I still love this movie though. It was the first movie I remember seeing in theaters actually! Still amazed at how good of a voice cast they were able to get for this. I mean who doesn't love Kevin Spacey as the sarcastic villain? Probably still my favorite Pixar movie just for the sheer nostalgia alone.
If they had only given the same amount of attention to detail they gave to Saphira to everything else in that movie it would've been much better. Though to be completely fair the book had plenty of faults too. No author should publish a book they wrote when they were 13 years old.
This was one of those movies where they'd purposefully make bloopers and stick them in at the end just for the fun of it. I miss things like that, I really do.
“Imagine two Russians, playing with Hitler’s index finger. Shortly after the ending of WW2....That’s basically what’s happening here.” Me: **Realizing how morbid and accurate that joke is for the second time** ....Ho shit..
The way he phrased that makes me think that the CinemaSins guy denied their existence in a previous Sins video. He did a similar thing after stating that Peacocks are unable to fly in the second Kung Fu Panda sins video; in a later video, can't remember which one, he said that "Peacocks can totally fly and it's stupid to think otherwise" XD Lmao
Yeah the sarcasm was definitely noticeable...maybe he just doesn't know everything. He researches a lot, clearly. Kudos to him. But even a guy like him who gets his facts first might miss a few details from time to time.
Also, bioluminescent mycelium is very common. I see it everytime I dig holes at night with my red light that doesn't ruin my eyeballs' night vision. Its very faint, but pretty and delightful to find.
Young queens have wings and can fly. This is so because every once in a while, an elder queen ant will start to produce young queens to either replace her and/or the excess young queens will fly away to start a new colony.
and nemo would have been a female that mated with his own father. because that's what happens to clownfish if the rest of their group die off. the latest spawn switch genders and mate with whats available.
+marcus24000 Or, as The World God Only Knows puts it: _"In the first place, the logic that says, 'those who only play games are kids' is itself an illusion. Therefore, one might say that shoehorning reality into your stubborn dualism is already a criticism of the self. In short, humans can only recognise reality through the filter called 'me' and so they are unable to escape the constraints of their uncanny existence."_
+marcus24000 ~ No, it's wrong even by Nature's standards. Some species may evolve an emergency way to deal with survival of the species the way clown fish have, but in nearly all vertebrate species at least, inbreeding too much is too genetically damaging.
hoooooooooooolyy sheeeeeeet you mind reading wizard I've been thinking about doing the Truman show for a wile then the instant I think about it I see your comment. 😶
Fun fact(s): The ant queen has to mate with one drone from a different colony of ants, then she has *limited* ant sperm to lay eggs with... Workers constantly die off, new ones are constantly born slightly faster. When she runs out of sperm the majority of the colony dies, and the princesses fly off to do it all over again but with their own hill. Another thing, Dot couldn't be such a small ant without deformity. she'd be a larva if she was a baby. And, her ant sister should have flown to make a new colony of her own by now instead of sitting around.
Also shouldn’t dot be still in her larvae stage if she’s only a child ant? Why does a kid ant have wings? Im sorry I haven’t been watching a lot of ants Canada.
The ant getting lost around the leaf scene actually makes sense if you know anything about ants. When ants lose a scent trail they will actually become lost and confused until an older ant comes along and gives them a new trail to follow.
Everything wrong with “A Bug’s Life”: Princess Atta doesn’t accept that Flik is helping the colony and treats him like crap for his clumsiness. And when she found out that Flik lied to the island, when in truth, Flik is trying to help the colony and cover up the fact that he mistakenly brought in clowns, she banished him for lying. (Or should I say “trying to help”?). And when Flik returns, she doesn’t apologize to him for treating him like sh*t. And yet, she became queen at the end. It’s all Princess Atta’s fault for treating Flik badly.
This is the plot of like all movies. Some stupid misunderstanding because these characters can't communicate like normal human beings. They're always like "bu..but...but wait, you don't understand...no, please listen!" when they should just be like "look stfu for 5 fucking seconds and let me explain ok"
let's not pretend like Flik doesn't have any agency or place in the situation, though. like Princess Atta had her faults that ultimately led to the plot but we don't need to turn it into "it's all her fault" either

