Green are inlet . Use a 10 mm 12 point socket as a hex will create problems and damage the seal often unnoticeably. I use an aluminium tool I made in the lathe . Check spring length on both inner and outer to ensure within limits for reuse . Ensure any casting flash is removed before final clean from the inside of the surfaces . The D series are often better castings and still have thin casting flash that could break loose during later processes like torquing down the head etc. Dry lube spray anti seize is not so messy and a blob of grease will stick to it when installing the collets (keepers). When assembled you can run some engine oil over the cams before closing up .

If you have an old b16a, please upgrade the lost motion springs from the old piston type to the spring type honda switched to in the mid 90s.
Also always test, even if just with your fingers, that all the springs feel similar. You're welcome.

Why so because the dowel pins opening were suppose to be on the dizzy side not the cam side ?
