So Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.48 is here!
the fifth content update of 2024 arrives as probably the biggest and best yet featuring 5 amazing cars, 4 new events, 5 new engine swaps and a heap of changes.
So for the next video of Gran Turismo 7 I'm bringing you the news of a brand new car which has been revealed for GT7 in a future update, The Genesis X Gran Racer VGT!

I suspect there'll be 2 versions of this, one pitched at the Tomahawk GTS-R with the full 1400 horsepower and the other dropped into Gr.1 and running around 650-700 horsepower
Hopefully they fit this version with brakes.
I’ve never had a problem with this cars braking. It actually brakes nicely.

GT7 is a good game and i play everyweek. But honestly its a shame that GT2 had more cars then GT7. We are missing so many good cars
Unfortunately we're talking cars which 300 polygons in GT1 & GT2 vs cars with 500,000, it's a much bigger job to model cars now
I’m definitely making a new Lightning McQueen paint job with it, even if the front doesn’t look the most accurate it’ll still be a good way to use the curves of the car since it’s so similar in shape to a dodge viper
A Johnny storm wrap would make a ton of sense!!
Such a cool looking race car, but my money's on Circuit Gilles Villeneuve if it does appear in GT7.
I'm very excited for this car. The Genesis VGT is already one of the best VGT's anyway, so a race version will only improve upon that. There is no way this goes into Gr.1 with 1500bhp though. Maybe they will add 2 versions, one with 1500bhp that is the insane race car up there with the Tomahawk's, McLaren and Bugatti, and then like those cars, add a significantly less powerful Gr.1 version so it can be used in a Group. Hopefully the PP will be low enough to downtune it to 800 for Sardegna, though I'm not sure it will be. It's a shame so many people hate this car, because I guarantee that if Genesis made the Gran Berlinetta or the Gran Race a real car, people would love it, but because it's a VGT everyone hates it, which is a shame.
Nah that aero ain't helping it handle better. Kinda disappointed already tbh. I hope other cars are good

I'm hoping for better things from the next update, not just a novelty car that will be popular for a couple of weeks then probably never get used after that. We desperately need NEW track(s), at least two more high payout races for those players that grind credits, mission updates. And finally much needed fixes to sport mode in terms of race numbers, penalty system and the DR system.
A genesis VGT Gr.1 is coming
So I've just come back to GT after well over 10 years. Ive just completed what i would assume is the story mode where the cafe gives you races in certain cars to do to earn other cars. My question is what do i do next? Am i missing something? I feel like i have to check every track to see what races i can do next
Event directory will list all available events for single player, weekly challenges, weekly time trails, sport mode, custom races, online custom races, circuit experiences, licenses & master licenses, create liveries
I went all in for the Platinum. Was really satisfying when I got it. Honestly didn;t think I would. never bothered with a Platinum in any other game but this one really pushes you nicely. Just start saving credits and keep an eye out for some Legendary Cars that only appear every couple of months. In fact, I think there's one of them on sale right now. This channel has some AFK grinds you can use to get the dosh for it before it's sold out. ;-)
I wish I'd thought about the car thing earlier, as it took about a month after I did all the other requirements for the platinum (driving related) before I got the last car I needed.

@@jacksondaniels8169 that's a shame I was quite enjoying a change from F1. Glad I waited until it was on sale. It feels like there's not really any direction to the game once you've completed that first part
Its a gr.1 if my hp idea doesn't sound currect enough its likely 677hp
With all the cool N division projects at Hyundai this would be a major disapointment.
Not sure if you’ve already talked about this in another video but today I saw the K39 reveal from Kimera and it had Gran Turismo banners on it, also there were a few scenes of it racing at pikes peak…
Maybe we are finally getting pikes peak in the upcoming updates?

Warning: The "Plymouth GTX 426 Hemi '71 (1971)", actually this car is already in the Gran Turismo series, made its first appearance in Gran Turismo 2, with the name: "Plymouth Road Runner '71 (1971)". When they add this car to Gran Turismo 7 in a future update, they will name it: "Plymouth GTX 426 Hemi '71 (1971)". This would be one of the cars that could return to Gran Turismo 7 after a long absence from the series.
And also when they add the "Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z '90 (1990)" and the "Pontiac GTO '65 (1965)", they would replace these two cars that appeared in the previous games in the series:
Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z Concept '88 (1988)
Pontiac Tempest Le Mans GTO '64 (1964)
And I also want you to add and design 3 Vision Gran Turismo prototypes from the brands: Alfa Romeo, Ford and Tesla; but with names like this:

Tesla Vision Gran Turismo
All this information has to be read, seen and known by Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital, since they are the creators of the Gran Turismo series and they must take care of this matter. I already said it, I will not repeat it again. Keep this in mind forever and never ever forget it.

Hopefully this version will allow for a livery that will save. I still can't create liveries on the Berlinetta, even after repurchasing it.

@@vvvvel I’ve been playing GT2 recently. The nostalgia and achievable cars due to none of them being 20m without a decent way to make money is quite refreshing
I really dislike VGTs, but I honestly and absolutely despise the race versions.
They completely brake the categories, BoP isn‘t really possible with them and in certain categories they obliterate all other versions.
There should be Gr.3 and Gr.1 without VGTs in them. During certain races, there are more race versions of VGTs compared to real life cars. It not only breaks illusion, it looks completely unfitting and there‘s always one that‘s unexplainably overpowered
And here we go with yet another VGT, and it‘s even one that we already have in game.. oh god..
Unless it’s like the tomahawk with an adjustable gearbox I would never use this car. If you can’t get it under 850pp you won’t be able to use it in VGT races either. Basically it’s garbage
