    Hello! It's me! Driven assimilator! Have you been unplugged from simulation? Too bad! Now you have to pay for your life support!

    Rogue Servitors are also my favorite! Efficiency is king! I prefer Invasive Species + 4 negative traits for my Bio-Trophies. +20% habitability AND +20% pop growth is phenomenal for these pops, especially if you value complex drone output bonus more than unity. The habitability (20% instead of 10%) even makes up for half the bonus you'd get from Traditional (+5% unity)

      You should try Rogue Servitors w/ Lithoid bio-trophies: Incubators, Traditional, Scintillating Skin.
      Lithoids may not grow as fast, but they can grow literally anywhere, and you don't need to worry about food. Also, If you want to pump up your numbers of them a bit, occasionally colonize a planet with Bio-trophies, then resettle a couple machines in, and resettle them out to somewhere else. Incubators is the only pop growth bonus trait that works with them, and scintillating skin gives you access to Crystals right off the bat, so every once in a while you can pop on enhanced sensors edict to help decide which direction to expand in.

      @@jemal999 Might be worth a try. I also grow my organic bio-trophies everywhere, since the pop-growth bonuses make up for the penalty from low habitability. And the extra consumer goods/food upkeep are negligible anyway.

    One thing I always hope for when I play a non-genocidal machine empire is the Racket Industrial Enterprise caravaneer fleet. Sometimes they offer the blueprints for the waste collection building which grants a passive resource production of minerals and energy and it also gives technician jobs.
    Aside from that, make the Rogue Servitor video!!

  • @Michael-yf1wo

    I'd like to see a Rogue Servitor run as well. I can't quite figure out a motivation for my RS builds - do they want to destroy all sapient life in order to protect their bio-trophy species? Can RS conquer AI planets or pre-ftl planets and "save" that is, make bio-trophies out of the survivors? Sounds like a RS empire can get new bio-trophy species through migration agreements with other empires... So a goal for the playthrough goal might be a multi-species collection of bio-trophies - and we can do this the easy way... or the hard way. The choice is yours.

    People tend sleep the Maintenance Protocols civic and how its decent for counteracting the pop sink for amenities and lack of early game unity for machines, since it gives +1 unity to maintenance drone jobs. Though obviously its not perfect since its less of a main unity source and more of band aid for how awful maintenance drone jobs are.

    Also a big fan of Rogue Servitors. Be fun to see you do a run with the new DLC; dunno if machine empires can take the new Riftworld origin, good excuse to play out both if they can. (Oh, maybe with Exploration Protocols added?!) I always liked to use the Remnants origin myself to get an 'easier' Ecumenopolis later on.

    I would love to see another playthrough of another machine empire! I really enjoy the videos where someone is playing a particularly strong build that they know/like against a strong end game myself, and the longer videos (40ish+ minutes) always make me happy. I hope to see it but otherwise, enjoying the content, thanks!

    for pure robot builds food and consumer goods should only appear as recourses after the galactic market has been established. I mean who are you selling food to on your local market.

    Alright I gotta share this:
    I main a determined exterminator, and although Expansion is my #1 go to first, because the game I'm playing rn? I got into a constant war with a federation at the beginning of the game.
    I knew they were gonna declare war, so I had to skip expansion and get Supremacy...
    After 5 traditions later I'm NOW getting expansion, because of the constant wars I'm having to deal with. 😅
    I'm lucky I got the Head of Zorqa (I think I'm saying that right) giving me nearly "free" fallen empire ships. Because of it, I managed to defend against a total of 500k fleet power worth of dragon fleets with that, and a maxed citadel with level 3 fighters in all 44 defense stations.
    It was a long and grueling battle (now fighting to keep my L gate cluster) and since they threw everything up front? I'm not gonna worry chemically processing the people of the empire, just bombarding and taking their science nexus for myself. 😁

    How can you settle on any planet? When I look at undesirable worlds it shows terrible habitat conditions and my pops are very unhappy

    • @0DemonKiller0
      @0DemonKiller0 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As machines you used to have 100% habitability on everything. Now it's a base 50%, so you can still take them but it's not as efficient

    I'm quite surprised you reccomended buiding theh ydroponics bay. I looked at the math and found the return on energy credits for selling the food was less than what it cost to maintain the thing.

    Personally, I think a full playthrough of Determined Exterminators would be great; as you said robots are really beginner friendly, and for a noob it can be very intimidating trying out a genocidal empire.

      Its DLC dependent, but mentioning the unique 'Nanobot Diffuser' Colossus that Driven Assimilators can get would have been worth it. Haven't seen a lot of lets players show it off, and even people with the DLC seem not to realize its a thing.

      Regarding the Curator Order, I might be wrong but I find they do tend to spawn around black holes or neutron stars. If you're gonna hunt for that enclave, it thus might be quicker to aim for those stars on your search.
      (Sensors are recommended to detect the Dimensional Horror before flying straight into its maw though.)

    What do you think about the new trait fot the plantoit biotrophys? Do you think is worth sacrify the 10 unity production vs an extra 10% habitability and 10% pop growth?
    pd: great video

      I like this question. Blatant exploitation of 'down-sides' is always funny to me.

    • @toney001
      @toney001 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The extra habitability alone is +5% to resources and pop growth, and -10% to amenities usage and pop upkeep on any planet that's less than 90% habitable. So you're really just giving up 5% unity production for 15% pop growth, -10% to amenities usage and -10% pop upkeep. Be mindful that 10% is additive, not multiplicative, so it amounts to a flat 0.2 unity per pop. In my current Servitor run, at year 55, with 10 planets and 84 bio-trophies, that 0.2 (which is actually less than that since habitability makes up for half the loss of Traditional) amounts to 16.8 unity. I'm producing 1308.53. You can imagine those 16.8 missing unity are barely an afterthought. The bulk of your unity production will come from Simulation Sites, not bio-trophies, BUT that extra growth will help fill your planets faster, which will translate to stability and complex drone output, and as a less effect, the lower amenities consumption helps free more mechanical drones from amenity producing jobs. So TLDR, yes. Unity production from bio-trophies is the least important part of the bio-trophies, go for Invasive Species in peace my friend!

      Moderately conquer planets to take some bio-trophy and bombard the rest, those trophy will boost your alloy production and fuel more war. Not fast, but on the bright side : you don't have to be friendly

    Obnoxious language tip:
    There's no such thing as the most unique or very unique. It's either unique or it isn't. This is called, "modifying an absolute," which is improper.

      This is like complaining that a video is focused on what's good in competitive matches of a shooter. If it's good in the hardest setting, then it's good in every setting.
      There is also no such thing as "how the game _should_ be played".
