@@1Cheytown Lindsey’s “I’m So Afraid” is complete, utter transformational meditation. As a Yoga instructor, if you clear the mind, I’m dragged over jagged rocks in blind darkness
I am still listening to this in September 2024. The musical legends from back in the day are slowly dying. The 70's and 80's had the BEST music EVER. The USC MARCHING BAND still plays that song to this day
And but you've got to admit that was a long time ago, so this is all okay. That was 30 years ago, so now it's a different time and this is all okay, but I love your comments.Thank you
Christine McVie passed late last year and the other 3 are aging quickly - one of the best bands ever in spite of their internal issues. This was their best concert in my opinion
They literally sacrificed everything for the band and success !!!!!! Stevie never had children. But through it all they've survived....Always loved them. Their heyday was when i was in high school and yrs after....for me 73ish throughout the rest !!!!!! But i can't get over how if u love FWM and know of all their struggles within the band and life how Lindsey and Stevie constantly looked at each other throghout each song especially the ones that were about their relationship and ones written about what they personally were going through.....Stevie still sexy as HELL and they're like almost making goo goo eyes over each other while singing starring into each others eyes....... Lindsey is happily married at least back then and and not trying to even hook up w/ her but IMO NOTHING can compare to that
@@rickbengle7618 Yeah, I'll give it 50/50 theatrics vs. real emotions. There's no way some real feelings didn't slip in there, especially when Stevie & Lindsey were literally writing songs AT each other.
I wondered the same thing and I began to wonder if they were asked to stay seated due ti filming and cameras in the audience plus what was to come later with the marching band? But it really stood out how everyone was seated, I would think as a performer it would be strange to not have people up out of their seats and feeding off their energy.

I'm glad this magic was captured at least once while they were all still with us. Those last few moments of "Silver Springs" were so palpable. Gives me goosebumps every time I see it. Also, the ending of "Landslide" was tear jerking.
As a black teenager growing up in the 70s our choice of radio stations were limited. So...listening to other stations is how I was introduced to most of their songs. Didn't know the name of the group until years later. Caught this performance watching channel 11, a PBS TV station in Chicago....I listen/look at the entire performance, at least, once a week...LOVE IT...Christine...BAD AS H*LL...❤❤❤

John McVie was something else... Christie was an angel. As a guitarist, my opinion, Lindsey is someone that words can't describe. The whole band were on another level... every single one of them, Mick, Stevie... all of them. Beatles schmeatles. ...

This is the best sounding concert I ever heard. Linsay Buckingham improved his guitar drastically over the years. The singers voices aren't over processed like in the original recordings. Everything is just better.
I think nearly all of the songs from this performance are better than the studio versions… and that’s saying something with how phenomenal the studio versions are. Go Your Own Way, Landslide, Silver Springs, Tusk, Big Love etc all far outshine their studio counterparts.
This is where Lindsey’s voice just wows me, 33:00; he goes from a really high note and spirals down into an amazing plunge of harmonious low notes! Very few rock singers have done ANYTHING like this. His voice is outstanding, his range from high to low amazing. “Bleed To Love You” is an incredible masterpiece.
the level of musicianship with these guys is over 9000. And this is a live performance! 10/10 perfect show. Those who were there that day is so blessed to have witness this performance in the flesh. Im so envious! X)

Absolutely, right? Most talented group of superstar musicians in one band well, you could argue that also for now, now, with this breath of talent, I was gonna say Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones, but and maybe I'm just calling favorites Fleetwood Mac number 1 all time for me and the dance has to have it. Above the rest. For me at least
So much talent.. so many different characters… so many broken hearts. Mick and John, the shadow bosses, each one in his own style… Christine’s finesse and sad eyes, and when Lindsay and Stevie look at each other… and when they kissed… Definitely an unparalleled band
The way Stevie sings Gold Dust Woman..... chills She is still pissed off ! What a powerful version You can hear the hate (when she wrote it all those years back)

That really sums up Fleetwood Mac
Hell yaa !!! 🤘🏾
R.I.P Christine... you will be forever missed!
a Cristina seria a outra mulher que eu vi acompanhada a cantar?
@@worldtrap82 Yes, Christine McVie, keyboardist vocalist, songwriter, ex-wife of the bassist.
Anyone else cry watching and listening to Christine McVie sing Songbird to close? Wow! She had such a gentle spirit. I loved this concert! Thank you to @raphaelwellerson5114 for sharing this DVD. This was a real treat!☮️❤️🎶
Thank you Leah for sharing😂🎉
Love Fleetwood Mac - Rumours - since the 80s til today '24.
I'm proud owner of this amazing concert on DVD and watching online ...

