Paul was the best payout guy in the business. Of course you’re going to have a great territory with great payouts. You take care of the talent and they take care of you.
frank bonini That would be terrific indeed! Or one where Rick Martel would talk about the Montréal territory, or the holy grail would be Lawler or Bill Dundee talk about Memphis. 😊
Why? Because he paid the best? Paul had one city. He inherited one city from an established promoter, Morris Segal. There had been wrestling in Houston for over 30 years before Paul took it over. Fritz had the hottest territory in the world at one time
The Masked Superstar was his original gimmick. He was very successful with it in Japan, the NWA, where he was the Champion and he even wrestled under that gimmick in 1983 for the WWF during his first, brief run. The Demolition gimmick in general is owned by WWE and he probably can't use it.
+The Casual Gamer You're welcome. There's an old picture of Ax as the Masked Superstar in the ring with Andre The Giant, Hulk Hogan and Adrian Adonis where they payed tribute the Vince Sr. who had passed away. The picture was taken in Japan. There's also pictures of him training in Japan with Tony Atlas, Don Morraco and Hulk Hogan.
Pikkon89 I fluent old archives but that was something I never came across. So when Kayfabe Commentaries had him on it was confusing for awhile. Vince Meekmahon must not like Demolition then given this and New Day beating their title reign a while back.
That Andre the Giant Doc on HBO blew dog! A third of it was all about Hulk Hogan and whether or not The Giant was going to get him over at Wrestlmania 3
I like THIS Bruce. Once you make him talk about the territory days and keep him away from kissing Vince's ass... then you would enjoy listening to him.
Save you guys some time. Houston was the greatest wrestling city of all time. Because Bruce says so. The Von Erich’s suck and only Paul Boesch was the smart Booker in Texas.
I can listen to both these bloke talk ALL DAY. I don't if it's embellished. They're both great story tellers.
Facts, sucks Cornett spends too much time bashing aew.
@@Letsgo-hh3ir cornette is a wrestling genius but also a grandstanding hypocrite who's completely full of it
love these 2 talking about the old days.
This may very well be what causes me to break down and buy one of these. Bruce and Jim are two of my favorite podcast hosts ever.
Bruce and Jim...always a great collaboration.
Prichard is a liar, fraud and conman, as demonstrated by Dave Meltzer.
Tihetris Weathersby- ah, another anti-Meltzer mark.

Hahahaha!! Love it when Bruce imitates Jim. Love seeing these two!
Double cheese, double onion
extra maio!
Spend my day working hard on the go, But the hands on the clock keep spinning too slow ,Cause I can't wait to be alone with ma baby tonight
Awesome! These two guys can spin yarns all day and keep people's interest. Now that is a talent!
Do an episode on the Detroit territory too!
I could listen to these two daily so many great stories
Next edition should be World Class with David Manning!
4:30 is what we have been waiting for.
I love that Cornette does an impression of Bruce doing an impression of him.
Thank you.

I love Bruce snd his podcast. The only problem I have with Bruce is he never says anything bad about Vince or how the WWF/E did or does business.
Jim Cornette and Bruce Prichard are two of the funniest guys in the business
Can’t wait to get hold of this dvd

He had one city, Houston
He didn’t have a territory
Sam mechanic in St Louis was it great payout guy as well
Bruce Prichard looks like Andy DuFresne from the Shawshank Redemption
Just as well he aint that hole in the cell wouldn't have been big enough 😂
Cool, Houston is a very underappreciated territory (always in the shadow of Dallas). Very interesting.
frank bonini That would be terrific indeed! Or one where Rick Martel would talk about the Montréal territory, or the holy grail would be Lawler or Bill Dundee talk about Memphis. 😊
Houston Wrestling was NEVER in the shadow of Dallas to us fans!
I think it was the opposite. Dallas was always in the shadow if Houston
Why? Because he paid the best?
Paul had one city. He inherited one city from an established promoter, Morris Segal. There had been wrestling in Houston for over 30 years before Paul took it over. Fritz had the hottest territory in the world at one time
Lmao, Houston was not a territory.
I cannot wait to watch this.
I'd love to hear more about the Wahoo and Harley story..
Needs more brother love
More cartoon shit!
DO DALLAS WITH KEVIN VON ERICH!!
If they sold this whole interview as a podcast I would pay at least 5.99$ for it.
London Kentucky loves ya
+KayfabeCommentaries: Do you have any discounts for people who want to get this whole series? I'm determined to learn about the territories.
Can someone tell me why when Demolition Ax(i think) is interviewed he goes by "The Masked Superstar?"

I wonder how many times in this interview Bruce starts praising HHH and WWE.

Man, if today's wrestling just stuck to one principle... make it look very real.
The principle these days is: Make cash!
Jack Squat Even thirty years ago, there was nothing about pro wrestling that looked real.
I will pay 100 buck to see Jim talk
Bruce looks an overweight version of Tim Robbins...
awesome
Well you know
Anybody ever order from kayfaybe commentaries? Just curious. Heard a couple horror stories

The Houston audience shit on Bruno because he was as entertaining as Bob Ross without the charisma.
