    This is a great camera, set the focus around 3 to 5 meters and you have a point and shoot street camera that you can take out of your pocket, flip the lock open and take a picture in less tand two seconds ! I have never had issues with the ML version and of know other owners of the ML version who nether have had any issues with the ML version. The Minox 35 ML and the Leica Minilux are some of the very best point and shoot cameras. The Minox for fastnes and the Minilux for the very best optical lens you can get in a point and shoot camera !

    Nice review. The 35's are neat little gadgets, but the reliability kills their enjoyment. I fixed one myself, but I have another two that have intermittent issues regarding shutter not working, or it working only for slow speeds.
    Shame really. When they work, they produce excellent images.

    Hi.. Nice video.. I have 2 minox gt.. I supposed they were faulty... But after buying a tester i realized the batteries were slightly below 6v although the camera showed info on the vf it refused to release. These cameras are quite sensible to low charged batteries..

    Judging distance when zone focusing is also hard even if you have proper depth perception. I usually look on the ground and judge approximately how far my feet are from my subjects feet. Can I touch the person? Would my head touch the person if I lay down on the ground from here, etc. I don't think depth perception is crucial here.

    I got one of these Minox cameras and I paid £5.00 for it from a camera shop in London and it came with the original Minox flash and it works

    How the photometric is done in this cam?

    Okay so I got this cam from my INSANELY rich uncle who buys it without ever using it, he then hands this camera down to me, he bought it in the 1990s. I really want to try to use it but I don't know if it works or not. I put new batteries in but the "power light" doesn't turn on, I haven't tried putting a film in it and try to shoot bcs I don't want to waste a film. Should I just try to put a film in it? I've asked stores to take a look but none of them are brave to do so (I live in Indonesia btw) bcs they say that these cameras are worth a LOT.

    In regards to zone focusing, how hard is that to work with if one has depth perception issues? I have issues judging distance due to my lack of 3D vision (specifically I can't see out of my right eye).

    Nice review, but I'm surprised you didn't mention the difficulty in replacing the mercury batteries these were designed for. What was your solution?

    • @oldcamreview
      @oldcamreview  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Minox 35ml takes a PX 28 lithium or silver battery. No mercury battery on the ML. . Thanks for watching!

    • @KCAPELGAE
      @KCAPELGAE 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Zane Zhou I think ML is the successor for PL as it seems identical, except it goes to asa1600 whereas PL goes only up to 400.