RIP Christine McVie
Greetings from Germany
This kids.. is how it's done.
Write great songs that last 50 years then own them when you perform. ❤
My penpal was a baby lmao
You ain't kiddin ..
That Big Love performance by Lindsey is so good. Such a underrated guitarist.
I agree. One of the best ever.
For me it was all about I'm So Afraid that really showed his talent.
My favorite guitar clip ever. His finger picking is criminally underrated. He's right there at the top of the heap.
Was about to comment on that. He's a master of fingerstyle.
@@1Cheytown
Lindsey’s “I’m So Afraid” is complete, utter transformational meditation. As a Yoga instructor, if you clear the mind, I’m dragged over jagged rocks in blind darkness
That ending hits differently now. Rest in peace, Christine McVie.
What do you mean
@@carterminter7814 Christine McVie passed away a couple years ago. Now watching this feels like her swan song.
ouch. It really does.
I am still listening to this in September 2024. The musical legends from back in the day are slowly dying. The 70's and 80's had the BEST music EVER.
The USC MARCHING BAND still plays that song to this day
It's still September 2024 where I live but yes, this is an amazing concert :D
@BerthaWelshie Hahahaha! My mistake. I just fixed. Good catch. Thank you Bertha.
Me too❤
I like your comment and I think that's amazing.I didn't know Usc was still playing Task t u s k
And but you've got to admit that was a long time ago, so this is all okay. That was 30 years ago, so now it's a different time and this is all okay, but I love your comments.Thank you
Is there any doubt this is one of the GREAT live performances of all time. Fleetwood Mac at its peak!
Totally agree with you.Totally agree.I search hundreds of live performances. This was the best one I could find
@MsCardio1
No doubt whatsoever!
Lindsey is happily married at least back then and and not trying to even hook up w/ her but IMO NOTHING can compare to that
@@gbrown4x4 I think much of that was theatrics.... afterall they KNOW their own mythology. They were playing to it
I'd say some of their best writing was a product of those issues, not in spite of them.
Other 3??? You mean 4!!!
@@rickbengle7618 Yeah, I'll give it 50/50 theatrics vs. real emotions. There's no way some real feelings didn't slip in there, especially when Stevie & Lindsey were literally writing songs AT each other.
Calling from 2024, just to say that this performance of especially Silver Springs is pure magic.
Yes, it's probably it certainly. One of fleetwood max best live concerts
The sheer emotion between Lindsey and Stevie here is beautiful and heartbreaking
This is my favorite Fleetwood Mac concert ever
How can people watch this concert sitting down? I’d be dancing like crazy! Damn, what a band!!!!!
I wondered the same thing and I began to wonder if they were asked to stay seated due ti filming and cameras in the audience plus what was to come later with the marching band? But it really stood out how everyone was seated, I would think as a performer it would be strange to not have people up out of their seats and feeding off their energy.
I hate when people sit. I went to see Roxy Music and everyone was sitting. So sad.
Wow right!! I watch in amazement wondering if I lack culture as I am thinking get the eff out of your chair and dance on it!!
@@ellen7886 I think they cut some scenes off they keep saying thank you and have a good night when the show isn’t even over.
the best band
i am 23 years old
Christine was a treasure, we were blessed to have her RIP
Sorry, she's dead.I disagree , I think she was terrible
@@ClydeHUC how so? she wrote and sang over 50 songs for Fleetwood Mac.She wrote for the Rumors album and it won a Grammy. music is definitely objective...but just saying...you may have to elaborate your opinion
@@ClydeHUC dumbest comment of the century - do your homework and then do better.
I agree
Buckingham's guitar playing and vocals are on point during this whole concert.
Christine McVie.....What a beautiful voice and amazing musician! The world was a better place for having you! RIP 🙏
I didn’t even know she passed on Nov 30, 2022 until I read your comment. “Say You Love Me” is a favorite Fleetwood Mac song of mine.
I’m still having a hard time getting over Christine 😔😔 I never will ❤ RIP CMV❤️
This has to be one of the best performances I’ve seen of them.
💯
@@aprilwilson102 Yes, i love it, although a lot of it is pre-recorded.
They are older and likely sober. They are truly blessed to have sounded as good as when they did in the 70s.
2025. Drinking alone for the first time. Feeling Stevie for the first time in my life at 40 almost 41. Singing my heart out while my kids are with dad. Whewwwwww. Lots of firsts. And what’s crazier is, I remember watching this live in 98. Loved it but couldn’t appreciate it like I do today. Thank God for TH-cam.
“Songbird” brings me to tears, especially Christine now gone.😢
Me too!😢
Starting my 2025 with this. Love them so much
❤
I'm out here.remembering..and flying on the beautiful wings of this music
This is peak musicianship, talent, songwriting and performance.. It doesn't get any better.
Exactly,I totally agree sir ,for music lovers is what we deeply enjoy by watching and listening to those sounds
This is a totally overwhelming performance from Mick Fleetwood. This is a solid lesson in how to play drums to each and every song.
This concert is how I ever-so-slyly hooked my granddaughter on FM.
I don't care what you paid for your tickets, you got a bargain ! 5 of the most talented people to ever grace ten thousand stages. Christine, you were truly adored by your fans! We'll miss you dearly. Loved you all for many years!
This is my childhood. We had no cable television but had this DVD so it was on repeat. Great memories
How is this not 40 million views? Incredible people forgot what good music is
It was posted about a year ago, but it seems there are more comments all the time - more comments, more watchers. People seem to fall into this concert and realize the intimacy, closeness of band, etc. it’s incredibly unique!
Dunno why, but everytime summer starts, I recall immediately how much I love this band.

