Right on! great video man, I got a 2016 Hyundai sonata, acceleration not equal with the pedal pressure takes a min to just pull off gonna change the plugs myself this video was helpful knowing that I’m can do it
Mine isn’t leaking, if I run into this situation in the near future I’ll do one. I use my Sonata for rental on Turo so I’m really on top of all the maintenance.
I like the video very helpful. I have the same car 2016 sonota with the 2.4l. I have a P0301 code for cylinder 1 misfire. I was thinking of replacing the spark plugs. Maybe that would help. What do you think it might be or where should I start? Thank you
Try swapping the coil first. Move the cylinder 1 coil to cylinder 3, delete the code and see if the code follows the place you moved it to. If it does replace the coil. If it doesn’t move change the spark plugs.
My sonata just started shaking when started up the engine light has pop popped on and I took it to autozone to see what’s going on it’s saying something about something I never heard should I start with spark plugs? And I have to put oils in once a week a quart or 2 but we can’t find the leak
These cars have a major problem with oil consumption, either you or have a mechanic remove the solenoid and see if there are metal fragments in the oil screen. If so you should take it to the dealership and have them do a bearing test. You may be able to get a brand new engine for free like I did as they have a major recall on their engines. You won’t find a leak because the problem is internal, I hope this helps you.
@@cleanhandmechanic6325ok so don’t go up there and cuss them out? Because I’ve been dealing with the same exact problem and I’m sick of having to buy big ass containers of oil for a problem that I absolutely did not partake in. I just got this damn car almost two years ago and I’m not rich. I’m a student in college majoring in biology. I don’t have the time to be worried this about nonsense because of a company that can’t manufacture their engines properly.🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ Idiots.
@@Briii. Ask them to do a bearing clearance test on your car and to check if your vehicle qualifies for the recall on the engine, I suggest starting with that

Good info. Definitely follow his advice of not using a drill if you are not 100% comfortable that you won't mess up the threads.
Sometimes slower is faster…
Have you done the gasket repair for 2016 sonata…? Thanks very good instructions

Will do. Thank you.💜
Wink wink
Were your spark plugs pre-gapped?
Yes, nowadays they usually are but it never hurts to double check. The coin to test it cost like a dollar
