I'm in my seventies and I have seen all the great bands of the seventies and eighties . From Stevie Wonder to U2. But i never saw Fleetwood Mac. I have been a huge fan but somehow I missed them. RIP Christine.

I am a 62 yo man that first heard FM in the early 80s. I friend just loved Stevie, but I didn't, but after hearing it alot, it really grew on me, and I love Fleetwood Mac! I've listened to their old stuff and read the stories which gave me a clear picture through the lyrics. Silver Springs is my favorite.

Silver Springs was Stevie's retort to Go Your Own Way. Stevie thought the lyric "Shacking up is all you want to do." meant her sleeping around. "Shacking up" means living together unmarried. I think Lindsey wanted to marry her, and she said no. His heart was broken. Still, Stevie took it wrong. She stared him down on Silver, and Lindsey had to keep playing. She wanted it on Rumours, and Mick vetoed it. Lindsey left the first time because he didn't want to go through her craziness. Of the 5, Stevie is my, by far, my least favorite. Also, a stage hog.

Stevie and Christine were yin and yang - the "songbird" and the "dove" - till Chris went home and she "broke the chain" in Nov 2022. Drinking wine to celebrate the win by candlelight - I am 52 my 77 yr old music dad raised me on FM just shared the news of the win with him....thank you for the back ground of perfect music whilst I shared the news....XX