It's 2024 and Thank You Fleetwood Mac for the Precious & Bittersweet Memories.

Thanks to all for this video. 🙏
i have seen Petty, Eddie Money, Segar, Willie Nelson, Moody Blues...etc...so many iconic groups....and then theres Fleetwood Mac....
Memories unlike any other...forever & ever.
I'm glad this magic was captured at least once while they were all still with us. Those last few moments of "Silver Springs" were so palpable. Gives me goosebumps every time I see it. Also, the ending of "Landslide" was tear jerking.
Mick Fleetwood is a fantastic drummer. I love watching him play.
Especially them BONGOS he’s a wild man!l love it❤❤❤
Lindsey's outro on "I'm So Afraid"...who else replays it 3x or more? 😍
That's not an outro... That's one of the greatest guitar solos ever made!
@@Renesyseanu OK, it's an outro solo! 😉
RIP Christine Mc Vie A beautiful talented woman !!!
Thank you - beautiful and perfect - its a mood xx (just sat through two days of Christine McVie's estate auction - haunting and beautiful look in - I won 2 jackets - I am a cancer like Christine). Stevie and Christine were yin and yang - the "songbird" and the "dove" - till Chris went home and she "broke the chain" in Nov 2022. Drinking wine to celebrate the win by candlelight - I am 52 my 77 yr old music dad raised me on FM just shared the news of the win with him....thank you for the back ground of perfect music whilst I shared the news....XX
This concert is amazing. How does it not have more views
John McVie was something else... Christie was an angel. As a guitarist, my opinion, Lindsey is someone that words can't describe. The whole band were on another level... every single one of them, Mick, Stevie... all of them. Beatles schmeatles. ...
Remember watching this back in 97 and it still gives me chills to this day. What a band
Watching Fleetwood Mac is like seeing a movie but with the ears. Many stories to Tell, emotions high and beauty everywhere. 💜
My wife and I at Rosemont Horizon 11/20/1997
Great show
So random stranger, are you concerned with? What random strangers are concerned with you?Random stranger, you understand you online. You're a random stranger, a person in the world.Nobody gives one shit about you wake up
This is the best sounding concert I ever heard.
I think the chain is better as well!! Cant stop listening to it
There’s some studio overdubs on this recording.
Yeah, this performance was set up to be recorded live, and some overdubs were made afterwards to enhance the sound.
I love the way Mick Fleetwood looks like he's always having fun. He really puts his heart in his drums
Animal on The Muppets had to be modeled on him, lol.
Mesmerising in 1997.. still is in 2024 👌
This is where Lindsey’s voice just wows me, 33:00; he goes from a really high note and spirals down into an amazing plunge of harmonious low notes!
Agreed mate.I searched long and hard through hundreds of live concerts and found this was the best live one that I found. There are many other great ones to your point.Absolute magic
This is the concert I showed my 16 yr old granddaughter. She’s hooked! It is the best of the best of Fleetwood Mac, cameras closer, FM seemingly in functional relationships that night!
We are so lucky to have experienced a music generation that will never be matched as long as life will be on Earth.
Best reunion ever
Christine McVie’s voice was beautiful.
I fell in love with Lindsey after watching this fabulous concert. He is just such a genius, so talented, beautiful and perfect. I just love him.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You cut in with an ad right in the middle of a song.... You are unconscionable.
Mine cut in just as Don't Stop started. Livid.
Just pure magic. The whole concert. Lindsey is just perfection.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amen to that!
I fell in love with Lindsey after watching this fantastic concert. He is amazing, beautiful and so talented. How wrong Fleetwood Mac were to fire him. They are unfortunately no more, but Lindsey continues on.!❤❤❤❤
Even 20 years after breaking up, you could still see the love that Stevie and Lindsey had for each other in their eyes. Love is eternal, even if partners "go their own way". ❤❤❤
Incredible performance by amazing musicians!! Lindsey Buckingham is just an absolute badass guitarist!!
And still handsome!
Man this is great. i'm 30 now but my dad showed this dvd to me when I was probably 8 or 9 and to this day is one of my favorite albums of all time.. just bought a new copy and shipped it to my dad as a random gift I cant wait to rewatch w him

