India is a land of Gold and in today's age and time there is no reason for any of us to move anywhere in the world. The problem is that we don't value what we have and take everything for granted. If all of us seriously decided today that my country is above everything else we could easily be the best country to live in the world. And it doesn't even take big money to make this transformation, just a little awareness. For example let's start telling our children how beautiful our country is, how we have the best climate in the world and how we should keep it clean the same way we keep our homes. Just a little awareness and pride in our motherland is required and we can become the envy of the world. Nature has blessed this country with infinite wealth, we just need to open our eyes, it is lying in front of us.
I wish it was that simple. We have one of the most corrupt bureaucracies and politicians leading us, nepotism in government and private, laziness and inefficiency, high unemployment, weak currency, highest population, dug up roads, poor air quality standards, women safety, poor sanitation, low strength passport, etc. Just believing in oneself or telling stories of the past to our children, isn't going to change the rest of the bad deal that comes with being born in India, my friend. Why is it that for every 1 person returning to India, there are 1000s leaving or wanting to leave India?
@@brendcruz3881 your comments are very generalistic. mediocres getting a better deal abroad without skill improvement will move, nothing wrong with that. another reason "many" move out is because of family problems, the current generation is growing in families which are not tight knit they used to be before. to be happy in india, one needs to have good social capital.. i mean india is a land of extremes. most safe places for women are also in india, as well as unsafe ones. same case with pollution. every country has problems. The US, UK, australia for instance have so many unsafe areas.. still indians flock there right.
@Srinivasan Iyer a country of 1.4b, is a rat race, 50,000 applications for one job. Please, do travel and experience life. India is one small country in a big world. The US offers a tremendous amount of opportunities that India will have to continue waiting... it is much easier to make R4CR income in US than in India.
I think the best way for Indians to decide whether they should move out of India or not would be to actually visit their destination of choice for a week or so. If they already have friends or colleagues living there then the best thing to do would be to book a hotel there and request their friends if they could show them around the place. Also another thing to keep in mind would be to visit the place at the worst time of the year so you know before hand how bad it can get in their "dream destination". Considering today's India I feel pretty confident that 90-95% would drop immigration plans of any sort immediately. You will have to spend a couple of lakhs in this approach but it is nothing compared to the years of mental anguish and emotional distress that one will have to go through later in their life.

Over 183 thousand Indian individuals have given up their citizenship between January and October 2022, according to information provided to the Lok Sabha by Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan. Over time, there has been an increase in the number of Indians who give up their nationality. According to data from the Union Ministry of External Affairs, the ten months of 2022 had the highest number of these instances. All this content is a self fulfilling justification for folks who decided to go back for various reasons (not citizens, they couldn’t get their green cards or citizenships) or for those who tried and couldn’t migrate out. We moved to America 20 years ago and are very happy with that decision. End of the day, each person does the best for his/her self and family. This is not about one country vs. the other.
