I have the green grenade. Just got it today. It's fantastic. I've seen divers for 3 grand and up that this one stacks up with. It has saved me a ton of money.
I just to received my SRPE39 King Manta Ray turtle 🐢. I own the Padi Turtle as well but these new King Turtles 🐢 with sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel are amazing 🤩
This is definitely an amazing 🤩 seiko diver . I’ve tried this watch on before at a local jeweler. I also tried on the King Seiko Manta Ray turtle on bracelet. That dial was beyond amazing.
I think the grit your feeling when screwing the crown back in is the manual wind feature. The SKX doesn't feature manual wind so it would feel smoother. I just bought this watch today and it feels like my other manual wind, screw down crowns.
I must have bought and sold at least 5 turtles and now I'm looking for another one lol. There's something about the turtle that always pulls me back into wanting one.
I love the turtle. Have the one with the blue manta ray dial. Love that dial so much that i bought a samurai with the same manta ray dial. Unscrewing the crown on my turtle feels smooth & lubricated. My samurai on the other hand feels rough to unscrew initially but is getting better after a couple of screwing & unscrewing.
Try using dental floss on the threading of your watch . The threads could be dirty. I’ve done this on a few of my watches and definitely improved when screwing in the crown .
I also like the Steel Dive Willard Homage with NH35,ceramic Bezel,Saphire crystal under 100.00 Dollars and the Citizen Pro Master around 250.00 Dollars!😊
I always lube my divers crown/gasket with Silcon 7 high vacuum pressure watch case sealant. That will smooth out the threads or try cleaning with a q tip and then waxed dental floss between the threads. Esslinger has the Silcon 7. Great looking watch, BTW have you put it on a timegrapher yet?
I have the exact same watch I just got it three months ago it had to break in when I first got it it wasn’t winding very much but after I wore it for three months they broke in my question is how many seconds today is it off mine is only one second behind
For me, the sapphire glass and bezel plus the dial design makes me prefer the king turtle over the basic turtle. Especially if you can find a good pre-owned one
how is 500 plus dollars low price ? Chinese brands (that use seiko movements) have sub 150 dollar watches with cereamic bezels and zaphire cristal. 500 dollars is by no means low price
What worries me about eBay is that I could end up paying $400 for a $100 knockoff. And unkess the Knick off is really really bad I’d have no idea until it gets serviced one day.
I've bought three Seikos on eBay with no issues so far. The movement inside is also probably what a fake would use anyhow, so it's a pretty solid bet I think
@@the1010watchclub I’m sure you’re probably right. But I’ve been burned before by knockoffs so I guess I’m a little more on the paranoid side when it comes to counterfeits lol. And the higher the price the more I’ll obsess about it
I would say the king turtle is a little more versatile because of its color, but the Pepsi padi is pretty awesome too. As I’m typing this, I’m realizing I won’t be of any help at all since I have both 😂
@@the1010watchclub 😂😂 I’m kind of considering getting both of them too honestly. Thank you for answering ! One more question: I’ve found a video here on TH-cam that compares the 21k1 with the newer version 91k1 that says the last has a slightly darker blue dial compared to the older model (yours) it’s the only person I’ve seen saying this and in pictures I can’t really see it , but this guy compares the two and says : look it’s darker . Do you know anything about it ?
I don’t have any hands-on experience with the other model, but mine is definitely satisfyingly dark blue. The “ray“ when it catches the sun is pretty light, so maybe there’s more of a contrast, but I would definitely call it a dark blue dial.
Seiko's QC and movement regulation straight out of the box has been abysmal for years now, unfortunately. Cool designs but terrible QC and unwarranted price increase across the board.

Awesome!

Thread some waxed dental floss (it needs to be waxed) around the crown stem and it should resolve the grainy issue you were describing.
Thanks Josh!

bracelets from mark are good you can trust his stuff... he knows what the people want and need...
A nice video.
A day/date with the candybar is so helpful for us "older folks"
It's a great watch.
I got a made in Japan SRPE39 for $387 delivered. First King Turtle. Nice upgrade over the original models from years ago. Nice review.
That’s a great deal!
Dale I just today received my SRPE39. This is one of the best and most beautiful dials I’ve ever seen on a watch .
Cool watch. To realy complete the package, they should added a signed crown as well...
I must have bought and sold at least 5 turtles and now I'm looking for another one lol. There's something about the turtle that always pulls me back into wanting one.
They're special for sure

Work waxed dental tape into the threads and the screwdown crown will be smooth and perfect.
Great tip thank you
There is also a very cool turtle shell face version that I’m very interested in. Great time piece man. Just perfect.
I'll have to check that out
Really like the sapphire crystal.... great price....bezel action....gold on the second hand!!
Great seeing you Jonah!!
😊😊
Thank you, you too 👍🏼
Good to see you again. Beautiful watch.
I wore it again today!
Push the crown in when you turn it, it should feel smooth then.
Just got one, thank you for the video. I have laundry, one for a couple of years

I just ordered mine for 350$. It is my first Seiko!!
Enjoy!
I've ordered a Japanese made one today, can't wait
Awesome, let me know how you like it!
Do you mean the kanji day wheel one? Otherwise their all made in Japan. Just the kanji day wheel one is made for the Japanese domestic market.
@@jeffd3802 nah all the king turtle model number ending in k are made in Malaysia and all ending in j are made in Japan, yes it has kanji and English
I have the exact same watch I just got it three months ago it had to break in when I first got it it wasn’t winding very much but after I wore it for three months they broke in my question is how many seconds today is it off mine is only one second behind
That's fantastic. Mine is running about -7/day on the timegrapher
I like the SeikoPADI with Coke Bezel And the Seiko SRP777!
Mine arrives Saturday, and I am seriously afraid my other watches are going to gather dust.
Good work. Hugs from Brazil.
Great vid! I love this version and do have it, which bracelet is that ?
I believe it’s the oyster style from Long Island Watch
hello from Italy, nice video! this Seiko is really nice🔥💪 I'm undecided between this and the basic one😔 ..what do you recommend?
thank you!

is it just me or why don't you put a little drop of oil on the crown screw if it's an issue, Great review!
"Why do some of these watches feature hour hands in gold while others do not? Is there a specific reason for this variation?"
I just managed to get it on eBay for 220! What a STEAL!
Great find
@@the1010watchclub indeed, it has become my daily wearer…. I absolutely love it.
I would dare to say that is my favourite in my collection.
Bought two of them already, One for sibiling one for uncle and about to get one for myself.😂
Love it. Make sure you all wear them at the same time!
Nice. What is your wrist size?
7.25”
Buy at macys when on sale.
How did you get the srpe03j1 (one with the movement Japan)printed in the dial. Thanks
It just happened to be the one I got on eBay, I wasn’t specifically looking for a J mode over the other model
Just lubricate the crown threads.. 6309 OG turtle still the best.
Nice review. I have the same model. Agree on that gritty winder...it just feels off.
I brought this three months ago. At HKD 3400. Very good price. I wonder how Seiko made this low price watch with Ceramic Bezel ?

Yes, it is the Chinese version. Not make in Japan. @@andrefigueiredo4805

The watch is just a little too big.
It'd definitely a big boy
How’d you get it for that cheep it’s 700 dollars on he website?
The malaysian made have quality issues!!
Is that a guillotine behind you in the beginning? Over your left shoulder
It’s not THAT kind of basement- that’s a water rower machine that is standing on its end
