@@ebicbarton Yeah the normal regular axes crits arent good. Armads is always cooler than I remembered somehow.

I feel like its Lyn who's the most stylish and Hector's Armads that's the most badass. Actually Lyn's is pretty badass too. Ah, I can't decide!! they're just both the best ones imo

Lyn's are really good, but IMO Eliwood's are pretty underrated. They look really good.

Raybrand 天 I find Seliph and Leif's to be pretty impressive, too. Their unmounted ones; the mounted ones are pretty boring.
+DigidesteinedSayian Leif's multihit into Shoryuken crit is SO satisfying. And that dash at the beginning of the animation @.@
+DatSteeve I gave Seliph Sigurd's Silver Sword, so he criticaled almost every time. Leif is so fast, he leaves trails! When the second attack is a critical, he even backflips and then dashes!

Eliwood's is the best by far, he makes his horse fucking FLY!!!
I dislike the idea that in FE7 the lords had their own animations for their legendary weapons but in FE8 it's gone
A lot of things in FE8 feel a bit lazier. I also dislike how all the promotions for Ephraim and Eirika add are horses

Unpromoted Eliwood and Eirika have nice and simple critical animations. Not as flashy as the others, but they're my favorites.
Eliwood and Ephiram had the best ones, so epic and stylish!

Eliwood is great, he can own you with both hands (right-handed when unpromoted, left-handed when promoted)

All the FE games after GBA weren't nearly as interesting to look at in combat imo.
Arsoras Yeah... these sprite animations were gorgeous. the benefit of such limited detail is that a lot of effort can be focused into making those short animations look as good as possible, and the GBA Fire Emblem games *really* pushed that far.

They're nice, but still have the same issue of other 3D FE, that is the movement looking tad bit weightless.
Path of Radiance.. Radiant Dawn... Shadow Dragon, New Mystery of the Emblem, Shadows of Valentia... Heroes... Maybe you could put Fates on the list, but it's either that or I hate Azura's atta- I mean crit.

I know that the crit animations for the DS games were supposed to be more "realistic", but the GBA animations had way more charm to them. And by charm, I mean _sheer badassery_ .
I hear that if you can sit through the entire intro, there's an actual video at the end of it.

You forgot Lyn's beta animation for Durandal (apparently she was originally intended to use the weapon, but they gave it to Eliwood instead and gave her the Sol Katti)

Eirika has an unused critical animation where she slices the opponent instead of stabbing them. It got changed though along with her entire attack animation stance to the fencing one we know and love today.

Anyone notice how Hector holds Armads in his left hand when everything else is held in his right?
Also how Eliwood switches from right handed to left handed when he classes up.
It's probably to make the attacks easier to see, but in Japanese culture, using your left hand was seen as kinda evil and sinister. By that, I just mean that they would see someone hitting way harder if they were using their left hand.

Fun fact: Hector wield armand with his left arm, but when he crit, he uses his Right arm.
To go with that, Eliwood uses his right hand while unpromoted and left when he has.

Sooooo..... How am I supposed to figure out which hand the lords use when frugging Eliwood wields his sword in his right hand before his promotion, and then just decides to switch to his left hand. Same with Ephraim.

a weird thing is with hector armads critical. when he is spinning armads, he is wielding it in his left hand, but when stricking, he wields with right. when he goes back to holding he holds with left hand. hector ambidextorous confirmed?

All Lyndis crits - skill lord;
Only Normal Elliwood crit is good- very knightly;
All Hector crits - such savage, it works as his style;
All Eirika crits - such elegance;
All Ephraim crits - such style and skill.

How do I know that? Super Smash Bros Brawl. She can find your opponent ANYWHERE ON THE GODDAMN STAGE NO MATTER THE SIZE OF THE STAGE WITHOUT EVEN MOVING! And on top of that, there's near no way to avoid her (she has, like 99% hit or something, with 100% critical. Seriously, if you don't dodge or air dodge in time, you're sure to be sent flying quite a distance). You could say she goes Sonic speed, but gee, Sonic's speed in Brawl is nothing compared to her.

where is the light brand critical hits?
Light brand, Runesword and Wind sword cannot do critical hits, although you can hack it so you can crit, this was posted in 2008 so i don't think it they had that hack back then.
Anyways save your time, if you hack it so it can crit, the animation will only have the sword glow for half a second and then *insert damage or whatever here*

@@Rolanmen1 No. Actually, it looks to run pretty equally. Itb looks like your use an emulator.. Not a GBA. Actual GBA animations aren't that smooth.
I did used an emulator. I do not have a GBA so I cannot test.

I shamefully never really used Ephraim in Sacred Stones since my first playthrough was following Eirika's path, but man, I have been missing out. His crit animation is sexy, and I would gladly be gay for Ephraim.
