Finnish symphonic metal originators Stratovarius have set the release dates for their brand new studio album “Eternal” on September 11th, 2015 (Europe) and September 18th, 2015 (USA) on earMUSIC.
The album will be released in 3 formats: Standard CD Jewelcase, Limited Deluxe Edition (CD + DVD mediabook incl. live video tracks recorded at Loudpark Festival 2015 in Japan) and Double Vinyl Gatefold.

I started with Visions, then Four Dimensions (both pretty good and classic), but I don't listen to them anymore. Wanna hear modern and revolutionary sounds? Listen to the full (japanese) version of Nemesis (2013). The album that led me to take up guitar playing haha

No me sorprende de Stratovarius, sigue haciendo grandes obras. Esta canción es toda una obra de arte. El vídeo es impresionante, la letra inspiradora, y la música fantástica. Como dice ggonza43 es una mezcla entre el stratovarius nuevo y viejo. Eternal en general es bastante bueno.
This song is fantastic. I feel it like this current lineup's "Black Diamond" or "Speed of Light" in a way. It's bound to be a classic. it's so damn good.
This might just be my new favorite Strato album. Seriously, who would have thought that they would reach this level again after all the trouble ten years ago? They have just gotten better and better with every release since then.
I just love those rare ocations where age old bands decide to push it further instead of settling with repeating themselves. Some of their best material has been released in these years.

These guys are so strong! Strato is one of those bands that really can do whatever they want. nothing holds them back, not lack of skill, not any misfortune, not line-up changes. Specially right now, the sky really is the limit!!!
The evolution from Polaris is just amazing. Polaris was an average album (but a necessary one), Elysium was really impressive, Nemesis was a masterpiece and Eternal looks really promising. Thanks to Timo, Jens, Mattias, Lauri and Rolf for keeping Stratovarius alive. Probably they are not as popular as they were in the mid 90's, but musically they are at their best. Can't wait to see them live again!

Edge Inferno I don't hate the CD. In fact, on it's own, it's pretty good. However, it's disappointing for a symphony X record. It feels like a water-downed version of Paradise Lost. That's not really typical of them to do that. All the other albums before that had their own identity with plenty of originality, even iconoclast, which took me a while to get into. However I'm just not fond of that album; I've been itching for new SX material, and having to wait 4 years for an album like Underworld is kind of disappointing to me.

Wow that´s classic Stratovarius, and I am not 3 minutes into the song yet. Great great song, really, anthemic and with all the ingredients I really love about this band. They are on fire, if the rest of the album is like this, it´s gonna be their best since their glory days for sure.

At other times, Timo Tolkki replaced the former drummer Tuomo Lassila and keyboardist Anti Ikonen in search of a new sound for the band. Well, his departure and Jörg Michael ended up giving a new and fresh sound to Stratovarius. This process started in the Polaris album and solidified in Elysium. Nemesis brought a modern and "heavyness" in this way they started to walk. I believe Eternal will solidify this path and bring old memories in old fans like me. I like some songs from the Tolkki era, but I was never a fan of Stratovarius until I listened to this album. They reinvented their sound and that's pretty admirable!
What an awesome song to build up my hype! Going to see them live in a week and it's my first time seeing Stratovarius live! They are my first metal band I ever heard of and also the band that made me into metalhead roughly 14 years ago (I am 22 now) and the band I have grown up with! Stratovarius forever!
