Little Update: The first 100units will get an upgrade, allowing to measure up to 900A. This way peak phase amps can be set much higher, in the region of 700A.
i want to see how the power and phase wires terminate. i figure i can use my x9k ultra bee mount / wiring kit with the surron heatsink, i just ordered one to find out!
i have just found the controller ive been looking for ,and has all the addons that ive had to build seperatly for other controllers all built in im sure theres ability to have external buttons control all the switchable outputs ,yep im sure i see something about 8 x gpio inputs if im right,so could even do all your accessories and lights aswell, i think it might even be cheaper then the x9000 here in australia
Hi Katie! Been a bit since you commented last. For now at least, those "buttons" are virtual on your phone. You can have speed and power profiles now too, but again, that's all done via your phone. I know that work is being done to make this stuff into physical buttons and switches, but that doesn't exist quite yet for 99.9% of VESC implementations. It will be here soon. I'm guessing in the next major release of VESCtool, you will see this stuff as physical switches? I'm like you in this regard and been implementing all of this myself via my own solutions. The STR-500 isn't $500 cheaper than the X9000, but it does cost less.
i was having to design individual arduino units to control lights blinkers, precharge and contactor circuit delays ,but with this controller and then with the VESC Express this is a all in one solution ive started learning about them now before ive even got the controller i just hope they have a smaller version that can work together for my front motor as well ,but im sure ill find something@@frankdrenckhahn9521
the Flipsky can handle up to 20S safely, if you don't use regen and are careful with spikes even 22S if you have it watercooled you can go up to 600A phase current with the no limits firmware, max peak current on that thing is 800A for the price the 75350 is quite insane
@@Moti0nGFX we had a few teething issue when they first arrived which has now been rectified, we have put them through some extensive testing on our surron and talaria bikes and they should be ready to ship this month! we have a small video on our youtube channel but expect a full run down video showing it in action to come soon!
similar build quality...aka pretty good! Thing is the STR500 is full VESC and the X9000 has to have it's own development tree since it does diverge in some ways. It's still running VESC in it's CPU.

@@lightning_dynamics Yeah, but it's still illegal and in case you have an accident you have to expect that an expert will look at your bike and notice that you have replaced the original X-Controller against a more powerful one. There's other offerings out there in VESC. Tronic will release the 1000 soon and that operates at 150v and 1000pa. Shul has the CL1400 or 150v max and 1400pa. I know of another VESC offering coming at 1700pa. Shul is working on 200v controllers.

Amazing development from VESC too though! 🎉
Call it an inability to see the cursor without the trails.

This is crazy, definingly marketed for the Suron guys. But has so much potential.
Great controller and its what people who dont want their bikes to fail should be installing on their talarias and sur rons
as much as sweet as this controller looks, dunno if it is worth the price compared to a 3Shul CL700 (up to 30S) or a Tronic 750 🤔
Great video I am so looking forward to buying one , or two...lol
