Portugal history before Ronaldo: 0 trophies Portugal history with Ronaldo: 2 major trophies That’s like a player forcing USA to win 2 major international trophies. It’s way harder and more impressive compared to someone from Brazil, Germany, Argentina etc.
I agree but it's not just Ronaldo. Portugal has had golden generations since the 90s. Figo, Rui Costa, João Pinto, Paulo Sousa, all were World Champions on the under 20 class. It was just the full teams weren't there when they reached senior years. When Portugal was european champion and later nations cup champions, you couldn't name a player in the starting team who wasn't a world class player. With probably the exception of Eder who actually scored the final goal for the euro champ, everyone else was the type of player that could make it in any team. Ronaldo's winning mentality sure helped but the fact that there was an actual team behind him, was key. Portugal has been creating top talent for a long time and only getting better over time, forming not just the skilked player up front but also playmakers, defenders, forwards, sidebacks, even goalkeepers (although this is not where it excels at they just need to get a couple of good ones). Nowadays Robaldo has lost influence in the national team. You have players like Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Rafael Leão, Gonçalo Ramos, Cancelo, Rúben Dias, António Silva, Vitinha, Diogo Costa, Félix, Gonçalo Inácio and so so many more who aren't even called for the main squad but are on the youth squad (João Neves is the next big thing). It's crazy the ammount of talent such a tiny country has.
@@Kerhuz yes agreed. But that’s the thing. Portugal isnt a powerhouse. Yes they had great players here and there but nvr consistently and more importantly, never all in one generation at every positions. The first “Golden generation” is actually now. That’s mad. Only nw has the squad truly looked like potential World champs. I wld argue though when Ronaldo and Portugal won the Euros & Nations League, yes they had a team. But it’s raw. They still not polish yet. Young and potential. Ronaldo still had to carry them. He literally scored in every round at the euros except the final (coz he was unfortunately injured). That is still very impressive. Nobody put Portugal fav to win for both of that tournament. And now, when they finally polished the young talents and have a squad that looks world class and can potentially be the first full squad Portugese powerhouse, Ronaldo is pushing 40. I will always hold on to the belief that Ronaldo in that Argentinian shirt wld win so much more than Messi ever cld. Everyone can disagree hate me or curse me idc. There's no debate. Ronaldo is Prime. A footballer can't achieve team accomplishments on his own, however this legend has done the impossible in every era, team and position he has played with and without support from the players around him. He is the Goatnaldo CR7.
For me the best version of Ronaldo was 07/08 season….the most complete player I’ve ever seen…free kicks, tricks, dribbling, left foot, right foot, headers, speed, strength, stamina…..he literally won every single individual award available that season and he’s still the only player to ever do that…….he turned into more of a poacher after his knee injury at Madrid…
they forgot to mention his injury in 2014 which kept him out for a long time, and he was diagnosed with a condition called tendinosis which is a injury that gets worse and worse over time, so he had to change his playing style
I commented the same thing in another video ! It's true this is the most important information left out of most documentaries about him which is baffling 😒
What a load of waffle. He can do run 100m sprints, shoot from the parking lot and also jump 3 metres in the air BUT can't run while kicking the ball aka dribble?? Ronaldo fans are something else.
And yet you have these youngsters of today that want high wages and they cant even beat defenders consistently . Ronaldo was toying them all day long. Goat 🔥🔥🔥
It's harder to score in Italy because all the teams know how to defend. Yet CR7 persevered. 19:15 Juve had some questionable calls against them while CR7 was there bit the Ajax team that won was young and an admirable team. CR7 carried Juventus as they had an aging team that dominated the league for a decade but were on the decline. Covid didn't help and then the new Financial Fair Play laws and developing Serie A teams had thing score of a challenge.

What the video didn't mention was that Ronaldo began struggling psychologically outside the pitch as a result of him & Georgina, his girlfriend, losing their newborn son nearing the end of the 21/22 season, and right before the 22/23 season, his daughter fell ill which is why he missed out on 90% of United's pre-season. Instead of the club and Ten Hag, the coach, understanding his situation, it's almost like they didn't believe he was straying from pre-season because of his daughter's illness, which he mentioned in the Piers Morgan interview(y'all should react to that, or watch it on y'alls own perhaps).
