Best part about this show is how Allan is normally portrayed as the eccentric neurotic weirdo, but the second he comes into contact with a stranger, he becomes the only normal and reasonable person within a hundred miles.
😂😂😂 I love the comparison lol
honestly i think allan is just masking his real personality behind a "normal person" personality lol. hes prolly only weird in private
Allan is pretty much the most normal person in the show, but that's because the world he lives in is clinically insane
@@sammyjones8279Nah, I think that would be Charlie. He's the center of attention so we see his eccentricities but he's relatively more of a straight man.
@@automatonfreaki think charlie does that role better
The middle manager having literally no arms and the worker having six is hilarious
Hence why I guess the six arms guy is so stressed cause he’s doing double the work
@@WolfHunner *triple
It’s really funny visual symbolism
This show is lowkey top tier dystopian allegory, screaming at a volume we still won't hear.
Goes back to his computer to continue looking at it
man the excitement of the cashier when he realizes that the key was his nose the whole time.
You could say the answer was right under his "nose" all this time
Man became a woodpecker
@@kucingcing No? It is his nose.
@@kucingcingSir do you have a fundamental lack of spatial understanding. How can his nose be under his nose? Joke fail
It made me so happy, such a wholesome moment.
I'm calling it, Allan's scooter got stolen while he was in the electronics shop
In CRIMESVILLE? how delightfully PREPOSTEROUS
And it’s probably returned bc they only needed to borrow it
I’m sure whoever took it needed it more than Alan so it’s ok
was Alan the bike cuck all along?
Double or nothing Mr. Boss's reward ends up being either a new scooter or he somehow gives him his scooter back.
The argument between him and the worker is what got me 😭
The escalation to a shouting match, and with Alan of all people, got me close to crying from laughter.
And the way Alan got that smug attitude at the end was the cherry on top
Made my day!
We will all be Alan in that situation one day.
That scene gave me like PTSD from my last day working at Walmart.
literally every character design so good
Omg, it's everyone's favorite guy
hello
dude you should really do a smiling friends recap
bwuh
The manager looks like your artstyle when he’s in the background
I love the clicking noise that that beautiful elderly man's nose makes when fixing stuff
I swear the noise definitely sounds like a tongue clicking XD
The enthusiasm in his voice while he’s clicking everything was surprisingly wholesome. Considering what happened the last time someone’s nose got a segment to it, this ended great.
Oddly satisfying
Yeah I agree. That's one of my favorite things about the whole clip
The spontaneous rapid movement oddly gets you hooked too. 😁
I love the little kiss charlie gives pim

Hearing Tomar scream with that character rattles my bones, now I know what it's like when he yells at Zach for not voice acting good enough
I didn’t even realize it was him until I saw this comment lmao

@@moldman5694 Yes, I was delicious
@@valance10 Ah yeah, checking back the Century Egg is slightly pitched down
The "father's jewel" voice
Goddamn, that argument between him and the employee got me riled up.
Alan's smugness at the end made me uncomfortable too. He's completely unaware of the toxic work environment but it only fuels his own entitlement.
@@knuclear200x Alan's a selfish character, so makes sense. He's adorable and I love him, but he hates anyone he finds "annoying."
@@knuclear200x Nah, the worker was being needlessly hostile towards him. While he wasn't doing a good thing by antagonizing him while leaving, he wasn't being entitled. He was giving back the hard time the worker gave him in a much less negative way.
I do love how everyone is flawed equally including Alan.
@@chuckingreaper8654 So he made it worse, then. Yeah, that just makes it worse.
0:41 I love how he immediately threatens allan out of nowhere
🙄🙄🙄🙄Yeah, that’s something you don’t ever say to a customer. I know this guy is trying to stack the shelves. But still, there’s literally no reason to lash out at somebody. Funny how the boss is right there put him in his place as soon as things get out of control. This guy does belong at psych ward or better off in prison.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I mean the manager did say he came from a psych ward
Theyre both staged actors lol.
The good ending:
"I'm sorry, sir. I have to complete stocking this shelf right now. If you wish immediate assistance, please see my boss at the desk."
"Alright, I understand. I'll go do that."
I just now realized that there’s probably going to be a pattern of Alan trying to be reasonable with irrational people who like to escalate things for no apparent reason
@@umamifanIt’s like Curb, except Alan’s probably reasonable more often than Larry David.
@@umamifan Hard to say. Within 3 minutes of the clip Alan has the paperclips and is probably going back to Mr. Boss.
@@FurnaxIkki Oh I don't mean this episode, I mean in the entirety of the series. The first time we seen Alan on his own, he meets the guy in the wall who is bothered by him. And this time, Alan is again by himself, but is also met with rudeness by the employee. I don't know for sure, but the fact that this happened twice under the same circumstances makes me feel like this is going to be a running gag.
@@umamifan I think it has to do with the comedy beats of this weird neurotic character suddenly being put in a situation where he seems like a reasonable normal guy
It's so surreal to see Alan yell because of how quiet he usually is but it's so hilarious
Well remember the purple guy who lives inside the walls. This is what l would’ve happened had Alan decided to argue with the dude
Alan was also yelling during the brazil episode
Glad to see Tomar is hiring his old victims. Really trying to give back
No it’s a power move, he’s displaying his dominance over them by hiring them as underlings

