❤ Love

    "Add it to which you know tey're wrong"
    io l'ho inresa come:
    "aggiungi che sbagliano"
    ma non ne sarei così certo. Quel "to which" non l'ho proprio capito.

    Very good and very useful as always, but I'd be wary of drawing distinctions between "American English" and "British English". This risks giving a false impression that they're two different languages or dialects when they're not. English is English. Apart from very few words (and some small spelling and punctuation differences), we speak and write the same language on both sides of the Atlantic. Essentially, in spoken English, all that changes is the accent. The differences between English in the UK and the US are even slighter than the differences in standard Italian between Milan and Rome, but we wouldn't talk about "Roman Italian" as distinct from "Milanese Italian" (unless we were referring to the dialects of Romanesco or Milanese).

    • @miriamromeoenglishcoach

      I actually agree with you 100%! English is English. It’s the same language, those are just different accents. But so many people have been complaining and telling me that I should specify that the pronunciations or the words I explain only apply to American English and what not. But I’m totally with you on this one! 😜

      Guarda non saprei risalire all’origine dell’origine. 🤷‍♀️😊

      It’s actually pronounced as if it were spelled “Lester”. I know🤯
      These British city names are very old, but it could help to think that the E between the C and the S is silent (as it often is) and that the C has the same sound as that S so that’s why you don’t hear it. I hope it helps! ☺️