@@ad1k594oh, yes, the 2014 injury. Which he could have actually healed had he not gone to the World Cup and played with it. His performances on the pitch weren't too impacted btw, he played a few days after his son's passing and had one of his best games against Arsenal. He was still a monster on the pitch, struggling very much but recovering outside it tho

Before Ronaldo, Portugal had never won a single trophy. Ronaldo gave that to them in 2016, and won the champions league that same season too. The fact Ronaldo won everything possible with two different club teams is amazing. The only trophy he sadly couldn’t win was the World Cup 😢 but at least he gave his country their first ever trophy

People will laugh at this opinion but if Rooney would have looked after himself like ronaldo and messi he would have been on the conversation too. English culture got the best of Rooney with all the drinking, smoking, takeaway food and even brothels 😂
As the video describes, Ronaldo adapted his game from being a trickster and trying to do it all himself to popping up in the right spot for those close range goals. If you ask me, that was the only way he was able to keep up with Messi stats wise 🤷🏾♂️ can’t deny greatness but I would about 2006-2013 was my favourite version of Ronaldo
He had to work his ass off for all this literally, no free passes whatsoever. He did the same in all the clubs in term of goals, all top clubs/legues. He could have easily got alot more goals and made life more easy if he stayed in one team all the time like Real Madrid or United like some players do lol, but he challenged himself and overcame everything everywhere he went even if all were and still is against him, thats why he is the GOAT forever!

Even though Messi is my GOAT I do believe that CR7 is arguably the most influential player of all time. Growing up we admired Messi but we all wanted to be Ronaldo. You clearly haven't watched him at all then 😅 in the last game, for example, if the other dude did not do a handball (which the ref didnt even gave a pen), he would've scored a bicycle kick... At 39 years old 👍🏼
He’s not Top 5, He is The GOAT
This man will forver be my goat, the reason I fell in love with the game, an inspiration for my life motivating my passion
Fact
Same For me since 2005. Im glad hes gotten where he has
Ronaldo was a diamond at Man Utd...The number 7 shirt has a legacy at United. The kind of pressure 18 year old Ronaldo had on his shoulders coming to United and being given the number 7 shirt was unimaginable
my fav era is When he transition from a trickster to a total machine. because he still have that skill moves, speed, power. basically everything..
Cristiano Ronaldo was in his prime for 15 years lol, it's absolutely hilarious how consistently insane he has been for two decades straight.. Greatest Of All Time. The Michael Jordan of football!
Thanks for the comment my guy
Messi Never exist. Stop crying 😂
Messi is the equivalent of Michael Jordan and Lebron James of Football. Ronaldo is the Kobe Bryant of Football.
There are like at least 3 players better than Ronaldo in football history including Pele, Maradona, and Messi. So Ronaldo can't and will never be the GOAT of football. Maybe in Real Madrid and Portugal.
@@AlxThSeal Keep telling yourself that you fatherless clown.
90% of managers pick Messi over Ronaldo including Mourinho who is Portuguese and coached Ronaldo in the past.
Imagine thinking that a player who has never played a WC final in his life is "GOAT"? Or 0 International POTT or 0 WC KO goals/assists. You should admit your clown-self in a mental asylum. That is where Ronaldo fans belong. Chimpanzees could do better than you and I'm not even lying
why did you delete your comment??
Portugal history before Ronaldo: 0 trophies
Portugal history with Ronaldo: 2 major trophies
That’s like a player forcing USA to win 2 major international trophies. It’s way harder and more impressive compared to someone from Brazil, Germany, Argentina etc.
Appreciate the comment
Ronaldo in his prime with no help and constant “villain” persona push unto him by media, Fifa, fans achieves sm and broke sm records. He dnt have the privilege to debut in a world class club with Ronaldinho, Eto etc. and have them gifted him his first champions league🙏
@@TheGhostUchiha7 Yep. Not counting that Ronaldo got robbed of a couple ballon d'or because Messi was the favourite. At the time, a Portuguese winning a ballon d'or was something of a shock... A Portuguese? Not a brazilian or an argentinian? Nonsense!
Even today he scored a hatrick For al nassar and he just one a Trophy 2 weeks ago. He is 38 and still playing really well. Still banging goals 🔥🔥 I also wish this video showed his international stats too. Highest international Goal scorer and many other records.
Good to have you back guys, l really missed you folks. Much love from Germany. Heeey yoooo Mookie,.#Hala Madrid
Appreciate it family
his prime will never end. inn all club he have a prime. now still going prime time with al naser. ❤
in Africa we recognise CR7 as the ONE TRUE GOAT.
