So many shiny '64.5 through '66 Mustangs are nearly total hack jobs. People forget that although they have always been popular, they were for a period of years just old cars selling mostly to teenagers and first time drivers for a couple of hundred dollars.
Still have my first car, a '66 coupe like this. Bought it from the 2nd owner in 1971. While it needs restored, been sittin in garage since around 1980, compared to this ride it's almost perfect. No disrespect. At least not full project. I was amazed at your project as i can't do any of that. rick in Tennessee
@HotRodGuyGarage Thanks for takin the time to read and reply. I'm 70 now and was just thinkin how the several projects I have out back are probably never gonna get finished. Couple old Corvettes and wife's '66 Mustang convertible. At least looks like you're doin it right. rick in Tennessee
@HotRodGuyGarage Preciate that. I sure miss it also. With over half a million pics and videos from 31 years of publications I hope to get the entire magazine back up just entirely on the internet. Wife got tired and we have 2 granddaughters livin with us plus all the internet ways to advertise was hurtin us but mainly, I guess, our expenses went up with every issue. I would figure out a way to do things more efficiently and the price of something would go up. I'm looking for someone with decent computer skills and a drive to take an interest in the magazine to ,keep it alive AND to make more money than us. We ain't greedy. It will take some time to get goin but my formula will work worldwide just like it did locally. I'm just gonna start uploading pics from cover shots, I usually shot bout 200 or more pics at each one, and see what happens. Plus 40 or 50 years of race and car show and cruise in pictures. A few videos but nothing special. Well, search Accelerator Girls and there are few on the other channel. rick in Tennessee. Formerly "Accelerator rick".
I guess after nearly 60 years you have to expect some accident damage it will be a lot easier fix than the 65 hack job that's for sure looking forward to the video.
After what ive seen on my 65, not surprised. Youll fix it up right, no dought.
Absolutely just a setback
O boy Russ cheers 🥂 😊
😎
Just when you think your getting ahead 😉
😎
Won't see hackers signing off on their work under panels.
Your correct there
You know what to do! Ahh, the car detective discovers another crime. 👍😎
You know it! And the story continues!
I had a 66 that same thing was done to it. They worked harder putting half in. 😢
Absolutely made no sense
@ agree

I smell a fastback conversion, Russ!
I wish I could afford it
What kind of oats does that pony get
Well looks like Iron infused oats is what it needs 😆
Does anything surprise you when it comes to old Mustang?
Nothing much surprises me anymore with them

So, it’s actually an 1/8 panel…. You’ll fix it right😃
Basically 😆 and absolutely
It doesn't look quite as bad as the red '65 was!
It's not at all

Absolutely, another 5 min of work and they could had just swapped another whole panel instead of trying to hack two together
On the plus side, it's more content for the channel.
True
That was dangerous
Could had been
Somebody should have told FORD these cars were going to be around for 60 years plus?
Definitely outlived there projected lifespan
That car is trash
Thanks, everyone needs a dumpster