11:55 The way Hopper says, "I'll be back NEXT season" really reminded me of Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget, and I was hoping I'd see it in the outtakes.
Nope. Look up the definition. It comes fromt the phrase "true bug" meaning a small insect. They are creepy crawlies like worms and beetles, but they are not insects.
Great video, but in regards to the baby bird eating grasshopper sin parent birds will bring live prey back to the nest once their chicks are old enough so that they get used to eating moving things. Also he/she isn't shoving it down their throat, he/she is holding it still while the young rip him limb from limb and eat his guts while he screams in agony.
And technically, all the worker ants should be female (and given that they all are the queen's young, titles like "princess" should be kind of meaningless).
To be fair, we see fly larvae in this movie, and they're depicted as crying infants. The short-lived Disney Channel cartoon _The Buzz on Maggie_ did the same thing with its larval characters.

Franken Stein They are Dogs in this movie, so still sin-worthy!
+Franken Stein, I said it before & I'll say it again.. THAT'S RACIST!!! (hee hee)
No. The Aphids like to eat the sap in plants and release it back as a sugary fluid called honey dew. Ants like it, so they protect them and carry then to places with more sap.
A Dj so like cattle dude you just described 🐮
can you do everything wrong with over the hedge
Yassss
I wouldn't mind seeing that.
I agree with this comment.
everything.
how dare you! there is nothing wrong with a bugs life. in fact, the only reason you did this video was for an excuse to watch the movie again.
You forgot, "Main character does something completely embarrassing and is shamed for it" Cliche
12:18 This. This was the most brilliant sin I've ever heard :D (especially funny to me since I *am* a Russian)
Hahahaha. That is funny.
I can imagine us doing that, honestly.
Did you also play with Hitler's finger?
i lost my shit at that one. oh god.
3:19 has to be the funnies cliche this channel has ever sinned x'D I mean come on, how can you hear/say "Bumbling idiot bad guy lackey saying things at inappropiate times that are expositional ultematley helpful for the audience cliche" and not giggle?
Oh and I may have loled to hard at the "shouldnt you lead with the mom shquishing?" line
A Thug's Life.
lool
lol
Nice.
😎
+A Rough Rider oh stop it. That's racist
Slim: Must be an ant thing.
CinemaSins: No, it's just a dumb thing.
Me: Actually, you're both wrong. It's a Flik thing.
Correction: It’s a Filk and Dot thing. I really love the interactions between the two
@@savannahwestover2538 exactly, it's one of the things I love about this movie. Sadly no one cares to talk about this movie. 😥
SpongeBob SquarePants I love the movie too. The relationship between Dot and Flik is absolutely amazing. It’s more than just friends it’s more like an older brother/younger sister bond or something
@@savannahwestover2538 yea, it feels like they have more of a relationship than Dot and princess atta. Also it's pretty sad people talk more about Cars 2 then a Bugs life🐛
False
It's a bing thing
Everything Wrong with Zootopia?!
YASS PLS
I said this one on his last vid too... So yes PLZ DO THIS
everything.
Is the bluray/dvd out yet? He waits for those before he sins them.
yes its out since june 7th
I still love this movie though. It was the first movie I remember seeing in theaters actually! Still amazed at how good of a voice cast they were able to get for this. I mean who doesn't love Kevin Spacey as the sarcastic villain? Probably still my favorite Pixar movie just for the sheer nostalgia alone.
"Why isn't this movie beloved by more 90s kids?" Trust me, it is. B)
Or by 90s toddlers!
I remember hating this movie 😅
I enjoyed it. I owned it on dvd and watched it plenty of times. Not one of my top favorites but enjoyable enough.
this made me realize how much I love Disney and Pixar films!
5:02 A Bug's Life predicted "Did you just assume my gender?!"