You’re alone there mate
In reality Messi is the goat
Africa doesn't recognize Ronaldo as the GOAT, wtf are you talking about?
Nah buddy
Yeah you’re right 🫡
His whole career is amazing but starting in Portugal to about 2006 he was still developing but after 2007 he was in his prime when most would be around 27 28 until they hit it he was 22 haha.
🥇🇵🇹♒️⚽️🤴🏻♾️
Simply but 🐐
Greatest and most lethal scorer of all time! 🐐
The wink has been scrutinized for years. Some say he was winking at his teams as they were telling him to calm down, as a "don't worry about me, I'm okay" kind of wink.
Cristiano Ronaldo never left his prime.
Great reaction. I’d like for y’all to react to more informative videos on legendary players like this.
they forgot to mention his injury in 2014 which kept him out for a long time, and he was diagnosed with a condition called tendinosis which is a injury that gets worse and worse over time, so he had to change his playing style
I commented the same thing in another video ! It's true this is the most important information left out of most documentaries about him which is baffling 😒
He was not out for that long though because he did not take the rest that he really needed
What a load of waffle. He can do run 100m sprints, shoot from the parking lot and also jump 3 metres in the air BUT can't run while kicking the ball aka dribble??
Ronaldo fans are something else.
Ronaldo and Messi had met the season before in the UCL semi final in 2008, they met again in ucl final of 2009.
And yet you have these youngsters of today that want high wages and they cant even beat defenders consistently . Ronaldo was toying them all day long. Goat 🔥🔥🔥
Greatest of all times, just CR7. what a player!!!
Siete tornati finalmente,sono felice !!! CR7 goat
He's special❤
Miss u LEGEND ❤️❤️❤️ 7 ... You have conquered the whole of Europe... 🔥🔥🔥👑👑👑🔥🔥🔥
CR7 is the Goat!
“Favelas won’t forget Neymar at santos” and Messi scientist impossible goal video. But yes Ronaldo is a legend and top 2 of this generation and most famous person in world no doubt. Insane we’re alive to see him and the best player of all time Messi in our lifetime.
He also had some injury due to which he also changed and changed his style. A lot of things weren’t mentioned, but overall video was pretty good
@@ad1k594oh, yes, the 2014 injury. Which he could have actually healed had he not gone to the World Cup and played with it. But because he didn't wanna let his nation down, it worsened the injury to the point it couldn't be healed anymore. He mentioned in his movie how he regretted going to that World Cup.
His performances on the pitch weren't too impacted btw, he played a few days after his son's passing and had one of his best games against Arsenal. He was still a monster on the pitch, struggling very much but recovering outside it tho
@@ad1k594exactly !
CR7 is always at his prime only time hes isnt is when they benched him
Greatest ever to do it
Cr7... complete player.
50 goles en el año natural 2023, nadie tiene más en primera división. The real GOAT.
He is in his prime till he plays football✍️
Ronaldo is and will always be my goat 🐐 honestly it just feels like Ronaldo vs the wrld and everyone just forgets what he’s done
Believe me or not when i was going into elementary school (in Slovakia) i had a classmate i was playing with also in football club, and he was so good you can't even imagine that, for me it's really hard to remember how it's even possible to do things the way he did that was like impossible to take a ball from him no matter how hard someone was trying, he was reeeealy unbelievable i never ever saw something like that before and once i told him he is better than Ronaldo and he was also looking similair to him, the skin, the height, his style, but he was humble so he told me back, nah it's not true, don't say that.that guy was doing bycicle kick goals whenever he decided to and nobody can stop him and his accuracy was out of this world,he was playing with others like with little kids, he was so good that if all players in team he played with were Bad at football he alone was winning matches for the whole team! I will never ever forget that guy, i don't know what is with him now, but i know he got some job, one child and living normal life, and also he did some matches in amateur leagues few years ago, im telling you he had so great potential to become Megastar like Cristiano Ronaldo, for real, but probably he wasn't motivated enough to go that way.
Maturing is appreciating both of Cristiano and Messi's contribution to the beautiful game. I'm not hearing any comparisons or disrespect anymore.
