If it helps, there's a theory that true whales share a common language with whale sharks and basking sharks due to sharing ecological niches; alternately, whale sharks and basking sharks have such a good relationship with whales in general that their children are raised bilingually.

Extra sin: These fish are transferred from water source to water source, even though Dory and Pals are obviously saltwater fish. Now, I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I'm pretty sure the transfer from saltwater to freshwater would be...y'know...bad.

I totally agree with everything you've said, even though I loved this movie. However, I have to admit that the scene where they pan out and the tire is completely surrounded by seashell trails made me cry like a baby. I was home from college for a little while and visiting my family, after having done really poorly for yet another semester. I sat in the theater with one parent on each side and just burst into tears at that moment and hugged them both. So, despite all its flaws, man this movie is super touching to me.
(Anyway, there's the story no one asked for today, but I felt like sharing.)

Why has no one pointed out that the salt water fish consistently fell into freshwater? The tank with the toy fish and the mop bucket, for example. It takes like 2-5 minutes for a saltwater fish in freshwater to start getting disoriented and float almost lifeless on their sides. Those fish should have been confused and weak, and then died in that freshwater.

Also, Marlin and Nemo shouldn't be alive in the tank in front of the toy store, since it isn't seawater and is just freshwater, unless if the movie's clownfish were genetically created from the lab to tolerate freshwater, even so, Marlin and Nemo should have been catapulted into the aquarium with the clam in it, but I guess it is just a kids movie.
Also, Dory's parents have lived in the Californian sea even though it is too cold for real blue tangs to live in.

Whale Sharks are filter-feeding Sharks; one of only three known species of shark who are. They eat things like plankton, so there's absolutely zero reason for any live fish to be thrown into their enclosure in the first place, even if it wasn't a bright blue fish.

Dear, the fact that it's a cartoon or a kid's movie doesn't mean it can't "make sense." There are any other number of ways she could have gotten into that tank that would have been move believable. Considering this is the same movie that had an octopus piloting a baby stroller around the park without anyone noticing, they could have gotten her there without an illogical plot device that didn't make sense for a whale shark's tank. No one is talking about a "documentary."

1. after an entire year Nemo would be an adult or at least a teen. We're talking about fish here.
2. From the time Dory was a little child to now, why has absolutely nothing changed. It's like she was a kid yesterday.
3. Whale sharks are sharks not whales, so Dory is not speaking whale, she is speaking shark.
4. That is NOT how Echolocation works.

Sea urchins are often in touch pools. You put a finger in between the spikes and the urchin tries to entrap the finger. It's kinda fun, but most parents bring their child over to less spiky critters and tell them to touch gently.
I know this is a sin itself to sin the sinners. But at 4:23, he questions about the fish being able to hear the voice from the water. Besides the obvious question of why they understand english. Interestingly enough. Sound waves and such are actually heard better underwater and transfar greater distances than in air. Just a quick fact for you bois.

In Finding Nemo, it took like 60% of the movie for Marlin and Dory to travel from the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney. In Finding Dory, they travel from the Great Barrier Reef to California in one chapter!

So basically, in the first, it took only ONE chapter to get ACROSS THE PACIFIC OCEAN. Marlin was really resilient to get there too.
But here, it takes a huge majority, even thought the Great Barrier Reef is OFF THE COAST OF AUSTRALIA.

Also not to mention before any of the food issues one has to remember that in such small bags with a small volume of water those fish would all suffocate from oxygen depletion in the water. And Dory was just gone, you don't just go searching without any clues, they would have to cover the entirety of oceans and seas on Earth, which is stupid, because Dory would be moving too and they would never find her.
Also every sin revolving around her memory. She literally says that being with Marlin makes her remember better in the first movie.

The biggest sin I thought of was the fact that it was near impossible to get from the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney Harbour yet getting to a Californian aquarium was somehow just one ride with a turtle that took them ages to find last time. I'd remove the sins for the memory stuff because sometimes once one memory is recalled, more memories may trigger that wouldn't before because your mind is focused on connecting the dots. Dory would have forgotten things when she was back in open water because she'd had a panic attack.
Does everyone just ignore the fact that Marlin has to hold on to Dude-Crush while going through the fast current but yet Nemo and Dory are just floating a top the other turtle without any problem??

Disney has some legit sad moments. Bambi's mother dying, Todd being left alone in the woods in Fox and the Hound, That sequence in Up, baby gorilla being eaten in Tarzan, etc. They tend to give movies happy endings but by god, they make you cry first.

you never specified the fact that for more than half the movie, dory was swimming in fresh water. no sin for that?
As far as I can remember the only freshwater she was into was the water bottle in the stroller and in the truck at the end of the movie (Still a sin tough...), the water she was in her first visit to the quarantine was taken by Hank from her tank (so sea water)...
And he pointed out how the baby turtle hadn't aged a bit but not about how Nemo did the same fucking thing. 1 sin for that. A Cinema Sin sin.

1. Blue Tangs and Clownfish are both saltwater fish, and there are many incidents where they are in freshwater for a good amount of time (the coffee maker, the destiny bucket, the sippy cup, the toy fish tank, the cleaning bucket, etc..).
2. 15:02 The first time all of the fish got thrown to the tank one left of where they were before, what would happen to the fish on the very left? They would just fall off and die?
3. 15:41 It doesn't matter that none of the fish hit the rock, because the fish should die almost on impact after hitting the water from that height and that pace.
Plus feeding Dory to Destiny. Whale sharks do NOT eat fish.

I guess it’s notable that saltwater fish can still be left in freshwater for a good few minutes, it’s even semi-common practice to give livestock for home aquaria a 5 minute freshwater dip to get rid of parasites! And yeah they were certainly in there for more than 5 minutes, but the accepted maximum is 10 minutes, and I doubt they were taking hours on end between “breaks”.

Yep I think this is something most ppl don’t get. Dory was happy to help Marlin so she remembered the boat that swam passed her, on the other hand, she was super worried about finding her parents to hank that she already forgot what they’re talking about on their very first conversation.

What ne bugged out the most of all was the car drive!!! The septacus could not see a thing as he said previously because hes to short! So how the f*** does he know HOW MUCH left he has go when dory shouts LEFT! this was the biggest sin in this movie for me at least
