    Thank you. Very informative video. Much appreciate you've put all the procedure end-to-end in one vid. Thanks a lot.

    Thank god, so much better design than the ones that sit in bottom of the transmission pan.

    Great video. I have a 2014 (6 speed). A little extra info: and the base of the battery holder is plastic, not metal. Taking off the wiring holders took the longest, as did getting pliers into the tight space where the filter is for the hose clamps. I'll bet you maybe don't have to take the black metal holder of the filter off (just the front w one 10 mm bolt). I could not find anywhere that there is a way to do it from underneath (or from the fender/wheel well). ATF filter part number: 25430-PLR-003. I'm not sure I'm up for changing this filter again, as I think doing ATF drain & fill (which I did at the same time as this filter) is probably more worth the time/effort and money. Note that Honda does not have a maintenance service interval (th-cam.com/video/0o4lh9_AyG0/w-d-xo.html) for this filter though some dealers say you should change it every 30-50k miles.

    Thank you for sharing the demonstration video. Very helpful.
    I service that filter at least every 2 yrs. I'm going to change the "strainer" Honda # 25420 RV2 003
    Our transmission is the
    Honda KA 6AT. Take care!

    Why doesn't my 2011 Honda Odyssey have a transmission fluid filter? Good video, thanks!

    At 5:00 of the video - you indicate the top hose. Is the top hose where the ATF flow into the filter? And the bottom hose is where the ATF flow out?

    I have a 2012 odyssey exl, I guess only the Elite models for 2011 and 2012 have the 6 speed engine with th external filter. My filter is on the inside of the engine so this video unfortunately won't apply to me. I think 2013- 2017 all models had the 6 speed not just the elites like in 2011 and 2012.

      I just did this on my 2014 odyssey because of your video. I couldn't get the hose off the filter until I finally twisted the hose as I pulled.

      @@giainhsumofamily9038 took me 1 and half day. The hardest part was the remove the crankshaft bolt . I bought special socket that fit outside on the pulley to lock it and used cheater bar from the top of engine compartment to remove it with plenty of wd40. It took many hours to remove that stubborn nut. If you have strong impact wrench you can save a lot of time. Try watching different video here on you tube on timing belt replacement plus water pump.

    Do you have the 5spd or 6spd transmission? Would you know the part number of the filter? Thanks

    • @BenefitExploits
      @BenefitExploits 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does the 5 speed have the same filter? If not… does the 5 speed have that same transmission hose as the 6sp? Could possibly cut that hose and fit it with that same filter with a couple fuel fitting hose clamps and that way you get that extra level of protection for the transmission.

      @@1mrcorona hey bro. My van that I just got acts weird on long trips. Transmission slips a tiny bit and changers gears differently, so this might be the problem right? Did you change the oil too? Around town the van works fine. Long trips is the problem, after driving for about two hours.