I agree! Probably one of the best live concerts ever filmed!
My girlfriend and I had the DVD and watched it on loop as teenagers ❤
Let's give it up for Fleetwood Mac who's out there? 😊
The energy that these 5 people bring to the stage is just astounding. It’s like 20 years of friendship, struggles and relationships are send out during this concert and all that energy and love ends up in the goosebumps on your arms❤

Well no one at one point, no one thought this incarnation of Fleetwood Mac would EVER performed together again until this performance BECAUSE of Christine.
First watched this back in 97, snippets of it on and off since, just watched its entirety, forgot Songbird was the closure and yes, it emotionally threw me too!

I love how at ease McVie was while performing Everywhere. Not even breaking a sweat. Amazing
She strikes me as a serious person. Doing her job and doing it well. she s the only musician who gives me that vibe
Happy Golden Anniversary!!! 50 yrs ago Fleetwood Mac made best decision ever asking Lindsey Buckingham to join & Lindsey said Stevie too, package deal. Lucky us!!! 🎉

@ClydeHUC Can't argue with you, Clyde. Just look at the number of hit songs, album sales, filled stadium seats to capacity, etc. 👍👍
Best wishes for Clyde. Have a Happy New Year, stay healthy as much as you can. Peace,Brother. ✌️
BEST…..LIVE….CONCERT…….EVER! Keep in mind, they are in their late 40’s/early 50’s here. Absolutely Amazing!
So much talent.. so many different characters… so many broken hearts. Mick and John, the shadow bosses, each one in his own style… Christine’s finesse and sad eyes, and when Lindsay and Stevie look at each other… and when they kissed… Definitely an unparalleled band
Watch 'Bleed to love her' again in this video. It's not Stevie that Lindsey is looking at.
The way Stevie sings Gold Dust Woman..... chills
She is still pissed off !
What a powerful version
You can hear the hate (when she wrote it all those years back)
Thankyou Fleetwood Mac for making my life and millions of others more enjoyable.👏
Lindsey is amazing on that guitar. Christine excellent voice (RIP), Stevie so powerfull, Mick amazing on drums and John nice bass guitar.
Young people must listen to Fleetwood Mac's songs. Those are poetry!!!

What a fitting tribute to a great singer/songwriter. I loved the whole concert but teared up when Christine sang Songbird at the end. RIP Christine McVie "the songbird".
Yeah. Such a sweet an beautiful song.
This show is perfection! Lindseys passion and having the ability to express his emotions in such an honest breathtaking performance along with the band and the intimate moments with Stevie make this one of the best concerts available!
Thank God they captured it well❤💯👍🇺🇸
There's no doubt what you're saying is correct?I mean, that's one of their best live concert performance ever.It really is I searched 250 live performances from Fleetwood Mac and put that 1 on my homepage.I think it's one of their very best
For people in my generation, we have every single musical note internalized permanently and to see it brought to life by the band itself is an extraordinary gift.Thank you

This music will last until the end of time 😊😊😊
Silver Springs in this version always brings tears into my eyes. But I could nevertheless listen to it eyery day.
This is Fleetwood Mac whose members are at the pentacle of their careers and skill as musicians. It was such an amazing concert! Sparks were flying …still…after 20 years..and still. I wish things would’ve worked out with Stevie and Lindsey but they’ve made a lot of great music together. Lindsey’s work on the guitar is way underrated. His hands fly…
