I bought a Charter Arms in 1978 and also purchased a Henry a couple of years ago. Both have worked very well for me. Fun and functional little rifles.

Bought the Henry for dad many years ago. Always been a great and accurate little rifle. Used it to teach a couple nephews how to shoot. Recently inherited it and its still a great shooter.

Interesting history…Thanks! I bought my Henry AR 7 a couple of years back. Had a choice, buy black or camo…$40 more for camo…so bought the black model and camo painted it myself…rattle canned a grass pattern on it which to me looks better than the stock camo. Goes with me as my SUV gun to be available. I carry mine in an older repurposed tennis racket bag I picked up at Goodwill for $2 ! I did buy the extra clip since one clip can stay in the receiver when broken down and stored away, giving me 24 rounds of ammo already in clips.

Outstanding, comprehensive and other long words. I picked one up a couple years ago. Fascinating history. Great job my friend. I bought a Hipoint 995- 9mm carbine. Very reliable if you minimally clean it. And….I never worry about scratching the stock 🤪🤣! I will like and subscribe. I’ll look and see if you evaluated a 995. Great job.

Thanks. Much appreciated. We did review the 995 so it should be out there.

I had one of these rifels back in the 80s and after a week i traded it off. Very unaccurate and not reliable at all. But loved the history.

    Nice video!
The first gun I ever fired was a charter arms version back in the late 70s. Grew up shooting that gun and loved it.
I later bought my own as an adult and at that time it was the US Survival Arms version that was being produced. That thing was junk! Especially in comparison to the Charter Arms version.
Last year I bought the Henry version and it is by far the best version I’ve ever fired and owned. You can just tell by the little details that Henry put into it, that this is a great little gun.
Stay away from the US Survival version tho!
    Go Henry! 😎

Wear on the locking lug of the Magazine or the corresponding catch on the receiver would cause feed issues

B-70 crews would have a bolt-action rifle. You would think they would have been issued a gyrojet or a raygun because science.

Have you ever polished the trigger or sear? Results? Good or bad idea?

The AR7 has atrocious ergonomics for a lefty, and the build quality of the Henry variant sucks hard.

You must have gotten a bad one somehow or just have incredibly high standards as I have first hand experience with all versions except the original Armalite version and the Henry is by far the best.

@@mr.rattlebones7740 there are about a dozen different videos on TH-cam showing the front sight wobbling and falling off of the Henry

Bought an ar7 a few months ago. I don't see how they call this a survival rifle. Right out of the box all I did was open the cover plate. It takes hours trying to get it back on. This is a real piece of junk.
