The "massive ship" is just an arquitens light cruiser. It fills a heavy escort role for ISDs. I doubt a full on Moff with an ISB background is going to only have a light cruiser as his command ship so I'm still holding out hope that this is just the mobile research base for his efforts and he has a ISD or better yet an Allegiance as his command ship.

Giddion is more likely trying to gain force powers himself, rather than revive palps. Similar attempts were made in legends and would be more interesting than connecting to the skywalkers yet again
100% it’s either him trying to give himself force powers to be more like Vader. Or it’s him experimenting on making cyborg force sensitive dark troopers. The whole Palpatine and Snoke thing would be done on Exogol with the ancient sith. Since the first order didn’t even know that Palpatine was still alive.

I get that it would flesh out the story, but It would feel like a wasted plot point since we know that eventually the cloning works out. My first thought was semi-force sensitive imperial Troops to rival the growing force sensitive trainees.
I personally hope that the bodies in the tanks are failed attempts to berth generic force sensitives that are supposed to be turned into Dark Troopers and Gideon might be trying to make himself force sensitive.

That wasn't snokes theme when they showed the bodies in the tanks, I personally went back to that scene and snokes scenes, listened to the official snoke theme posted by Disney, and it doesn't match up, they're a little similar but vastly different, the theme that plays in the episode is actually closer to the theme we hear in revenge of the sith when Anakin hears about the tragedy of darth plagieus
This series is really a masterpiece. John Favreau and Dave Filoni are geniuses and it seems like there are multiple twists each episode. So fun, so action-packed. I never would have thought that a Star Wars without lightsabers could be so cool and so exciting. Can’t wait for Ahsoka Tano!
It’s a good idea, but I don’t think they will, since it technically doesn’t fit in the storyline of Galaxy’s Edge, since GE is set after The Last Jedi and before the events of Rise of Skywalker.
I am happy that the Mandolorian is acting as a “bridge”between the OT and Sequels. It helps the sequels feel consistent with each other and the entire saga as a whole.
Incorrect, palpatine’s son was not naturally born, he is confirmed to be a clone of palpatine himself, just wasn’t force sensitive. I believe that was confirmed in a novel.

When the Razor Crest and the last TIE fighter go at it straight on. Mando did the spinning move that really resembles ventress versus anakin in the 2d clone wars web series
As a side note, nobody got Mando's superhero landing at 16:26 (One knee up, the other on the ground with a fist to the ground). This was a nod to Gina Carano's character in Deadpool (also Disney IP) performing a superhero landing.

It's kind of a side quest, something meant to bridge the events from point A to point B without giving us much of anything. I definitely don't believe this episode was filler though.

I think the TROS novelization confirmed that Rey's father was indeed a Palpatine clone - a nonidentical clone but a clone nonetheless. If he is the volunteer Dr. Pershing's talking about, then that would explain why this clone was deemed a failure and scorned by Palpatine: he couldn't take the midichlorian-rich blood of The Child and thus couldn't become Force-sensitive.

my favorite episode so far. i felt like watching the prequels in the first act with its lighthearted and meme-able vibes, to watching the OT in the second act that felt like a legit space opera reminiscent to han/luke/leia in the death star and stormtroopers flopping around, to the heavy action we see in the in the sequels shown in the final act. i feel like this episode bridges the trilogies together with its story too. love it.

Corvus is a planet but also a ship in Battlefront 2 that was Inferno Squad's ship. Also, if you look at the colours and the look of the 'troopers' in the 'Dark Troopers' scene, it's reminiscent of Inferno Squad. Also, the timeline fits - after The Battle of Endor...
In this episode, at 10:56 as the mythrol looks at Mando, only his right eye points towards Mando. His left eye is in other direction foreshadowing the carbonite blindness.
Almost as impressive as Rey becoming the most powerful force user ever only 3-4 days after discovering she's force sensitive; with no training to boot.
I like to think that whole TIE sequence was a reference to when Han swoops in at the last second to save Luke before he blows up the deathstar. Theres even a comment from Han/Dinn referencing "kid" after the initial volley

For a second that cut section in the wedge of the imperial ship at the end looked like that of the Millennium Falcon as well
