I respect Timo very much and he is so very calm. When he speaks about why it took 7 years to compose a new album and the process I couldn't help but make a comparison with how their previous albums were composed and recorded with Tolkki. Tolkki shared that some of the past albums took a few days to compose and a few weeks to recorded as compared to years. It comes down to inspiration and following through with it. Inspirations happens at different times, but I think one main difference with how past albums with Tolkki were made compared to the new Strato is the process behind the inspirations. TImo K. explained that it felt different and it took time to build a song from scratch. However, we must also note that there are specific gifts people have, and Tolkki was the underlying factor that built and established Stratovarius' popularity. The newer Strato will not make albums like Tolkki did, because their gifts and source of inspiration are different than his. Just a thought I wanted to express based on what Timo K. was saying and referring to "one guy" who composed the songs - but to Tolkki's credit he had a vision for the band that he earnestly invested in, which moved the other band members to add their collective gifts as well. Sometimes a band success follows this system, today's Strato follows another recipe for achieving success. Food for thought...
The new album is incredibly great, maybe Im too excited because it is still fresh, but I would rank it among their best 3 albums of all time. Timo seems like a very nice guy, saw them live in Summer Breeze Brazil and he and the rest of the band were all pretty happy to be playing there, at least thats what I think. Thank you for the new album and please keep making music and concerts for us \m/
It looks like timo is being interviewed in a factory or a warehouse. I think this is gonna be a good album the survive song is a top notch song. 🤘 Looking forward to listening to this one. The new helloween album is great too

One of the greatests power metal idols. Great to know a bit more about the last album process and always a pleasure to hear Timo
I love Kotipelto he’s so fabulous
Just amazing. I remember in high school in 1999 I just got into this band. We are all getting older haha.
Fantastic interview with Timo. Really enjoyed his share about the duration of the last track Voice of Thunder in this.
Thank you!
The great voice!!❤ hugs from Chile
Kotipelto es un ícono, además de ser el gran cantante de una de las bandas de metal más importantes. Survive es un álbum extraordinario.
Nice interview
Thank you!
Frozen in time, Voice of thunder - best song!
“World On Fire” is so Epic than “Survive”
I still miss tolkki but this band now is as tight as it's been in a long time and the music is amazing
Today I am going to have the opportunity to go to their concert In Fortaleza city.
