By the time the spark happens, the new motherboard has processed Wall-E's existing memory and adjusts accordingly.

      Its sci-fi so we'll assume they find an "artificial gravity projector" like star wars, star trek, ... But it dosen't change physics: if gravity is created by the ship, then even iif the ship rotates, the persons on it will stay on the ground.

    • @JakkFrost1
      @JakkFrost1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      In most sci-fi, artificial gravity is not the same as rotational or centripetal gravity. In any case, I'm pretty sure artificial gravity has absolutely nothing to do with all those people sliding to the side. That type of thing would be governed by what Star Trek called inertial dampeners. Without those, when the ship went to warp/hyperspeed, everybody would be crushed flatter than a pancake against the nearest wall that was opposite the direction of warp.

    I love how Jeremy forgot to sin the fact that not only was the ship that took Wall-E to the Axiom only a few thousand miles away from the *SUN,* but also the fact that they traveled all 92 million miles from Earth TO the Sun, and then *all the way* to Saturn, which is another *888 million miles away,* and then to the Axiom some absurd distance away we don't know all in the span of a few minutes of screen time.
    We know it's Saturn because we can see the planet's rings in that one shot where Wall-E collides his hand with the space dust, *which should've annihilated his hand (and probably the rest of his robotic arm) due to the extremely fast speeds of Saturn's rings, around 1,100 Mph*
    By the time Wall-E reached the Axiom all the way from Earth (EVEN WITH FTL TRAVEL) it would NOT take the YEAR that AUTO stated it would with that Annual Earth Probing crap. By that math, he would've sent hundreds of probes to earth before even ONE EVE probe made it back to the Axiom in time.
    Assuming all of this, Wall-E would've held onto the ship carrying him to the Axiom for maybe a hundred years: the time he would need to replace ALL of his electronics by the time he even reached the Axiom starliner. Not to mention his components would've been baked by constant background EM radiation and the sheer heat of the Sun, unbridled by Earth's atmosphere.
    Yeah, Wall-E is toast.
    I leave it up to Film Theory to finish this scientific mess.

      We're not shown the whole world, but the scene with dead Wall-Es just mean that there could be others like him, slowly gaining consciousness and salvaging parts, maybe even fighting with each other over them. But as we're shown, he's the last that's functioning, or so he thinks, it's actually not important if there are other Wall-Es thousand miles away - he's still special, because he's gained consiousness.

    • @g4mmalotus937
      @g4mmalotus937 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I'm sure if he was able to gain consciousness, then any other wall-e's that survived are just as likely to. There doesn't seem to be any variables unique to this wall-e that could have triggered a path to sentience, so one could assume that it's just a pre-determined path. Though I don't think every Wall-E would have the same personality as ours, they might develop their own unique personalities based on their surroundings. Wall-E is interested in romance because he saw it in Guys and Dolls. Another Wall-e might be interested in real architecture after building towers for so long, another might be near a mine, and their curiosity led to a love of spelunking.
      I don't think that the Wall-E's would have fought, they don't seem like violent people.
      Also, I think that the other Wall-E's might have been defective, which is why they're not functioning, but they look like they were in the middle of working when they stopped working. Dang it, now I wanna make my own Film Theory about this!

    Actually the obesity would make sense on a generational vessel. You do have a point though, they wouldn't all be obese. Unless the vessel is equipped to simulate an approximation of Earth's gravity the best you could hope for is keeping muscles active. Without Earth's gravity, something we evolved around, the build up of fat via sugar intake would be rapid and impossible to get rid of. Barring the outliers such as hyper active metabolisms. At this point the hover chairs aren't just a luxury. They're a necessity. And it's highly unlikely that they'd survive a return to Earth because we're talking generations upon generations of living in gravity that isn't Earth's or close enough to it to maintain the physical standards and skeletal strength we have now. They wouldn't be able to stand up let alone walk.

      At that point, just keep all those humans in the spaceship. Bring in some chimpanzees and re-start evolution... Maybe we'll get something better.

    I think Pixar used real humans at 1:14 because later the humans in the film become morbidly obese after years without exercise in space. It's almost like laziness and our dependency on machines turns us into parodies of our former selves, being that we become more cartoon like. Just my theory.

    So how about this: The Axiom seems to have artificial gravity, because everything is sticking to the ground. However, when the ship tilts over, everyone slips down to the bottom edge. One would assume that if the designs of the ship would make it so that the artificial gravity always stuck you firmly to the floor to prevents the exact situation in the film, in which everyone piles up in a gross mass of man.

    • @rcnrbn
      @rcnrbn 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @michelvanderlinden8363
      @michelvanderlinden8363 8 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Colton Tuers I dont think I've ever had a reply to something I said that completely NOT understood what I said. I'm impressed. This "heavy robot" (wall-E) comes up to a humans knee I believe? Even if he was made out of pure lead, he wouldn't exactly be heavier than an adult human male. And I have seen a grown man, roughly 200 pounds, STAND on a specific type of cockroach, and not only did the cockroach crack/crunch, it WALKED AWAY like it was nobody's business. Not just "step on". STAND. As in, full weight. So educate yourself before attempting to call someone out with "your statement is dumb".
