I'd need a stock surron motor for that. Any motor can be tested for Kv. You need a few tools to do it, but they are ordinary enough. Drill to spin the motor, oscilloscope to look at the wave form coming off the motor and a tachometer to accurately measure RPM. Kv is RPM per volt. The tachometer tells you the RPM and the scope shows the voltage...viola Kv!
Hello, I have a qs 165 encoder version. I have an issue with it. It shows "Motor hall error" I suspect the encoder board to be faulty, there are 3 wires coming out for encoder signal (green, blue and yellow), the green and yellow are outputing 0 to 3v depending on the motor position, but the blue wire signal never changes, it's always at 0V. How could I test the sensor board to see if it is the problem? Thank you very much for your help
The width of QS165 Motor will update to 127MM instead of original 130MM from the batch dated 20220801 That's what I've been told is different as the v1 requires cutting to the frame to fit
One of the beauty of VESC is being able to run a 10 second diagnosis on your motor and find out if its a clapped out motor or not when comparing to the results you will be getting 🤣
I take apart an FPSEC in other videos. They are significantly different from the v2. I don't think the FSPEC motor is a V2 if that is what you are implying.

Coming soon. The V2 nut is on there much tighter than the V1. I need to buy a more powerful impact tool to get it removed before I can do this.

Yes I am aware of this and will be using a Trampa 100-250 to characterize the various motors I review.