Ha ha, that picture's years old, but thanks.
I pause shortly before he said Flyboy and wasnt sure if he is going to say fucker or not.
Actually there are over 70 types of bioluminescent mushrooms
@RuleofVicus oof
There must be another. Man-made or otherwise.
Thank you i thought for sure noone knew about bioluminescence (cinema sin and comments)
"Quentin TarANTino" I'm sinning cinemasins for that pun.
DO EVERYTHING WRONG WITH THE BEE MOVIE
absolutely nothing
No movie is without sin

+Haamid501 true except bee movie
+Haamid501 *With the exception of Bee Movie
The fact that he didnt make a joke when the ant said " I can't come when you hover like that" shows he got some level of restraint
Everything Wrong With Eragon!
I liked A Series Of Unfortunate events...
Literally everything is wrong when it comes to the Eragon movie
EVERYTHING!
+KatzGoMeow I still enjoyed it though
If they had only given the same amount of attention to detail they gave to Saphira to everything else in that movie it would've been much better. Though to be completely fair the book had plenty of faults too. No author should publish a book they wrote when they were 13 years old.
Everything wrong with Space Jam

There are actually dozens of mushroom species that glow in the dark including Armillaria mellea, the Honey mushroom, which is edible.
Dont ants eat grasshoppers?
Yes. Yes they do.
Yes, but the ants here don't know that.
my poin exactly. living grasshoppers in an ant colony, only happens if they are eaten alive.
+I. Th. What does even a cockroach mean. If ants can take down a grasshopper I'm sure they would do the same to a cockroach.
+I. Th. well I've seen ants kill crabs and hercules beatles so im sure they can take out a cockroach
This was one of those movies where they'd purposefully make bloopers and stick them in at the end just for the fun of it. I miss things like that, I really do.
“Imagine two Russians, playing with Hitler’s index finger. Shortly after the ending of WW2....That’s basically what’s happening here.”
Me: **Realizing how morbid and accurate that joke is for the second time** ....Ho shit..
Fluorescent mushrooms do exist though
The way he phrased that makes me think that the CinemaSins guy denied their existence in a previous Sins video. He did a similar thing after stating that Peacocks are unable to fly in the second Kung Fu Panda sins video; in a later video, can't remember which one, he said that "Peacocks can totally fly and it's stupid to think otherwise" XD Lmao
Sterling Muse that was the Madagascar video, in which he admitted that peacocks can fly.
Yeah the sarcasm was definitely noticeable...maybe he just doesn't know everything. He researches a lot, clearly. Kudos to him. But even a guy like him who gets his facts first might miss a few details from time to time.
Mycena chlorophos looks a lot like the ones in the movie, very pretty.
Also, bioluminescent mycelium is very common. I see it everytime I dig holes at night with my red light that doesn't ruin my eyeballs' night vision. Its very faint, but pretty and delightful to find.
Here's a sin in real life the colony is mostly female and has few males. Also only the males can fly
Right on.
queens can fly too
Young queens have wings and can fly. This is so because every once in a while, an elder queen ant will start to produce young queens to either replace her and/or the excess young queens will fly away to start a new colony.
It completely depends on the type of ant.
not all male ants can fly, only certain species
Come on cinema sins you know disney don't pay attention to animal life spans if they did Dory from finding Dory would be dead lol.
and nemo would have been a female that mated with his own father. because that's what happens to clownfish if the rest of their group die off. the latest spawn switch genders and mate with whats available.
Mother nature is into some really fucked up shit, And she needs to get her shit sorted.
+marcus24000 Or, as The World God Only Knows puts it:
_"In the first place, the logic that says, 'those who only play games are kids' is itself an illusion.
Pay ANTenttion*
"It's not that your inventions don't work it's because no one gives a s***" I died from hearing this thank you cinema sins you made my day

