I not only SMASHED the LIKE but am so happy I finally gave you some $$$ yesterday. I just reinstalled Windows on my fanless Beelink Mini PC (I took a 6 week Linux holiday) and was wondering if there was a more elegant way to show temp than Speccy.

I found this video about a year later as today is 7 Nov 2021. HW Monitor has changed a bit from your video and the settings cog was a bit difficult to locate. At the beginning of the "run sensors" is the cog for settings in the lower right hand corner, to make changes. Also changing colors seems a bit easier as you simply right click the icon and the option is there to change colors... Cheers...

Main issue years ago was that sensors was dependent on hardware, different mobos had different locations. Probably less of a problem these days and programs can decide all this when installing.
I recall reading about this guy who created the similar programs and some mono manufacturers were not forthcoming with this information and wanted NDAs. Also they probably couldn’t guarantee the location will still be the same on next year’s mobo.

Hey Britec... I have a slightly outdated laptop (Acer E5-574G 6GB Ram, Core i5 6200U 2.3Ghz base clock and 2.63Ghz turbo boost with Nvidia 920M 2GB VRam) a couple of months back I updated it to a newer version of Windows 10 and it started having this weird manner of sometimes being able to sleep and Shutdown and sometimes not doing it. By not sleeping I mean it's screen goes pure black with the fan still spinning pretty fast. I have noticed that if I disable my integrated graphics (Intel HD 520) and run it of only the Nvidia GPU it works. The problem is when running of Nvidia only, it tends to really heat up and the sleep option will totally be unavailable. And when ever the display is off to save battery without putting the computer to sleep, what actually happens is the screen will go black but it will still have back-light.
      Things I have tried
      1. Go back to as far as the old windows 10 (2015 update
2 Go to windows 8.1 which fixed the problem but the touchpad wasn't working so I installed the company serial IO and the Company touchpad driver but in this case as soon as the touch apd works, the old problem comes back
      3. Trying different versions of Serial IO drivers
      4. Dual booted the PC with Manjaro Linux and it started working but it was an unfamiliar OS
      5. Different versions of GPU drivers
Please help as this is the only laptop I have right now and is the only laptop I will have for a very long time to come
I have already posted this comment on Theo Joe, LTT and now your channel. This is because I am very desperate... I am sorry for the long comment and also commenting when you're replying. This is because I am in no place where I can easily get another laptop

So through the Co itself, it went to a page asking me for phone, name, business name and more. I found another source and "voila". At 74 I struggle with all of this! Trust me I do and yet an avid gamer with a news ASUS gaming laptop [didn't want a desktop yet!]. The RTX 2070 Super-Q runs hot and so I always want to keep an eye on it. What helps a lot BTW, there is no air exit under the tray but instead on three sides and I set a nice fan blowing besides the tray it sits on which has also 2 fans but just blowing on the bottom solid panel... Hence the fan. Anyhow, very concise, clear, step by step by step! That is a rarity I must say as most Jump the actual physical "what to click on"... Thank You very much.
