Malone was a three time mvp. Shaq was mvp once. If shaq could shoot from more than 3 feet away he may have actually been better than Malone.

Mad Dog was BREWING when Stephen A was talking 😂😂I love how he defends the older generation. That’s how I’ll be defending Steph and this generation in 30 years haha
It’s hypocritical because he says Shaqs competition was minimal but would not speak on the people Wilt Chamberlain played
If I have the number one all time draft pick I'm taking Magic and not looking back , does that make him the G.O.A.T.( maybe / maybe not ) but I do believe he has the most irreplaceable set of tangibles ( 6'8" w true point guard skills ) and intangibles ( killer instinct , winners will ) of any top 10 player .
He puts wilt ahead of Shaq and then uses the argument that Shaq played against bums, like wilt wasn’t playing against the worst players in nba history.

People absolutely forgot how dominant Shaq was. There was simply no answer to him in his prime. 3 straight chips to prove it
SHAQ GOT DOMINATED BY HAKEEM... Without those 3 year's with the Lakers. When did shaq actually dominate
Shaq lost to a Kareem in his prime one series when he was a baby. No offense, but if you are asking when did Shaq dominate, you clearly did not watch basketball regularly in the late 90s and 2000s. Loved this. Absolutely amazing. This was like old school sports talk radio. Loved Stephen A and Jay Wills reaction priceless. 😂
The argument they used against Wilt Chamberlain and the level of competition is the same argument Mad Dawg brought up about Shaq and the centers he played against in the finals and SAS & J.Will said it didn’t matter
Yes, J Will contradicts his own logic saying that Wilt isn't above Shaq and that Shaq not playing against any all-time great centers in their primes doesn't matter. Smh the Wilt slander stating that Shaq was better and that Wilt isn't top 10 all-time is ridiculous.
By far... the greatest Mad Dog take of all time. I've been watching this for days now... LOLLLLLLLLL
Tim Duncan reaction was priceless. Even tho he a PF. Just their reaction is hilarious 😂🤣
Mad dog had them for a moment there 😂
Gotta respect Tim ni
He played just as much Time as center as pf
Tim Duncan is better honestly they are right next to each other on my list

I appreciate Mad Dogs contributions because he forces the newer heads to do their homework. He’s a lunatic with his takes but he’s necessary to the discussion

💯
"lunatic" is the perfect adjective 🤣🤣
he is really good
but he was right about Moses alone I'm a big shaq fan and a laker fan Malone was a better player than shaq shaq was one dimensional and for his size he should have led the league n rebounding every year and I agree time duncan beat shaq more times head to head then shaq beat him

I've said it over and over. Mike, Lebron, Kareem are in the goat conversation. Kobe and Steph both deserve to be considered and in the conversation. No one is saying they are better or the greatest. But they have certain accolades and abilities that warrant them being considered. I don't know why this triggers people so hard.
There are levels of GOATness Steph is in the Kobe, Shaq, Tim Duncan, Bill Russell, Wilt, Bird, Magic level. Mj, Lebron, Kareem are the top 3 GOAT of the NBA Steph is not there yet.
@@napoleonbonaparte1260 lebron isnt there.
There's the top 3 tier (I won't call it GOAT tier because Jordan is clearly ahead of the pack, LeBron's longevity shouldn't put him over Jordan, that's mostly about medical advancements) and there's the tier right behind it and that's where Steph is. He's top 6-10 but not top 3 unless he can pull off some magic and win a couple more.
@@napoleonbonaparte1260LeBron in that level, but Kobe and Duncan not? 🤣 no man. Just no.
yo this segment had me rolling bruh 🤣🤣🤣
I mean Shaq just opened the discussion, I don’t think he was saying for certain that Steph is the GOAT. I’m not sure why it’s so controversial that he said that. It all comes down to what you value and what your criteria is. Steph Curry changed the game and is a supernova offensive force that game has never seen before. It’s not crazy to say what Shaq said
Just because NBA players suddenly turned into sheep and started shooting endless 3s does not make Steph the goat.
And he didn't trade teams to win😂😂😂 take Lebum out!!!!!
@@jp23xnaw but being in the best point guard era we had seen so far and literally dominating the era is what makes him one of the best players ever do you remember what he did in college and he carried it over to the nba. Before Durant he wasn’t playing with no top tier mvp caliber teammates like all the other great players did💯
What’s the point of opening such discussion when we all know Steph ain’t goat caliber. Why don’t we open such discussion for Giannis or Jokic. It’s stupid. Shaq is just tryna make the headlines, and stupid people are buying it.

I do agree that Hakeem before his back injury was better than any Shaq era. People forget that Hakeem is the reason positionless basketball exist. When all the starter line up was out in a playoff series, Hakeem played all 5 roles and carried the team on his back. Hakeem was destroying David Robinson and Shaq everytime they met up that same season. Hakeem was maybe the only center pulling up from 15, 20,30, and 35 in that era. He is also the one who taught kobe and mike his footwork after kobe tweaked his ankle, he taught him the dreamshake and his post moves and set ups, when mike got older and lost athletism in him his late chicago years, him and Hakeem spent a summer together training. Michael Jordan also said Hakeem and Vernon Maxwell are the only 2 NBA players he had a hard time with, came out his own mouth.

Moses was incredible. It's not that disrespectful.
Why?....Malone was a beast.
Shaq has never lead the league in rebounding, blocks, and only had 2 scoring titles. Yet y’all act like he was the Goliath that Wilt was statistically. Same for Moses who actually have statistics that rival and surpass Shaq. Now I wouldn’t put Moses ahead of Shaq but Wilt was better and had comparable competition at center in the 60’s and 70’s to Shaq 90’s.
Moses was freaky good. Look him up

J Will praying was just hilarious 🤣🤣🤣☠️☠️☠️
I could’ve sworn Nate Archibald was gon get thrown into this debate
Hakeem absolutely was better than Shaq as a center. He was simply far more skilled in every way, and also more athletic, just not as physically large and powerful. Hakeem won fewer rings because Jordan was taking the rings in his era, there were more Hall of Fame Centers to compete with in that era, and Hakeem also had far less help than Shaq had on his teams. Hakeem would only be second to Kareem possibly in a head on match up, and Hakeem would fit the modern game better than any other HoF center of the past. In the modern era, Shaq would still be missing all his free throws while the other team drains 3s all day in return.
No one argued against Mad Dog when he said Hakeem.

Hottest??!! That was the most idiotic basketball take of 2023.
@@Jamthecoolerator i don't really think that was idiotic. There are legit arguments for each center he mentioned. Wilt (was more dominant), Duncan (has more championships and MVPs), moses (has more mvps, 3 vs 1), Hakeem (a better defensive player and had a much better offensive repertoire, can shoot the free throw, can play in clutch and time, beat shaq in the finals), Kareem (more mvps, more championships, more points), and Bill Russell (a lot more championships). There's a legitimate argument for any of those players to be ranked ahead of Shaq. Now do i Agree all those players were better than Shaq? No. But its not anywhere near an idiotic take.