Everything wrong with the Truman show
Yes! I've been wanting that for a while!
hoooooooooooolyy sheeeeeeet you mind reading wizard I've been thinking about doing the Truman show for a wile then the instant I think about it I see your comment.
😶
No that movie Is great
I love it but I would also love a sin video for it.
a everything wrong with deadpool would be better
Fun fact(s):
The ant queen has to mate with one drone from a different colony of ants, then she has *limited* ant sperm to lay eggs with...
And, her ant sister should have flown to make a new colony of her own by now instead of sitting around.
headcanon: dot is a queen ant with dwarfism
Also shouldn’t dot be still in her larvae stage if she’s only a child ant? Why does a kid ant have wings? Im sorry I haven’t been watching a lot of ants Canada.
@@ToxicCatt-y7c dot is not a larva just a newly metamorphosed ant with dwarfism
the ants in a bug's life are based on camponotus pennsylvanicus (but anthropomorphized, missing a pair of legs and blue instead of black)
@@maxinerosaler762 I’m pretty sure dot wouldn’t least be a pupae in reality.
The ant getting lost around the leaf scene actually makes sense if you know anything about ants.
When ants lose a scent trail they will actually become lost and confused until an older ant comes along and gives them a new trail to follow.
1:57 Ants treating aphids like pets? THAT'S RACIST!!! (ding)
No it's aphist (ding)
A lot of "bugs" in this film 😝😅😝
that always bugged me
12:20 I 😂
Everything wrong with “A Bug’s Life”: Princess Atta doesn’t accept that Flik is helping the colony and treats him like crap for his clumsiness.
Turnip so true I hated that I was like defend yourself don’t let them grow over you
Male ants are pretty useless anyways
let's not pretend like Flik doesn't have any agency or place in the situation, though. like Princess Atta had her faults that ultimately led to the plot but we don't need to turn it into "it's all her fault" either
@@kittenmimi5326 dang

or War of the worlds 2005

+ItsEganTime well Atlantis the los empire??
and the Hunger Games could be considered a serious movie and he sinned that
I Dunno He's not going to sin a movie about religion too, so Prince of Egypt is off the list.
I always wanted a bugs life 2 to happen and it really fucked me up when I went to the movies once and there was a preview that looked like it could've been a bugs life 2 but it was cars 2 😒
ya almosy all disney sequels suck badly
Ummm, Toy Story 2 and 3 were amazing and so was Finding Dory lol. The only terrible one was really Cars and Monsters Univesity (kinda haha)
Mario Gutierrez fox and the hound and little mermaid plus lilo and stich too

Haaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Get the heck outta here you Horn-blowing Beatnik.
Lol I see what you did there
11:55 The way Hopper says, "I'll be back NEXT season" really reminded me of Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget, and I was hoping I'd see it in the outtakes.
You failed. You missed the biggest flaw in this film. Spiders are not bugs, they are arachnids.
You mean they are not insects, they are still bugs.
Nope. Look up the definition. It comes fromt the phrase "true bug" meaning a small insect. They are creepy crawlies like worms and beetles, but they are not insects.
*****
My bad. I looked up the definition after I posted and thought "Boy, am I going to get it."
It's alright. :) LOL It's a super common mistake. I'm just surprised that CinemaSins didn't catch it.
Spiders are arachnids. Ants are insects. Is there a proper zoological definition for "bug"? Cause both ants and spiders are creepy-crawlies to me.
what did the human day to the tick?
don't tick me off!
thank you I'll be hear all night
Great video, but in regards to the baby bird eating grasshopper sin parent birds will bring live prey back to the nest once their chicks are old enough so that they get used to eating moving things. Also he/she isn't shoving it down their throat, he/she is holding it still while the young rip him limb from limb and eat his guts while he screams in agony.
Holy crap that's even worse! XD I always assumed he was swallowed whole as a kid, not torn limb from limb!
That's... gruesome and very believable.
Damn nature! You scary!
Kevin Spacey as Hopper.

Did you heard about something called "innocence until proven otherwise"?
4:53 "Hey cutie! wanna pollinate with a real bug!?"...oh my... why Pixar, WHY?!?!?
why are there ant kids? shouldnt they be larva or coocoons? and it is Aseops fable crossbred with the secen samurai and three amigos
And technically, all the worker ants should be female (and given that they all are the queen's young, titles like "princess" should be kind of meaningless).
good Q. When ants come out of their larva are they the same size as adult ants?
Yeah, I got the Seven Samurai reference early on. The only thing is none of the good guys died.
To be fair, we see fly larvae in this movie, and they're depicted as crying infants. The short-lived Disney Channel cartoon _The Buzz on Maggie_ did the same thing with its larval characters.

SuperJackster01 Mine too. My first is Ratatouille.
I would never call it my favorite, because Incredibles is a thing, but I still feel that I enjoy A Bugs Life much more than I probably should. Probably because it was my first Pixar movie, unless Toy Story was my actual first one and I don't remember right.