0:17 I love how the boss says, "It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you" despite never saying it was going to be a surprise 😂
thats what im saying, bro legit never said it was a surprise, just that it was “special”
Weird that Alan didn't call him out on it
no one's talking about the face mr. boss makes??
It’s a mini version of Mr. Boss
Literally thought the same thing 😂
1:32 can't help but giggle seeing Alan being gleeful he got that angry worker in trouble
Dude got himself in trouble. Working retail sucks but he could have just listened first
That argument was the most realistic portrayal of arguing with someone who wants to start something over absolutely nothing. I love the dialogue in this show.
The Display for "Clipless Paper" is such a great background detail
That's what you get for being rude, Armso. Dude just wanted to ask a quick question.
Right he just wanted to ask a small question.
he's probably recovering from his time at the psych ward
But the worker was busy dude
@Depuree dude was impatient. All he had to do was let Allan finish his question and tell him no. It's not like he was stopping him from stacking.
Allans very own episode.
My favorite character.

I also like how, if you’ve seen their previous work over the years, which character designs are Zach’s or Michael’s and see how different they are from each other
I like how Mr. Boss admitted that curling his fingers hurts a lot despite us expecting him to be fine with these weird finger movements by now.
He maybe bipolar but he's still human
I think Zach discussed that one of the big premises of the show is that despite looking like cartoon characters, they're just regular people who still get hurt normally. 😊
@@ProtoAlphafunniest example being if you hit one of these characters on the head really hard with a blunt object they'll probably die or have a seizure
I find it funny how happy Charlie looks, meaning that the one time we don’t see his adventure is the time he’s enjoying his job
I have a feeling this is just the A plot of an episode and the boys will eventually intersect with Alan after some kind of wacky thing happens.
Idk why but it kinda reminds me of moral orel for some reason
0:48 The little detail of Allan glancing back at the manager to check if he sees what's happening when the worker gets in his face is a really nice touch.
I know. It really adds that extra sense of realism to the situation. It was like Alan was thinking to himself "What, seriously? Is this really happening right now? Is nobody gonna say anything?" This has happened to me more times than I care to remember. That exact same situation, when I'm just trying to run errands.
0:29 i really like how the actor just loses the mr boss voice entirely for this joke.
I've never heard Marc M sound that normal-sounding before
It's like his normal voice is the weird one
I like to think he actually did break his finger in the VA booth and broke character.
Fun fact: Cusack, voice of Pim, also voices Alan!!
I know.
We know.
I forgot about that factoid
I did not know.
Oh, you're so right, dariushcreates. I forgot about that factoid
Allan is genuinely one of the realest characters I’ve ever seen
He like most of us😂
I love how at 2:45 Allan's giving the storeowner side-eye. Even getting the paperclips for free, he's still annoyed
Alan raising his voice at the worker feels relatable.
2:00 Alan is just solving normal problems, instead smiling problems.
They could ask him to go buy groceries and I'd still be entertained
probably why he's a smiling friend, he saved this guy's business by total accident
Bro the manager has no arms and thats why he puts so much pressure on the 6 arms guy💀💀💀
Priceless.