Love this video ❤️
Thank you for the comment
No they fisrt met in the champions league, but it was the previous year (2008) in the semi finals. Man U won, but no ronaldo nor messi scored
he never left his prime till his last manu season , and hes aain in his prime , 5 goals in 5 games for portugal euros , 10 goals and 5 assists in 7 games for al nassr
I used to think your intro was kinda weird but now it makes me smile every time
Bro on the right hand side is baked AF 😂
5:35 this was for his national team, not for his club, any player would do stuff like that if it means winning an international trophy, you should've seen the things Luis Suarez did, all players have a dirty side, and thats part of the game
I LOVE MOOKIE 😂 "Cristiano's prime is the momnt he came out of his mother" ❤😂
fr 😂😂😂
2014/2015 at Real Madrid. 48 league goals in 35 games.
A lot of people either for it being the most recent or because of when they started watching football compare the goal poaching/striker version of ronaldo to messi. Comparing what ronaldo has been wholistically throughout his career there are very few players that come close to him and really none above him
Wait Cristiano didnt answer the call from Florentino Perez, Cristiano arrived to Real Madrid thanks former president Ramon Calderon. To add to that Florentino never wanted Cristiano at Real Madrid which resulted in Cristiano leaving Real. In case you didnt know, Florentino was trying to sign Messi also Neymar while Cristiano was there. Big stab in the back. 12:05
Ronaldo and messi met 2 times already in champions league semi final home and away when utd knocked barcelona out of the tournament and next year met for 3rd time in final where catalan team won. 11:16
And still he in his prime ❤
ronaldo and messi met earlier before the ucl final 09. in the ucl semi final in 08
My idol.. Cr7
2:51 gotta love Mookie
É só ver os números por onde ele passou e é o melhor marcador da liga dos campeões com 15 golos numa idicao
Remember he has the most goals in the world remember that 🤙🏻
the real question is , when wasnt he in his prime?
From 2008-2015 prime peak years
Nick making mookie watch a gang of messi videos its peak
Free mookie man !
2:41 Factz 😂😂
He has always been in prime ever since he step in the field of play..
2:41 GET EM MOOKIE 😂😂😂😂
" Ronaldo been in his prime since he came out of his mother " that's a fact
What a load of waffles. Dude in his last year in Europe started rating every stadium's bench. Even during the WC the bench remained undefeated.
How comes no top club wanted him when he was free in January?? Oh right, cause he was washed and dusted.
2012 Ronaldo man best player I ever seen
2012 was his prime imo. The most complete version of Ronaldo by far
I always like it at the beginning of presenting the video 😂😂😂😂
GOAT
When ronaldo got Rooney sent off playing for Portugal vs England, they were teammates at Manchester Utd. People will laugh at this opinion but if Rooney would have looked after himself like ronaldo and messi he would have been on the conversation too. English culture got the best of Rooney with all the drinking, smoking, takeaway food and even brothels 😂
Rooney actually had more hype around 2004 -2006 than Ronaldo. It’s just hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
Messi and Ronaldo met in the year prior In 07/08 ucl kos
Basketball fans ask about how the game would be with both Bron and MJ playing at the same time, we got to see both of the top 2 of all times at once
React to Cristiano Ronaldo 50 goals impossible to forget...it's him at his best
Noodle hair Ronaldo was something else
CR7 ISSa Generational Talent
Yo yo yoooooo xd TH-cam be like no no hahahaha
GOA7 🐐👑
in the era where Brazilian Ronaldo and Ronaldiho were shinning along side them was another Brazlian who won a ballon d'or and those three won the world cup his name was Rivaldo played in Barcelona
check him out
Cristiano is the 🐐 GOAT 💕
From 2008 to 2020ish. There saved you your time
Cristiano Ronaldo - The Invincible 🐐.
THE REAL GOAT.. PERIOD
THANKS Both Messi and Cris
Now American witness real greatness
11:20 one correction. Messi first played againts Ronaldo in 2007 when Ronaldo's Manchester United knocked out of the champions league Messi's Barcelona.
Naaah Mookie didn't just say he sick of Messi bruh hahaaaaaaaa
2009 wasn’t the first time Messi and Ronaldo met.
In 2008 Man Utd beat Barcelona in the UCL semi final
He is the real GOAT 🫡
I love Ronaldo ever ever ❤❤❤❤in my life
"Im so sick of Messi right now" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Even though Messi is my GOAT I do believe that CR7 is arguably the most influential player of all time. Growing up we admired Messi but we all wanted to be Ronaldo. From his free kick stance, his celebrations, his boots with the white ankle tape, his step overs, etc.
He was honestly a MEGA STAR and he had the arrogance that you loved to have in your team but hated to to go against, kinda like Kobe.
Ronaldos prime was from 2012 to 2016. And kept above average since then
