this in the video at 1:35. Like other comments have said, it seems this video is about them demonstrating the process of how they tune and certify a plane to perform autolands with an ILS

    Ok, So A350 can do an autoland and what about other planes? Like A320neo? And can it make it in any airport that hav ils? And what about rnav?
    Is there any curtain way to understand that i can do an autoland with curtain aircraft and runway?

      Autoland has been a thing since the 1960s and it’s not a simple process it’s going to take more than that to get to single pilot ops