User awesome.
The little click mixed with the genuine surprise sound is 10 times funnier than it has the right to be
I love how Allan isn't a flat character. He just acts like that in the office because it's a pretty chill place.
I love how Alan is a socially awkward character but can't help to become normal because everyone around him is way more weird.
i love that allan has the most explosive temper despite usually being the calmest one, makes him so fun lol
this guy deserves a show of his own
Alan was the best character from the start. I love him more and more with each passing second.
In the next few seasons he might. Maybe like 2027/2028
Mr. Boss breaking character talking about how he hurt his finger is gold
the triple middle finger 😭 1:40
Nah bro that's wild
This probably might be a one-off since this a "a solo Alan Adventure!" but having more recurring characters like the Mr frog and the worker is what makes this show so much more fun with how they interact with main cast and the plot
It’s crazy how many unique characters they create every episode so they don’t have to have the same ones returning all the time. And the new characters are all just as funny as the last
which other episode did the worker appear in? i don’t remember
I don’t member that worker from another episode😶
@@jamblastwizard kinda mis-worded it but i would like the worker TO be a recurring character, like Mr Frog since we visit the same set locations many times so i thought it'd be cool
@@Sir_QuirrelI hope the worker ends up being a Larry type character from gumball, where he works like 50 different jobs and single-handedly keeps the economy running in the city the Smiling Friends are in.

Shout out to that business owner who would gladly direct Alan to competition when he couldn't help him
"The F are they called again?"
Gotta love the other preview for this episode unnecessarily bleeping that out.
Good thing they cut away from the worker after the containers fell on him, otherwise they would have had to show what Tomar does to what he calls his "peons" when they make a mistake at work

I like how Alan is described by Charlie and Pin as a “wacky character” when he’s the second most sane person and is playing the straight man in this one
1:07 Look Tomar its you.
I absolutely love that the excuse for getting Pim and Charlie out of the episode is just "Hi Allan! Bye Allan!"
I like how Alan's way of speaking is Michael Cusack imitating an American accent
Zach should voice a character with his imitation of an Australian accent
I like how they don't just have the awkward realistic conversation. They introduce the 6-armed worker's boss and from the way he's being treated it's totally understandable why someone would be that standoffish and angry. The show doesn't stop to point this out and have a moment of understanding for Alan, either, it's just there for people to pick up on if they're paying a bit of attention. Details like that in shows and movies are the kind of stuff I absolutely love.

The armless manager just sitting at the computer...
He is using psychic manager powers to type the computer
Maybe he controls it with his eye movements like Stephen Hawking.
First the guy in the walls, and now the needlessly aggressive worker at the store. Alan seems to have a way when it comes to finding weird unreasonable people.
I love Allan's response to helping that old man, not "that was easy" but "that was annoying" like seriously Allan, why do you even work at the Smiling Friends?
Probably because Glep got it for him.
401k and halfway decent benefits (rennisance men episode)
Allan yelling is like hearing your chill parents have a violent argument
I like how the sound of turning things on is just a tongue click
I love that Alan barely said anything to the store employee and the employee reacted with extreme hostility
Armzo definitely talks the way retail workers wish they could talk to customers.
I love how it's not just that he can tinker with the tech but his nose somehow has the ability to instantly fix anything it touches. The bit in the beginning with the six arms was pretty funny but I love when a bit can be hilarious whilst also having a positive outcome.
loving the previews but this is quite literally a third of the entire episode lol
Its still enough to keep us curious on what happens next somehow
Hearing Alan raise his voice was strangely weird.
Relatable, too.
I like Alan's character. Like his appearance is constantly subverted by how he acts.
That tongue clicking noise when the shop keep pokes things with his nose makes the joke at least 75% funnier than it has any right to be
That worker totally deserves that, if you're being overworked and mistreated by your boss, you take it up with him, not with strangers that just wanted help...
To be fair Alan should have tried to find a product first before asking for help. Asking for help without trying to find a product first is literally disrupting the worker
@@tomxaider2058 What?
@@tomxaider2058no? Employees in stores like that are literally THERE to help the customer. Thats like 90% of your job
@@zachtemoro2116 you don’t work in retail you don’t understand. I still have no idea what Allen's perosnality is suposed to be .
I really like all the very fast paced kisses in this show. Pim did a bunch in season one and it’s funny to see that continued, but now with Charlie.
Alan has verbal feud with struggling employee, is happy.
Alan witnesses a miracle, is annoyed.
This is going to end up like an episode of Regular Show where Alan’s going to end up battling for his life against the paper clip mafia
Alan's "Hey, goodbye, Spider" killed me
I’ve noticed Alan is the only person the boss will act normal around because he can’t surprise him
Pim and Charlie's brief entry and exit into the first scene was unnecessarily cute and I love it
Im so glad Allan is getting his own episode he deserves it
